The owner and cleaner were very helpful.

The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully appointed, with lots of attention to detail. The oven was fantastic. The beds were comfy. Parking was tricky. The stairs were difficult and steep, which may cause problems for anyone with mobility issues. This should ideally be pointed out in the cottage listing details.

Lovely cottage, very cosy and great location.

We enjoyed so many lovely walks with our dogs. The owner was extremely helpful at all times.

Dad, son and dog enjoyed 3 days here visiting family and relatives and enjoying the area.

The cottage is very well presented, very well decorated and very clean. It is very well laid out with separate sitting room and kitchen/diner. Lots of appliances, everything we needed for our stay. It is a very nice area with lots in easy reach. There is plenty in the village and many more things not far away. We met the hosts Chris and Fiona who are polite and conscientious. Overall, a really excellent stay which we intend to repeat.

Fantastic cottage.

Great views & beds you will sleep in for a week! Such a cosy cottage with everything you should need. Not far from the local pub or co op just down the road & only 3 miles from wonderful Castletown. Kitchen had everything you need & the lounge was really comfortable & cosy with lovely log fire. Bedrooms see great size with extra blankets & hot water bottles. Hosts were very welcoming & easy to contact & on hand for anything you should need. Will definitely return!

The pub over the road made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay there again.

What a beautiful little cottage in a peaceful, friendly village.

Loved that we could walk from the cottage without moving the car. Everything we needed was provided and more. The welcome pack was a bonus too. Local pub great atmosphere and fish and chips from local chippy were delicious. Cottage amenities were quality and the beds super comfy. What more do you need. Prime position for exploring the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a lovely week in Bank Cottage.

Communication with Fiona was great as was the property itself. The cottage and village made for a delightful place to stay with great views over Bradwell towards the ridge and beyond to Mam Tor. A great base to explore the many lovely villages and towns within the Peaks as well as the great walking routes. The cottage itself was cosy with great facilities, so you had everything you take for granted at home here. I would highly recommend this cottage to stay in. If we ever return to this part of the Peaks then I would definately return to Bank Cottage.

Everything was perfect.

Beautifully clean and well prepared cottage, one of the best we've stayed in. Lovely quiet village, chucking out time at the pub opposite on a Saturday night and you wouldn't even know it was there. Great base for walking and seeing the Peaks.

Such a beautiful cottage with everything you need .

Quiet with lots of walks, the locals are very friendly. There was a problem with the Internet when we arrived but fiona was on it straight away, communication is very good and nothing was too much trouble . My daughter forgot her t shirt but fiona kindly posted it back so she goes above and beyond. Thanks for a great stay would definitely recommend . Susan ,ruby and Eddie the cockapoo

We had a brilliant stay!

The cottage is amazing and packed with considerate amenities. The beds were amazingly comfy, and location was perfect. We loved the map on the wall, perfect for checking out walks and the fast internet was better than anywhere we've stayed. The hosts were responsive and gave us some excellent recommendations. Amazing cottage 10/10.

A wonderful place to stay, newly refreshed by the owners to a very high standard.

It's a traditional, quirky cottage with original beams, but very comfortable, clean and thoughtfully well-equipped. Communication with the owner was superb, there is a very informative information folder in the kitchen with everything there is to know about the area , including a QR code to get onto the wifi. There was a minor glitch when we arrived, which the super friendly owner responded to, and sorted out, straight away. We easily managed to find a parking space each time we needed to. We particularly liked the wallpaper in the kitchen which was a map of the area round Bradwell which helped us plan our walks and days out. Thoroughly recommended!
