The property

A delightful, stone-built, end-terrace cottage situated in a quiet backwater of the pretty village of Bradwell, 11 miles from Buxton.

The cottage is full of character and charm and retains many original features such as old oak beams and a warm and snug open fire, making this an ideal romantic retreat.

Renovated to a high standard, this well-equipped holiday home boasts high quality fittings and lovely furnishings, including a spacious main bedroom with feature fireplace.

The property offers lovely views across the village and surrounding fells, as well as excellent walking from the doorstep.

The many delights of the Peak District National Park are close by, including the beautiful valley of Edale, which is the start of the Pennine Way, England's first and most famous long-distance footpath, and the famous spa town of Buxton.

This is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year.

Castleton 3 miles; Tideswell 4 miles; Buxton 11 miles; Bakewell 12 miles.

Bradwell is a pretty village in the Hope Valley, in a prime position in the Peak District National Park. Tideswell, with its renowned Tideswell church, known as the ‘Cathedral of the Peak’ is just four miles from Bradwell. The picturesque village of Castleton is three miles away, home to fascinating caves, including the Blue John Cavern, and is overlooked by the crumbling Mam Tor or 'Shivering Mountain'. The dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, famous as the start of the Pennine Way, is nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open-air, heated swimming pool. Slightly further afield you can potter around the historic market town of Bakewell, or the Spa town of Buxton, renowned for its spring water, opera house and arts, jazz and opera festivals. It is easy to spend a whole day at Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, whilst there are many historic properties nearby. Pull on your boots and enjoy the spectacular scenery, or explore a web of cycling trails, with bike hire available on the Monsal Trail, the Tissington Trail and at the Derwent Reservoir. Bradwell has shops, pubs and places to eat and makes an excellent base for enjoying this beautiful area.
