  • "We loved Riverside Cottage, it was a wonderful place to stay."

The cottage was spotless, extremely well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. It was also lovely and warm which we appreciated as the weather was a bit chilly when we were staying there. It had a great choice of outdoor seating areas and was so convenient for the shops and the nearby pub. It was also an easy walk into the town centre. (Just a very small issue we had was that the seat right by the river had obviously been recently stained and was not completely dry so we realised after having sat on it and got stains on our clothes, they came out in the wash though. Also we thought one tea towel was a bit inadequate and there was no hand towel in the kitchen). However we would still give this fabulous cottage a definite 10 out of 10 and thank you to John for the bottle of Prosecco, much appreciated.

I apologise for the stain you received from the seat by the river. Unfortunately just after I had finished staining the seat the river level came up over the seat & must’ve damaged the stain. There is a cushion in the lower deck storage box & I will warn customers in future to use it until I get it rectified. Thanks for your feedback. John Property Owner

  • "We loved this cottage overlooking the river."

There was everything you needed to have a comfortable stay. The owner also provided a few extras like umbrellas and a shopping trolley should you need it. The cottage was spotlessly clean. There’s no parking but that wasn’t a problem, we managed to park in a nearby street for free within a 5 minute walk. There’s lots of little shops and a Spar within a 5 minute walk. Our favourite shop was the Gelatery which was just over the pedestrian bridge! It was easy to walk into Shrewsbury which is a beautiful city. There is a little road noice but after a while we didn’t notice it. At night we used the back bedroom with it being the larger. To stop any road noises we closed the bathroom door and the bedroom door so we then didn’t hear anything. Would we stay again at this cottage if we ever found ourselves in Shrewsbury again, absolutely yes we would.

  • "Excellent both in the quality of the renovation of the house and in the provision of everything you might need."

The house is located in a vibrant but clearly very safe "village" within the city

Thank you for your positive feedback. I am delighted my renovation project has been so well received Property Owner

  • "Beautiful place right on the river."

Gawjus views even from the bed. The house is cosy and has everything you need. I have a spinal injury so we didn't get to explore the area much but the house was lovely. The bed was so comfortable and we managed to get lots of good rest. The owner messaged to say we had left some things behind and even offered to post them. The only issue would be having no parking outside the house but there are car parks close.
