The only thing is it could do with a booster on the TV, as we could only get so many channels.

Could do with some grab rails on the outside of door as it's a big step in & some grab rails in the shower area, as it was abit hard for me to get my leg over the bath & there wasn't anything to get hold of. Also the seating in the front room is too low, I struggled to get off the settee & the rocking chair. Other than that the place was clean & comfortable, would recommend it anytime.

The bungalow was very clean,comfortable & provided everything we needed for our holiday.

It was well placed for visiting the surrounding area,for lovely walks & exploring Buxton. The carton of milk & tea were very much appreciated.Thank you!

This was our second visit, and again it was very pleasant.

The bungalow is very convenient for the town centre and Buxton top end. A 10 minute walk uphill. The kitchen has everything you need to do an easy meal. The frying pan was maybe a bit small, if cooking for 4. The bedrooms are comfortable and very quiet. Lots of wardrobe space. There is a nice parking space. The road is quiet even though there was some football on most evenings. There is a smart tv that has freeview and Netflix , but it did not have bbc iplayer or ITVX which was a shame.

House clean and comfortable, parking for cars and had everything we needed. Property a short walk from all the shops and restaurants in the centre of Buxton and was the perfect base for us to explore the stunning Peak District. The owners Chris and Janet very responsive and helpful. Would certainly consider booking again for a stay in the area.

A nice little bungalow in a very good location for all Buxton has to offer, and an ideal base for exploring the Peak District.

All necessary amenities are to hand. The stay was spoiled only by constant playing of a radio from the adjoining property.

Smart, clean and modern bungalow in a quiet location, 10 minutes' stroll from Buxton town centre and the opera house.

Comfortable bed in the main bedroom (2 single beds in 2nd room not used). Loads of wardrobe and drawer space. Modern kitchen, though we didn't cook anything! Good size bathroom, good shower over the bath and plenty of hot water. Parking space right outside the bungalow. The weather was very hot while we were there but the bungalow stayed cool inside. We were happy with our stay and would stay then again in future.

Had everything needed for family of 4.

Comfy mattresses. Location was great as can walk into Buxton with ease. Could leave Buxton easily for day trips.

An enjoyable week’s stay in this lovely part of the Peak District, with the cottage ideally located for travelling around by car, bus or train.

It was well appointed and immaculately clean, and although in a busy cul-de-sac with traffic most days using it for the football stadium opposite, it was just minutes from Buxton town centre by foot (but very steep on the return journey!) We have docked a star due a few things letting the property down; the thin curtains let in far too much light into the bedrooms in the early hours (and the lounge lightbulbs are very bright!), the kettle is damaged/burned inside and needs replacing, but the main issue was the adjoining neighbour had the TV/radio on at a loud volume from 6.30am onwards every day which could be heard in both the lounge and main bedroom, spoiling our mornings and evenings when we like to read and relax. Not the fault of the property owner, but something to be aware of if you want peace and quiet.

This is the second time we have been to the property and we would highly recommend it. Situated in a nice position,handy for the town (walking is a little steep, but easily manageable) Brilliant.

This is our third year at Silverlands and we enjoyed it just as much as previous years.

The bungalow has everything we need and is warm and cosy & we appreciate the welcome pack. The area is well kept and the neighbours are very nice as is the owner who we met on our way home this time. There are lots of things to see in Buxton and the surrounding area is stunning in the rain or shine. We will hopefully be back next year.

The bungalow was comfortable. It had everything we needed for the week. It was clean and cosy. The kitchen was well stocked but not too much crockery & pans. There was even space for our food. It was nice and quiet with easy parking. There was only a 10 minute walk to upper Buxton or town centre, although up hill on return. It was a great location. We would stay again when we visit the area.

What a lovely stay we all had at 14 silverlands close buxton the bungalow was faultless everything was as described we had an issue with bath but Chris the owner came out straight away and fixed the issue the neighbours were lovely we will definitely be returning in the future

I recently stayed at a delightful and clean cottage in 14 Silverlands Close Buxton, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience.

The cottage was conveniently located near the market and the Buxton shopping center, making it easy to explore the area. Being next to the football stadium added a unique charm, and the surroundings were surprisingly quiet and peaceful. I really enjoyed the friendly neighborhood, and the local couples were welcoming and warm. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Buxton.

It was very light & airy, very comfortable & very clean. Had everything we needed. Plenty of space & a lovely patio garden out the back, including a handy bike shed store. Ample parking out the front too. A perfect location in Buxton, within walking distance of the town & local shops. Perfect base & central to a lot of places to visit in the Peak District. We had a really great holiday here & would definitely return.

A lovely, comfortable and well maintained bungalow in a quiet location.

The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and milk was very much appreciated, I would like to suggest though that more than one tea towel is provided in the kitchen together with cleaning cloths for the bathroom. Within a short walking distance there are shops, places to eat and drink (we would recommend The Old Sun Inn), historic buildings and the Pavilion Gardens. We had such a lovely time here and will definitely return.

We spent another good week - 4th time in Silverlands.

This visit we felt that the property seems a bit neglected compared to others that we stay in. We suggest that the towels in particular need replacing. Some hand wash in the bathroom for arrival, more cleaning products ( only a teaspoon of bleach left in the bathroom), ? some tin foil, or cling film. There were no spare bin bags and the mat in the hall outside the kitchen was a trip hazard. The welcome letter also needs renewing and the red chair cover in the lounge needs attention. Small changes that would make the customer feel more welcome and that the owner cares. We look forward to returning.

The only (minor) issue we experienced was a lack of drawer space in the twin room, which was definitely required by the two adults staying in there; I'm sure that this could be easily addressed. A comfortable, warm and cosy place which was most welcome during our stay as the majority of the week we experienced minus temperatures. Some other reviews, that we read beforehand, stated that the heating was difficult to set-up; we had no such issues (followed the instructions on the hallway thermostat). Location is good in a quiet cul-de-sac with nice neighbours. However, it is located in an elevated position in relation to the town high street. The fairly steep bank of Holker Road may prove difficult for those less able-bodied. However, taxis are readily available. A 10 minute, or so, walk along the main road (no banking/climbs) will take you to the market square where there are plentiful places to eat and drink. We took Sunday Lunch in the Cheshire Cheese, a definite 5 out of 10, but we think the Old Sun Inn may have been a better choice. My wife and I have visited and stayed in the Peak District for over twenty years and this property ranks very highly. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely book Silverlands again. Very highly recommended. Thanks to the owners for a lovely property.

This is the second time we've been to Silverlands and it was just as good.

Spotlessly clean and there was everything that we needed including tea, coffee etc which was a nice little touch. I can recommend this holiday home. Only 10 minutes walk to the town centre with lots to do and see but it is down a very steep road, so not good for everyone, although we're around our eighties and can still manage it.

Well situated for Buxton In a nice quite area all in all a pleasant place to stay

The only problem was the shower very small and nothing to hold on to when getting in . Could do with just a shower no bath . Lovely and clean.

A very pleasant neat and tidy cottage in an ideal setting close to all Buxton has to offer and well located for exploring the beautiful Peak District.

The bedrooms would benefit from thicker curtains to better obscure the early morning light.

We had to wash up by hand, as there was no dishwasher - not really a problem.

However, the equipment for washing up was insufficient - only one dishcloth and one very worn foam pad with a rough side for scrubbing, no teatowel for drying crockery etc. The house was not warm enough, and altering the required temperature in the heating controls as suggested only brought a short-term improvement.

We found the property to be spotlessly clean, very comfortable and conveniently situated which very much suited the places of interest we wished to revisit.

Good central location for touring the area. An easy walk into town but we needed a taxi back as it was uphill. Buxton park well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend.

March and December 2022 both times its been perfect. Can not fault anything. And I'm sure I will be booking it again in 2023.

Well appointed and well situated property close to town centre, very clean and comfortable.

Messing-around with heating thermostat throughout the stay was tedious and we expected washing-up liquid and washing machine tablets to be provided, but, nevertheless, an ideal base for exploring Buxton and its environs.

Really enjoyed our stay there, bungalow was great but the back garden let it down a bit.

Everything we could possibly need was supplied in the bungalow and there was plenty of storage. Good position, only 10 minutes walk to town centre, could be a problem for some people as the road down was very steep.

The bungalow was perfect for a break in Buxton.

The house was incredibly clean and the kitchen fairly well equipped. It was great to have a smart TV, modern oven and fridge freezer. The twin room could do with a mirror and some drawer space, and the kitchen could do with a sieve. Our group are invalided and the house had parking which made things easier and we were able to drive to Buxton which although it is close is downhill. There was a bit of smell which we couldn't identify.

What an absolute gem of a property!

Spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable and in a superb location for walking into town. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Buxton and would not hesitate to stay at this property again in future. A very minor note to the owners: the main bedroom could do with a blind or blackout curtains as it starts getting light in the bedroom around 4.00am.

Excellent location for the town, and good base for walking.

Accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. The patio area is a suntrap and nice to sit out after a day's walking, but a few potted plants would have brightened it up a bit.

The bungalow is as described and met our expectations.

It was very cold weather and initially we felt a bit chilled until we realised we needed to increase the temperature on the control unit in the hall. On a few occasions during the day when the central heating was timed to be off, we made use of the electric fire which was effective. The kitchen is modern, smart and well equipped and it was good to have a large fridge and plenty of cupboard space. The lounge is spacious and comfortable. The bedroom too is large and has a massive amount of drawer and wardrobe space. We found the bed comfortable. A TV in the bedroom would be a nice addition. The WiFi worked well most of the time. The only minor criticism is that we didn’t find any information on recycling and ended up taking it all home. The location of the bungalow is very practical, it being only a 7 minute walk to the main shopping street. Aldi, Morrisons and Waitrose are all within easy walking distance, as is the railway station. We had a nice Sunday lunch at the Old Sun Inn and an excellent dinner at the St Moritz Italian restaurant, where the service was very efficient and pleasant. We had an interesting day visiting Ashbourne, Matlock, Chesterfield and Bakewell by service bus, using the exceptionally good value Derbyshire Wayfarer ticket (senior @ £6.70, available from the Tourist Office). We had only 1 fine day but made good use of it by walking 11 miles on the scenic Monsal Trail. So despite awful weather we did enjoy our week and would certainly recommend the accommodation.

A lovely property, exactly as described, well laid out and with a well stocked kitchen.

It is conveniently situated for easy access to the town centre and its parks, pubs, supermarkets and surrounding hills, though the walk back up the hill afterwards can be tiring. It also benefits from pretty fast internet access, which allowed us to take our "Fire Stick" with us and widened our evening entertainment options. Buxton is ideally located for access to the Monsal, High Peak, Tissington and Manifold Trails. The bike store at the property proved very useful, especially as during our stay it rained most days, and we were able to start our day's adventure with dry bikes.

Comfortable cottage with good facilities and close to town and walks.

Small plumbing issue was dealt with very quickly. We’ll be back next year!

House lacked a clothes airer, a mat in the bath and a dvd player

Owner left us a bottle of wine and a chocolate orange which was a nice touch.

Would recommend they left a clothes airer and a Hoover for guests. The place was a bit musty as think it hadn’t been used in a while and the Reed diffuser had dried up. Just small details that didn’t detract from our stay but would up level the experience.

We were really pleased with the holiday cottage and would definitely recommend it to others.

It was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities you could ask for. It was a great location for Buxton, being a 5 minute walk into town. Only slight problem was my daughter complained that the single bed was very hard but it was fine for just a week. Would definitely go there again.

We found the bungalow to be really cosy and spacious.

due to Covid19 we had to take quite a few of our own things which we were willing to do so. being the first party back within Covid19 we felt safe. The property was lovely and comfortable and clean, and would book to go again. It was central to the areas we wanted to visit.

14 Silverlands Close is a lovely property, well maintained and clean.

The 3 of us instantly felt at home. This was my second visit to the property and I don't think it will be my last.

The good think that’s cleanliness It’s really clean and nice cottage,lovely location Now I will tell about bad things: When we arrived washing machine wasn’t working and we haven’t got any notice about it The bedding was synthetic and uncomfortable duvet to.

Mattress was really good and comfortable The property need hoover. All everything was fine

The property was very clean, bright, warm and surprisingly spacious. We had everything we needed and the owners were very hospitable. There are good bus services within easy walking distance and we made trips to Sheffield, Stockport, Macclesfield and Bakewell passing through the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.
