  • "We stayed at Woodstock Lodge for two weeks from the end of June, and were most impressed."

    The property was clean, well-equipped and comfortable, and Rachel could not have been more helpful, nor made us more welcome. We used to live in the area, and chose this property as we wished to visit friends and family, but with our own living space, owing to my husband’s care needs. Having stayed in rented holiday properties before, I took with me a box containing essentials (to me!) that I had found wanting on previous holidays. The box was virtually untouched, as clearly a lot of thought had gone into equipping the property for rental. Despite the hot weather, the lodge never got too hot, as it was shaded by trees. Our dog was very happy as well, as immediately on exiting the farm gate, we had direct access to the many tracks and trails across beautiful Cannock Chase, with plenty of them shaded by trees. Despite being close to a residential area, it was very quiet and peaceful in the lodge. We enjoyed seeing horses passing by occasionally, and were also somewhat surprised at frequent visits by peacocks. The first morning, when I left the lodge to take my dog for an early morning walk, there were four peacocks just the other side of the gate, and when we returned from our walk, two were perching on the roof! I would not hesitate to recommend Woodstock Lodge to anyone who wants a peaceful and relaxing stay, ideally situated for exploring the Cannock Chase area.

  • "Accommodation was perfect for our needs which were to access the heathland, woodland & forests of the Cannock Chase area."

    The property is part of a large equestrian & livery facility so we were aware of the coming & goings of riders. Property back yard very enclosed with no view.

  • "Lovely warm welcome."

    Perfect location with parking. Easy to get to other places by car or train. Cannock Chase is beautiful. Woodstock Lodge was totally relaxing and very well equipped. Also it was so nice to see and hear horses, dogs, peacock, pea hens, sheep. Absolutely delightful to be in a setting where you can just walk out onto woodland trails and open spaces. The lodge has a secure area which is essential if you have a dog. We do and she had the most wonderful time as did we. Would happily stay again.

  • "Ideal place to explore the Chase from, literally straight out of the door and Brindley Heath is spread out before you."

    Despite it being close to a town it is quiet with no traffic noise, so very restful. Lodge has everything you will need for day to day living. The only slight drawback is fridge is quite small with small ice box, as I do all my own catering whilst away this was slightly problematic when I first arrived, but it’s only a small quibble and obviously the fridge size is predicated on the available space. All in all the Lodge is worth its 5* reviews.

  • "The lodge was clean, cosy,comfortable and well equipped."

    Great location with walks straight from the door. Added "extras " for both us and the dog were appreciated. Friendly owner who made us feel welcome. Would not hesitate to return.

  • "This cottage is located right on the edge of Cannock chase with it's many walks."

  • "Perfect size for one or two, maybe a baby as well, and located on the doorstep of Cannock Chase."

    I have spent a wonderful month here. It's very quiet, and it's just so easy to get out for a run or a hike whenever I want to. I've had some very memorable adventures exploring the Chase. In terms of facilities, it has everything I have needed, and it's all pretty much new. It's not large, but big enough. Rachael has been really lovely and hospitable. It is located on stables, so if you're a horsey sort of person (I'm not particularly) I wonder if something could be arranged. There are certainly loads of folks taking their mounts for a hack around the area.

  • "Fantastic little lodge perfect for single, couple or couple with a young child (cot age)."

    The lodge was cosy, well equipped, clean and very welcoming, it was on a secure site with close access to town, the Cannock chase, and other smaller shops! We had a very friendly welcome from the owner with a little welcome basket that even had some snacks for my little one, and some milk in the fridge for that first hot drink! It's a small gesture but it made the world of difference! Loved the fact that the cot provided was a proper cot not just a travel cot and the owner was always happy to be contacted if we needed anything! The property itself was well maintained, plenty of space and plenty of things for organising meals, the walk in shower was perfect and the bathroom could be nice warm with the little heater. Huge thank you for a very friendly welcome and a lovely little holiday lodge!

  • "Had a friendly welcome from Rachael ."

    The property was spotless and everything you needed for your stay . The only fault I would say was the sofa wasn’t very comfortable and very low . It was lovely having the chase literally on the doorstep. My dog absolutely love it . I would definitely go back again as there is so much to see and do in the area . 5*
