  • "We all enjoyed our stay."

Lots of room, comfortable and cosy, everything we needed was there. Lovely to see the squirrels and rabbits at close quarters. Good base for visiting local attractions and shopping. Would definitely go again

  • "The Lodge was in a beautiful setting."

The walks with our dog were really enjoyable lots of different walks in the woods. The shop and cafe on site also very good. The bathroom was dated it smelt of mold and the fittings were rusting. The green fire route lights in the bedrooms were totally over the top. We tried to cover them so we could get some sleep. That all Saif we enjoyed our stay.

  • "We had a lovely holiday here."

The lodge was clean, tidy and practical and had everything we needed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Being able to hire a tramper made the holiday something special, as we were able to go out into the woods as a family. We did mention to staff at the time that it would be better if the disabled toilet had a nice big handle to flush it, as the current one was a bit flimsy. Hope to return next year.

  • "The location was amazing."

I love being in the depth of the forest. Staff were very friendly and really appreciate the free bike hire for the day. The lodge itself is a bit dated and we did have issues with the dish washer and hot water running out. Having some firmer pillows would also help.
