  • "We have just returned from our stay at Shepard's Hut, what a wonderful stay it was!"

We loved our get away from start to finish. The hut was beautiful and the garden was lovely, with the added extra of the hot tub of course. The only bit of feedback, is the outside freezer should be a full size fridge freezer, as the fridge inside is not big enough to put drinks and food and we had lovely weather so was having to keep our drinks in the freezer.

  • "Our stay was fantastic!"

It is in the most beautiful location and mostly hidden from the farmhouse. The hut has everything you need, and views are just great. Highly recommend this little gem.

  • "We had a lovely quiet break here, all you could here was birdsong, & bee’s flying by, sitting in the hot tub looking at the scenery of Staffordshire’s rolling hills was beautiful just to take in whilst chilling in the tub…."

Heaven to me , the chickens in the field opposite kept us & our dog entertained , the cockerels doing their morning call didn’t really bother us, whilst we were there it was hot weather ( that’s a good thing) , but inside was stiflingly hot though the thermometer did read 38 at one point, all I can suggest more fans maybe and as I wrote down in your visitors book, a larger or all in one fridge freezer as the ones that are there not big enough to hold much food or drink , bar that we had a lovely time, I would come back again & recommend to others.

  • "We loved our stay!"

The hut was lovely and in a great location. I assumed that the field on the picture was also accessible in our stay and it wasn’t which was disappointing as would have been great for our dog so my only feedback would be to make this clear. Would recommend :)

  • "Our stay at the Shepherds Hut was everything and more than we expected."

Couldn’t recommend this enough if you are looking for a relaxing few days away. Waking up in the morning felt like a breath of fresh air and was always a delight to be greeted by the next door feathered friends. The view was incredible, walks were beautiful and the overall stay was fantastic. Looking forward to booking our next trip back here already.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at the shepards hut with our dog and baby."

The small space was very practical and well designed and thought out. My little boy loved watching the chickens out of the huge windows in the morning. The bed was slightly uncomfortable in comparison to our bed at home but we did sleep OK. The only thing was it was very very cold during the night and first thing in the morning, but apart from this everything else was spot on. The hot tub was a fantastic way to relax and end the day and the complimentary prosecco was a brilliant touch. Everything was so clean and it felt very homely. The location is prime if you want to go out and explore nothing is too far away. Brilliant stay. Will definitely recommend and will be back for sure!!

The support the owners gave was flawless and we are so grateful. The local pub Ye Old Cows food and friendly services was also perfect. Thank you all we will definitely be back

  • "We were greeted by Elliott on arrival, he showed us how to use the hot tub and said if we need anything at all to txt him."

....and that was it, didn't see anyone again.....so simple, the keys were in the door and inside there was a bottle of prosecco with two glasses and some milk. It's just what we needed, peace and quiet what a great three nights we had.

  • "Really enjoyed it, very nice, clean place to stay for a weekend break."

I would say to the owners to mention about the chickens as the Cockerell does spoil a lie in and we were going to fetch the dog but left him behind last minute, luckily or he'd av had a field day.
