  • "Lovely, well appointed cottage with fantastic views."

Only issue for us was having bathroom downstairs, so having to use the staircase during the night.

  • "An extremely comfortable and well equipped house."

The owners were very helpful and easily contactable. They put in some very welcoming finishing touches (e.g. slippers and bathrobes). A big plus was the comfortable bed and pillows (often a letdown in holiday rentals). We can thoroughly recommend this property.

  • "We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Walton House Cottage."

It has been so relaxing, its a beautiful location with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Christina and Austin are fantastic hosts who have taken great care to ensure this cottage is well furnished, modern and includes more amenities than you expect. The hot tub looks out to a stunning view and we really enjoyed keeping an eye on the Alpacas and Donkeys! You can walk in to Chapel en le Frith, where we enjoyed meals at Rems & Vecchia. This cottage is an ideal base to explore the Peak district! We plan to return Thank you

  • "During the past couple of years, due to travel restrictions, we have had many breaks in the UK."

During this time we have stayed in many different establishments, all of them really good and most of them different. We have to say that this visit for lots of reasons outshines them all. The cottage was magnificent throughout, not a single fault. However the help and hospitality of Christina and Austin was outstanding. They should be proud of what they have done. We are definitely returning. Absolutely superb in every way.

  • "Our stay at Walton Cottage was magical."

We had just got married and it was our English Honeymoon, it certainly did not disappoint. We were greeted by a warm, beautifully decorated property; plus a chilled bottle of Champagne which was a lovely touch. The cottage was cosy and had all of the required amenities for a perfect week (lots of soft towels, all necessary kitchen implements, great Wifi, robes and slippers etc). The well-stocked basket in the kitchen with Tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate and other bits was a lovely thought also. The animals (Betty, Ted, Chris and Snuggles) made the holiday so special as it was an added bonus to see them each day, my wife had many chats with them. The view is gorgeous, especially from the hot tub and upstairs living room with the large welcoming window. Christina and Austin, offer the most stunning accommodation for you to have a relaxing break away and they maintain friendly and polite communication, which we really appreciated. I’d highly recommend the property and local area for anyone wanting a luxury break with lovely scenic walks. You certainly won’t be disappointed if you stay here, we can’t wait to rebook and return already. Thank you so much for a memorable honeymoon!

The roll top bath was very much appreciated after lots of beautiful walks. The views are outstanding, even on the rainy days! The owners Christina and Austin were super helpful and friendly - and the extra touches including the chilled bottle of Prosecco was very much appreciated! We enjoyed many moments chatting to Snuggles the donkey, Chris and Ted the alpacas and Betty the highland cow. Would love to return here one day! If you are due to stay here you are on for a treat!
