Excellent, well-maintained and clean property in great location - central to the Peak District and our touring plans.

Also a short distance walking from the village for pubs etc. Garden well landscaped and maintained.

Second time staying there and will do so again .

It`s a nice big place , very well presented and in an excellent location .

Very well equipped with everything you might need while you are staying there. A very nice layout with plenty of space, light and air to relax. Very nicely maintained and looked after. The situation is ideal for a holiday walking in the countryside. Walking to Bakewell and getting the bus back is a particular favourite (check the timetable). Thanks very much to the owners for helping to make our holiday so good.

Fantastic village of Youlgrave. Absolutely would love to stay again

Parking for two cars and easy access.

Property was nicely furnished and and clean throughout. Dissapointed there was no welcome "gift" especially as there are local village bakeries which could be supported. Whilst some of the labelling was useful this seemed a little excessive. Friends staying in the upstairs bedroom found it very warm, in part due to the high tog duvet. The conservatory and area to the back of the bungalow needs attention, especially the table, chairs and flower beds. Seating in the conservatory was insufficient - another small sofa would be useful as two of us had to use dining chairs. Some door stops would be handy as we found the doors slammed when left ajar. The surrounding area was delightful, a pleasant village for an evening stroll (and the obligatory pub stop) and good walking from the doors. Next door neighbours were friendly and helpful. As a safety precaution the small pool at the front should be covered and a spare front door key would be useful.

Once again we have enjoyed a lovely week at this property.

The EV charger is a real bonus. We plan to return next year.

This was one of the nicest holiday homes we have ever stayed in.

We really appreciated the high-spec appliances and comfortable furniture. The space is great for a family get-together and the high chair and travel cot provided were perfect for us. Youlgreave is an excellent base for exploring the peak district and a lovely place to stay. We particuarly enjoyed lunch at the Bull's Head. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A very well presented property in a fabulous village.

Very peaceful. Great location for days out in every direction. But rather too many strongly worded "dos and donts" from the owner ! Also we had a heatwave throughout our stay and its impossible to sleep in the upstairs "mezzanine" bedroom due to it being intensely HOT the whole time ! I feel the owner needs to address this as my partner ended up trying to sleep in the childs bunk room !

We loved our stay at Rozel, and the Peak District.

Great location with everything we wanted to see/do a short distance away but also walks straight from the door. The cottage was really comfortable, clean and had everything we needed (the only thing we missed was a slotted spoon for scooping out poached eggs but we made do).

Wow, what an amazing property.

It had everything you could think of and more. So much space we were able to spread out. The view from the lounge I could look at everyday. Appreciated the labels on switches etc, very helpful. Walked into village every morning which took only minutes, pub was even closer and a must try if you visit.We all loved it that we will definitely be back.

One of the nicest holiday homes we have stayed in and certainly the best we have been to in Youlgreave .

Off road parking , easy to walk to places , village centre a short walk, eateries nearby and comfortable spacious accommodation .

Rozel really is a very nice property to have a holiday in.

Very clean and comfortable, and very well equipped. The village of Youlgreave has a great community feeling about it and the pubs and cafes were all very friendly. We were able to be as eco friendly as possible by doing all our mountain biking and walking from the door. Our only gripe was that we could not use the garage to store out mountain bikes, and if we came in the summer, it would be useful for our motorbikes. The neighbours are very friendly and chatty too. All in all, a super place and we would be very happy to return.

It’s a really lovely property and very convenient for great walks as well as visiting Chatsworth House and Bakewell.

Nice village with local pub serving excellent food nearby. We had not realised that the third bedroom with bunk beds was only really suitable for children but the bunk beds were very comfortable! Could have done with a mirror in there however. Very clean and everything conveniently labelled. Particularly liked the folder with information and appliance instructions. Some very nice touches. Highly recommend for 4 adults and two children/teenagers.

this holiday home is one of the best we have stayed in, very quiet ( apart from the wonderful church bells on Sundays) very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and well situated. We found the small labels useful! It's the first property we've rented, with any company, where there was no welcome pack, other than a few sachets for hot drinks. Some guests had received packs, including friends of ours who stayed in 2023. If no longer provided, we suggest that is stated on the spec for the property so guest know. That said, we would like to return - we had the relaxing, hassle free week we were in need of. Thank you:)

Beautiful property .

True to description. Spotlessly clean in a lovely location , close to several pubs & shops. Lots of internal and external space . So much to do in the local area . Only downside for us , is that the third bedroom is bunk beds , although strong and a decent size , not ideal for our family with young adults . Also smoke alarm was very sensitive, kept going off when we tried to cook breakfast for our family. Information and support given was good through Sykes , we would have liked the option of a late checkout . Checking in at 4PM & having to leave at 10 AM , means you don’t really get a full day .

Other than the slightly amusing dymo label notes everywhere, this was one of the best holiday properties I've stayed at in 25 years.

Really nice and spacious and worked out perfectly for us with grandparents and a 2 year old. Lovely property with great facilities and had everything we needed. The only downside was lack of local takeaways combined with the opening hours of the pubs and village bakery being quite limited.

A choice of a lower tog duvet would have been appreciated.

A clothes hook on the back of the shower room door and a cutlery drainer with the dish drainer are two small additions which would add to practical comfort. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

All round fabtastic stay at Rozel.

I would staycagain next year but it's been priced out of our range. This goliday will definstay in the memory box

Rozel is an excellent property, very well equipped and ideal for walking locally.

It really felt like a home from home and is one of the best cottages that we have rented. Youlgreave is a lovely village, close to the A6 for easy access to the wider area and we would recommend the Bulls Head for a quiet drink or Sunday Lunch!

I can't imagine the thoughts to please the guests that Rozel owner have put into places, ranging from cleanliness, comfort, top notch fixtures and designs.

The outside is lovely during the summer, kids enjoy the water fountain. Also Rozel is centrally located within places of interests such as Chatworth house. Nothing to fault, if you are looking for a place that has it all, it's ROZEL!

A real gem of a property - bright, extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Rozel is in a lovely location and a great base for visiting the surrounding towns and beauty spots.

Shower head and thermostat need attention, we had to prop the shower head up and the water was going from scolding to freezing.

Summer duvets could have been provided. Could have provided some fold up comfy chairs/loungers to sit on when we got back from walking, the chairs provided were very uncomfortable and Wet!

Fantastic holiday home, could not fault the cottage, clean and comfortable.

Will definitely come back. There is so much to do in the area.

A large bright and airy modern bugalow.

It had all the amenities you could wish for. It was very clean and well appointed. The location in Youlgrave village was really good. With 3 shops and 3 pubs in walking distance you can park the car for your stay. There are also several walks directly from the bungalow including short circular ones as well as longer ones for the more active holiday makers/

Property lovely and well equipped.

Arrived in snow and couldn’t get on drive or open front door . Eventually got in but had to borrow a shovel from next door to clear drive . Provision of shovel maybe an idea for future guests

An absolutely outstanding property.

Spacious, beautifully decorated and very well presented and the most well-equipped kitchen we've ever had in a holiday cottage. Definitely a 10 out of 10. Perfectly located for local amenities (read pubs!). Fabulous walking and hiking, both from the house and short car drives away.

The last line in the film Some Like It Hot is “Nobody’s perfect”.

The lovely Rozel Cottage contradicts this however, as it IS perfect. Our second visit and the requested champagne glasses were there. Quality bed linen and towels, and an immaculately clean house which was always lovely and warm in a very cold week, plus up to date furnishings and three modern bathrooms, made our stay once again, very comfortable. Out of the house, down the lane opposite the house to the river and left turn to Lathkill Dale, or right turn to Alport and Bradford Dale, or straight over the medieval bridge and on to Haddon Hall meant we didn’t even have to use our car for four days out of seven. We were loathe to leave. Mrs K.

Very nice fixtures and fittings and spotlessly clean.

Great to have the en suites and a great location in a nice village with good facilities. Only disappointment was the third bedroom with bunk beds was very smalll looks a lot bigger on the pictures but would highly recommend and would stay again.

The property is superb, it is in a fantastic location, tastefully furnished and decorated, and very spacious, it is a real home from home.

The owners have done a fantastic job renovating this property.

Lovely comfy beds, spotless linen and towels too. Lots of sockets throughout the property which was good and a TV in every room including kitchen, fab!! Couldn’t ask for more, although a hot tub in the garden would be nice

We really loved the property.

Great location, high standard of furnishings. It was even more spacious than the pictures showed. Our 19 month grand son was in his element there! He had so much space to run around. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine and nibbles.

They have fitted out the property to a very high standard. All the equipment is of the highest quality. It is ideally located to visit the local area. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful in regards to local attractions. A big thank you to the owners for a great holiday.

Beautifully clean, spacious, well equipped property.

Ideal location for just relaxing, walking and eating out. The village supplies all your immediate needs and somewhat delicious things you don’t really need but must have. We had one of the best weeks ever and the accommodation was just perfect. Just one comment, it is not a criticism, an alternative weight duvet in the attic room in the summer is required.

Lovely property very well equipped.

Only very very small thing, I would recommend is a shower mat for inside the large shower downstairs as it was a bit slippy after showering. Maybe an oldies thing!! Apart from that gorgeous, only wish we could have sat out in the garden, but it was not the right weather.

Excellent property, very modern and clean, spacious and comfortable, more than enough room for 6.

Less than 5 minute walk to a couple of pubs, one which we ate at twice, excellent food. Would definitely recommend and will probably look to come again one day

What a fabulous place to stay.

Lovely and warm in January and immaculately clean with high quality bed linen and towels. The only thing missing was a champagne glass for me! There are numerous great walks right from the house into Littondale and Bradford Dale. We loved the beautiful spacious open plan kitchen and the cosy sitting room and my favourite place to sit was upstairs looking out at a long distance view and, unusual for the U.K., complete darkness once the sun had gone down.

This house is set in a great location within easy proximity to the delightful town of Bakewell.

The views from the property are amazing and the setting is extremely peaceful and relaxing. The property itself is beautifully furnished to a very high standard throughout and the bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in

The holiday property was lovely,spacious and in a beautiful spot.

Everything was there that was needed and covid safe.An extra touch,the welcome basket.The owners couldn't have been more helpful and very approachable and we would recomend it.

The most beautiful property.

We stay in Youlgrave every Christmas and have stayed in lots of different cottages, this one trumps all of them in spades. Large yet cosy, feel of luxury in a home from home. The finest compliment I can pay is that we’ve already booked again to come back. Thank you SO much for everything, loved every minute.

Slight leak to velum over stairs and major leak in conservatory - obvs weather pointed these out.

Outside light over key safe would be useful this time of year and bit disappointed that there was no cafetière in the property! Other than those few things the house was immaculate, very warm, very clean and we had a fantastic chilling week despite the atrocious weather. Beautiful part of the country and we will be back sometime in the future

We were absolutely delighted with our stay in your beautiful home and we appreciated the welcome hamper.

It was extremely comfortable and in the perfect location we feel sure we will return. Our only comment would be all the little notes on doors, cupboards etc as we are able to work out how to open doors and locate items like the fridge etc, all these notes took away the home from home experience i imagine the owners are looking for. This was our only negative comment and we hope not to cause offence.

Excellent property, one of the best we've stayed in.

Very clean and comfortable with everything you need and plenty of space. Located in a great village which has three pubs and two shops. Superb walks around the Bradford and Lathkill dales straight from the property.

Very spacious and light for five of us. Very well placed for days out. Only a couple of small niggles, the dishwasher needs cleaning as the smell of everything that went through it was awful, and lack of tv channels, we like to go out during the day and chill out and watch telly at night, but very limited channels. I would definitely recommend this house to anybody thinking of visiting.

Excellent accomodation - very clean, great location and facilities.

Lots of suitable space for dirty boots, etc and everything was very new. Spare towels and sheets provided for second week which was very appreciated. Third bedroom is very small and accessed via restricted headroom so really only suitable for children but it didn't bother us too much as we had the bonus of a last minute (adult) daughter on our trip. Only downside was that we just could not work out how to turn off the upstairs towel rail - it made the well-insulated bedroom too hot for a summer night!

Beautiful property extremely well equipped .

The bungalow has been refurbished and a great deal of thought has gone into the furnishings and layout. Set in a stunning part of the Peak District it could not have been better.

The house is fantastic.

They had thought of everything you might need. It was lovely and clean, we couldn't have wished for more.

We loved sitting on the sunny patio watching the sheep in the fields behind. The beds were great and it was very quiet. Youlgreave is a really good base for the Peak District with really nice walks , pubs and a shop.

A really lovely light and airy house.

Very clean and warm. Ideally positioned to enjoy the Dales and Bakewell. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean on arrival, which we found easily following the instructions.

The bungalow was well placed on the edge of the village, but a short walk took you to the nearest pub and other village facilities. The bungalow is spacious, beautifully furnished with a very high specification. The beds were comfortable with crisp cotton sheets and the showers were hot and there was always plenty of hot water. The bungalow was very well placed for walkers, with paths in all directions from the door. There is a lovely big porch at the front entrance so boots and coats can be left out of the way. We were lucky with the weather and we were able to enjoy all our lunches on the sunny patio, but the conservatory would have been lovely if the weather had been colder. The owners ensured that we knew how things worked by providing full instructions for appliances and switches and plugs were clearly labelled. The bungalow is tardis like, with very generous sized rooms and would easily accommodate two families of two adults and two children (when we are able to do that again). We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely bungalow and will certainly look forward to visiting again in the future.

Well equipped and very clean. Lovely walks from the door, quiet but only a short walk from the heart of the village. A true home from home, with every convenience you could wish for, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful accommodation decorated to a high standard, was not short of anything, lovely central location, for walks, Alton towers etc would definitely recommend.

When we were looking online at various properties this one stood out from the rest for being bright and clean looking.

As we opened the door on a wet Saturday afternoon we were not disappointed. The house was warm, clean, bright, well furnished and equipped. We have enjoyed walks from the door returning to a nice shower and comfy bed. The village shops kept us supplied with groceries, everyone we saw and spoke to in the village were friendly towards us including the next door neighbour. We will book again without hesitation.
