Curlew

Curlew cottage was even nicer than the pics on the website.

The scenery surrounding the farm is truly stunning. The cottage was very clean and I honestly couldn't fault it. Oh and we loved the peacocks, our dog was mesmerised by them

Very nice property a nice conversion glad they moved the cattle out ?

Their accommodation was very nice and comfy. It had all that we required a nice place to have walks from.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful little cottage.

The property is very well equipped and kitted out to a very high standard with everything you could need to self cater. The location is brilliant and its very close to Buxton and Bakewell. We also had trips to Matlock and Dovedale. The cottage is set on a farm so there are plenty of animals to see along with a noisy peacock (it didn’t bother us and we found it quite funny but it might bother some people as it is very loud) If you are taking a dog there is a shared enclosed terrace space which had amazing views but be aware that for toileting etc you need to take your dog out on a lead you can’t just open the door and let them out. We would highly recommend this cottage, thank you to the owners for a lovely stay!

Great stay, beautiful cottage in a great location.

Really lovely stay at Curlew cottage.

Very clean, comfy and well equipped for everything you could need. Beautiful location, 20min walk into Longnor village. Great walks to explore. Will be back

Perfect for away from hussle and bussle of daily life.

Perfect peace views amazing. Cottage cozy to return to after dsy walking and exploring. Leaving recharged.

A beautiful little space, converted from a lovely old barn.

We were staying for just two nights, in order to attend a family event in a nearby village. We absolutely loved the peace and quiet of the farm setting, with its amazing views across the Dove valley to Crowdecote. Although it was late November, with obvious potential for cold and darkness, the property owners have thoughtfully installed excellent exterior lighting and hard surfaces to ensure mud-free footpaths even when the surrounding fields were very muddy! The information provided was very clear and made our short stay feel easy and effortless. Everything was well organised for us from beginning to end. The decor, lighting and soft furnishings were attractive and high quality, providing a touch of luxury during our few moments of quiet ‘downtime’ in a busy weekend. Thank you.

We had a glorious stay here!

The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for the duration of our trip. It’s the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Peak District, with lovely pubs and walks nearby. We’re already looking at returning. A small note, we brought our own pillows after reading that the ones provided were quite flat, and we’d probably do that again as we prefer bigger pillows. We did have neighbours upstairs who were a little heavy-footed, which woke us a few times, but otherwise everything was perfect. 10/10 stay, lovely host, and we highly recommend a visit to their pub!

Very friendly hosts, beautiful scenery with plenty of walking and within easy reach if town

We stayed in this cottage for two nights with our dog Bruce it so spotless and they literally thought of everything even little touches with biscuits and milk for when you arrived and to the dog with a little basket with a blanket and a comb for the dog.

we will definitely going back but for a longer stay.

A very nice cottage, fully equipped in both the kitchen and bedding and towels.

Plenty of parking spaces, all the cottage’s are awaiting full fibre connection in October, spoke with Justin the owner because was not able to watch television because it kept crashing and buffering this is when he explained about full fibre connection, would recommend this cottage as it sits in a beautiful part of the country

Curlew is a lovely place to stay,in a great setting, spotless accommodation, will definitely be booking again.

The finish, furniture and fittings are top class.

Everything is very attractive and comfortable. The only draw back is this particular cottage of 4 or 5, has no view at all from inside. There is however a lovely large patio around the back of the building where ample seating is provided to enjoy the view.

Thank u for a lovely relaxing stay.

It was our first wedding anniversary and would love to return for our second ❤️

Just right location ideal for local travel to Buxton, Bakewell and surrounding areas all people were very friendly.

The only down side was the wi fi that kept dropping and hardly any phone signal .

This is a lovely cottage for two in a beautiful area of England.

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Lots of local information and a welcome pint of milk and biscuits was an added bonus on arrival. We would have preferred our own bit of garden, but you can't have everything and this didn't spoil our holiday. Lovely views across the valley from the communal terrace.

Lovely place to stay for a short break and great they let you bring your dog.

Fantastic.

We loved everything about the accommodation and surroundings. Meet by three peacocks on arrival which was wonderful experience. Could not fault it. Great value for money. Loads of parking space. Well placed location for access to villages and town.

We loved our stay, I wish we’d booked longer!

We will definitely be coming back. Perfect location, beautiful setting, quiet, cosy, just what we wanted. Our dog loved meeting the resident peacocks too, he was fascinated. We were very sad to leave but will most definitely be coming back in the future, we come to the area every year with our dog and this is definitely our new place to stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful break away

Lovely little cottage for 2.

We spent 5 nights there with our little dog. We had a lovely and restful time away from the hussle and bustle. The nearest dog friendly pub is only walking distance from the cottage. We treated ourselves to some fish and chips one night from the village fish and chip shop but it was quite disappointing as the fish was quite greasy. The only comment I would make about the cottage is that it didn't have a decent kitchen cloth and scourer if you wanted to hand-wash the dishes as we did. When we arrived there was a leak in the bathroom but it got dealt with very quickly. We would recommend this holiday cottage.

Great property, location and facilities - had everything you need.

Didn’t get a great nights sleep since the person above decided to flush the toilet every few hours - one thing to consider!

Lovely cosy cottage in the perfect spot for a few days.

Lots of amazing walks close by (less than 20 min drive). We did Luds Church/Roaches, Thor’s Cave and Chee Dale Gorge. Such an easy place to find and with a pub/chippy/cafe a walk away it was the perfect spot for us. The outdoor seating was gorgeous in the sunshine, only sound being birds. Facilities were really good, chopping knives completely blunt but can’t complain otherwise about the stocked up kitchen. Biscuits were devoured on arrival! Bedroom was lovely, but again only one tiny issue being the pillows were so thin and flat. Would definitely return.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, Really clean and in a great location.

Had everything we needed but a hairdryer which it stated it had! Look forward to returning in future!

Booked for a 3 night stay but with the snow storm approaching we only stayed 2 because we were back at work on the 6th of January we didn't go down the refund route as it was our decision to go as we didn't want to get caught out although snowed in in such a beautiful setting would have been great will definitely be back.

Wonderful 10 night stay in this cosy little cottage.

Kitchen was really well stocked with every pot and utensil you could possibly need plus thoughtful touches of milk and cookies on arrival, with tea ,coffee salt and pepper etc. I can't really comment on nearby walks etc as I was at Curlew for 10 nights convalescing from recent surgery and so was there to catch up on work and so couldn't really get out and about. The time just flew by and got lots done!

Curlew is conveniently located roughly 20mins from Leek, Buxton and Bakewell and is well equipped to meet all your needs.

The accommodation and it's setting is lovely and I would fully recommend.

Curlew is in a fantastic rural setting.

The owner Justin and his family were quick to respond to our queries regarding the snow conditions and Whatthreewords location. They all worked very hard to clear the drive of snow for our arrival and departure- many thanks

Lovely property with all of the amenities needed.

Location is superb for the Peak District and the views were amazing.

Lovely well equipped cottage.

Everything your need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful quiet location.

Cottage and surroundings were beautiful and had everything we needed.

We arrived in the dark and it was a bit hard to find. The Google maps link doesn't quite go to the right place, and it wasn't clear from the directions the cottages were at the farm.

We had a lovely time at the cottage.

The cottage sits in a well maintained site, on the side of a steep valley, with great views across to the other side. It was clean, modern and perfect for our needs. The kitchen seemed well equipped but we didn't end up eating in the cottage as there was plenty of other options nearby - we had hoped to get an evening meal at Ye Olde Cheshire Inn but they were always full, so we had fish and chips one night and had two meals at the Pack Horse in Crowdecote, which were all delicious. We found an interesting walk in the cottage which we did from the cottage - this took us out to the Pilsbury castle and then onto Crowdecote, Longnor and back around the Manifold river valley back up to the cottage. In an area like this mobile signals can be limited, but we were able to get mobile signal by holding phone outside the property (and it was even better further up the hill); but couldn't seem to get the wifi to work - which would have been helpful for planning our days out, weather updates etc. It wasn't until the departure day that I noticed in the guest book that others had asked Justin for help with this, so any issues were likely to be resolved if I had asked. Justin was very helpful with another more personable issue which was unrelated to the cottage.

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage, all the amenities were in good working order.

We would like to thank the owner of the property for his help with dealing with the storm. Paddy and Ann

My husband and I, along with our labrador, had a lovely six night stay at Curlew.

The location is perfect, with walks from your doorstep or short drives to popular locations. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, with 360° countryside views, but are still close enough to everything you need. The kitchen was well equipped and the open plan living area is the perfect size for two people, with a nice comfy sofa. The outside garden area, which wraps around three sides of the cottage and is shared with others, is enclosed and great for sitting outside in the sun whilst knowing your dog can’t go far. The host was also most helpful by providing us with a What3Words location for the cottage, which made finding it a breeze. The only negative is the bed, which is very hard. Both myself and my husband woke up multiple mornings with back and hip pain (we’re only in our early thirties) and found the bed very uncomfortable. It could really do with a foam topper, to just make it a little softer. However, this wouldn’t stop us from recommending Curlew to others, as the positives definitely outweigh the negative!

Had a fantastic week at Curlew.

Well equiped kitchen. Lovely seating and dining area. Bedroom great with a really comfortable bed. Adequate storage for clothes. Good size bathroom with shower over bath. All in all a fantastic base to explore the area. Just one thing, we couldn't open the kitchen window above the sink as it was so high up. Could do with a pole for opening it. Wouldn't put us off from visiting in the future.

Great few days in Curlew Cottage, stunning views and cosy little place for a couple or single person.

Set on a working farm with a few similar rental properties, very well equipped, close to Longnor village and ideal for touring by car or bike. We visited Buxton, Chatsworth and Bakewell and Ashbourne. Visit to the Bookstore Cafe and Tagg Lane Dairy for delicious ice-creams a must!

We were very satisfied with Curlew cottage, everything we needed was there, comfortable, clean and tidy also very quiet and peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay at Curlew for our wedding anniversary.

We have previously stayed at Kestrel cottage which we have to say is our favourite, the views from both the kitchen and bedroom window’s are so tranquil. Saying that Curlew is a beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and very well equipped and we would not hesitate to book again.

Another lovely break at Curlew.

Look forward to our next stay.

What a lovely place.

So peaceful with beautiful views. Area is lovely. The cottage was gorgeous and beautifully furnished. Will definately be back.

What a wonderful place to stay, beautiful surroundings, so peaceful & quiet (apart from the peacock when he made his appearance ☺️) cosy little cottage with everything you need for your stay.

Would definitely recommend and will return again for future stays.

Beautiful

Lovely place to stay.

Beautiful cottage with everything you needed. Beautiful view. Very clean and well, presented. Would diffently stay there again. Not far from places.

The drive to the property is a bit steep but the location is superb.

The peacocks are a delightful addition since our last stay here. This year the weather was not encouraging but we had a wonderful stay. The property is well equipped and more than adequate for two people.

Lovely cottage, area, facilities, ample parking.

Only slight niggles were that pillows uncomfortable and not enough hot water for bath- seemed to not get hot enough.

We absolutely loved our short break in Curlew cottage.

Everything was catered for and nothing was needed. A home from home.

A lovely cottage in beautiful countryside.

Everywhere in the cottage was very well maintained and extremely comfortable. We shall stay there again and certainly recommend Sykes to family and friends

We’ve had a lovely few days at Curlew cottage.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is set in a stunning location and is a perfect base for exploring The Peak District.

Lovely cottage in a great location for exploring.

Cottage was spotlessly clean with everything you need.

The cottage was a lovely retreat to recharge the batteries, set in a lively area, well equipped and warm, with lots of hot water for a shower or bath after a day walking, only thing we missed due to the boggy conditions underfoot was washing machine, even a communal one would have been a bonus.

Great cottage, kitchen had a great selection of cookware/utensils.

I liked that you could change the temperatures of the rooms indervidually.

Beautiful apartment, loved everything about it barring the sofa seemed a bit dated and not massively comfy, the TV was to small and the mattress didn’t suit me

First time at this cottage had a great time and the views were amazing

Clean and comfortable cottage with stunning views ,the only problem is, it just wasn't long enough

Fantastic, relaxed stay.

So quiet, undisturbed and peaceful. Would recommend to anyone. Clean and well equipped, a little gem

this was a fabulous break prime locationwith plenty of walks to choose from.

equipped beyond my expectations and cleanliness second to none. peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Would most definately recommend it and will definitely go back. Very well thought out well done

The property is compact and clean.

It was more than adequately equipped with kitchen utensils and cleaning products. The owner was very friendly and responsive with an electrical issue concerning National Grid. Despite the weather we both had a great holiday and would recommend the Curlew.

Unfortunately the cleanliness lets this property down massively.

The cottage really needs a thorougher deep clean, the dust, hair, dirt and the overall odor of wet dog is really disappointing. The cottage itself is beautiful, situated in a perfect place, but unfortunately our stay had been ruined by the cleanliness. We appreciate this property allows dogs, but if this is the case the cleanliness needs to be resolved, we couldn't even sit on the sofa without a blanket it wasn't pleasant at all and did ruin our stay, we are lucky that we could have windows and doors open due to weather. I would recommend staying here and I would come again if the place was cleaned more efficiently. It is a shame.

Outstanding stay in this lovely cottage in the midst of some beautiful countryside.

Short walks into the villages of Longnor & Crowdecote, where the Pack Horse pub is well worth a visit. The owners were both friendly & extremely helpful & we would have no hesitation in booking Curlew again in the future.

Had a lovely stay, cottage very clean and in a good location for our needs.

Just what we expected from a holiday cottage.

Lovely, well equipped & comfortable cottage in stunning location.

Ideal base for walking with many walks in the near vicinity. Although there are currently no pubs in Longnor itself there are two serving excellent meals within a short driving distance-Church Inn at Chelmorton & Royal Oak at Hurdlow.

Lovely stay in really nice accommodation.

We loved the location. Made good use of the bbq and the outdoor facilities. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to others. Minor issues - the wooden bit on the end of the bed means it is too small for anyone tall and made it hard to sleep properly. Also the noise of people upstairs moving around during the night was really loud and annoying and woke us up at 0500 each morning.

Absolutely amazing time away and the cottage was perfect, the owners had thought of everything and it was a beautiful place to stay

We had a wonderful stay at this perfect holiday cottage.

As a couple that live in a very busy town, the peace, tranquility and natural beauty were outstanding. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Ps. The little chippy in the village serves the best fish and chips!

Lovely cottage in a lovely are everything you needed was there

Fantastic property, surrounded by wildlife - the couple could not have been more helpful and lovely, checking in about our stay and fixing any issues promptly Perfect location for some amazing walks.

We had a lovely stay at Curlew Cottage

Property was in an excellent location with stunning views.

Lovely cottage, well situated, reasonably priced, good walking without driving.

Really relaxing.

We had a problem with the low back, soft sofa, but we are in our 70s and have health issues.

Otherwise, we had a lovely week in a beautiful cottage.

We were very happy to spend a week in this beautiful cottage.

It is very well equipped & so warm and cosy. The views are spectacular. We would recommend this cottage to anyone . The owners were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We will be going back at some point.,

The property was very well equipped and furnished to a high standard.

I We were very comfortable and enjoyed our short break thoroughly. We would definitely recommend .

Lovely few days away.

Cottage was lovely and cosy with everything we needed. Fish and chips from village were lovely

smashing little cottage very well done and stocked well lovely area the doggy basket was a lovely touch , would certainly stay again and recommend to family and friends

The Sykes listing indicated that there was a scenic view from the cottage, there wasn't.

Not really a problem but a slight disappointment. Everything was audible from the cottage above (mentioned by quite a few in the visitor book) and what we missed was the opportunity to wash and dry soggy walking gear. Other than that it was perfect for us and we would happily stay here again knowing what we know now.

Wow another wonderful stay in these cottages, last year we were next door that sleeps 4.

This year there were only 2 of us and Bella our fur baby. Can't fault the accomidation everything you could need and that view you could never tire of! My only grumble I found the bed really hard but hubby had no problems. We will be returning as this is now a firm favourite when visiting the Peak District. Sorry Austin and Julie could not write in the visitor's book had packed away the pen when leaving

Holiday cottage couldn't fault ,all as specified in booking details.

Have used sykes now for last few holidays and found booking details easy to follow and very accurate.

Lovely accommodation in a quiet setting.

It was clean and has everything you need. Walks from the door if you don’t want to use the car every day.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

Ideal base for exploring Bakewell, Buxton, Chatsworth and many other places. Loved our stay here.

Fantastic and well equipped holiday cottage in a good location to explore the Peak District.

Our dog loved her stay there and we would have no hesitation in returning here or to one of the sister cottages on the site.

The property was cosy and comfortable, however, it could have done with a private outside space.

This well equipped cottage was a real find.

Lovely views from the door, quiet location. We loved our stay there.

The holiday was idyllic, both property, site and location with plenty of choice walks with our small dog.

We will return to the Peak area in Sept.

Saw a couple of poor reviews but we were blown away with this cottage and it's location.

Very cosy , not a mark inside and we have booked again end of August. For dog walkers you can literally walk out your back door into the beautiful dales.

The apartment was small but ‘bijou’ and the facilities were excellent.

The views from the garden were awesome! The location was superb, apart from being lovely in its own right, it was only a 15/20 minute drive from lots of major attractions! Several food/drink pubs within a few minutes drive or walking distance (if you’re that way inclined!). I can see why the neighbours I met were not ‘first time visitors’. It’s unlikely to be my only visit.

Absolutely lovely location and a wonderful holiday let.

Only down side was the noise from the upstairs guests could be heard. When they were walking around it was very loud. You could hear them using the toilet when in bed and the drainage for the bathroom ran through the bedroom so woke me up every time they flushed the toilet.

Great cottage with everything you need!

Lovely, cosy apartment in a stunning location - perfect for our long weekend exploring the peak district with our dog.

The apartment is small but has everything you need for a stay and enough space for the three of us. Some lovely small gestures such as milk in the fridge, dog towels and guide to local walks. The outside terrace area is shared but we didn't use this much as it was very cold - absolutely breathtaking views. A short drive to Longnor (a few minutes) where there is a cosy pub, fish and chip shop and general store.

Excellent apartment in a terrific location.

Fab little cottage.

Provided us with the perfect base for a weekend of walking. Really good value for money, lovely and clean and stunning location. Would definitely come back!

Was a great place to stay for a few nights on well needed break.

Comfortable with everything you need for a lovely stay. Loved the easiness of the check in and out and would definitely stay again on our next visit to the Peak District.

The property is situated in a beautiful spot and was very cosy.

Well appointed and had everything you would need for a short stay. It was easy to find with good parking area. We were aware of footsteps above us, but luckily the guests above were on the same timings as us so for us it was no problem. We enjoyed our break and would be very happy to recommend it to others.

Beautiful location, peaceful and relaxing.

Cottage was very well equipped and very cosy. We didn't need to use the underfloor heating even in October. Owner was very welcoming and allowed us to use a spare field to exercise our labrador, who thoughly enjoyed the rural location. There was even a special basket of dog related items provided , including the all important towel and area to wash off a mucky hound ! Gorgeous views would highly recommend.

Accommodation was everything as described and more.

The out door area and scenery was amazing and can't wait to return. Fantastic holiday for us and Chester ( Labradoodle )

Very warm and cosy Firm bed

Lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet location.

Has everything that is needed.

One of the loveliest places we have stayed helped by the superb weather and friendly owner .

Got woken up a few times for the accommodation above us which was a pity.

Comfort slightly marked down due to an extremely creaky bed and hard mattress, along with VERY poor quality pillows (they were completely flat), which seemed at odds with the finish of the cottage which was beautiful.

The scenery was idyllic, the cottage was wonderful very warm and cosy on December nights, there was even a little Christmas tree and decorations the bathing facilities were wonderful the kitchen was packed with every utensil you would require from beans on toast to Sunday roast.

We will definitely be visiting again and cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Secluded rural location with miles of walking from the door.

Furthermore, a brisk walk for about a mile also finds friendly local pubs and other amenities in the nearby villages. Cottage was beautifully appointed with everything we could need and perfect for coffee on the terrace taking in the views. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Yes!

Everything was perfect EXCEPT the sofa! Diabolical! One of the MOST uncomfortable we have ever sat on. Ann Coley

I loved the stay, the cottage, the whole experience, what a wonderful place.

The holiday itself was fantastic and the hosts were brilliant.

Very friendly, responsive and accommodating. The reason for my low score is the email deluge from Skyes cottages. If you limited your emails to those relevant for my holiday, and maybe 1 marketing one weekly, then I'd have scored you a 9 or 10

Great location, really nice little cottage.

Only downside was the weather but not something you can control, unfortunately.

Wonderful location with stunning scenery.

Good local facilities. Accommodation was first class. Thank you Sykes.

Lovely scenery, near to village for supplies or eating out.

Very warm cottage in an excellent conversion.

Had a good time at cottage , everything was provided apart from the weather !

We had a really lovely stay however, as we were staying next to the family home, it would have been nice for the owners to have popped their head in on our arrival day to say hello.

We also had to hoover the sofa and foot stool as it had dog hair on it presumably from the previous guests, hence the slight deduction on cleanliness score. The rest of the cottage was immaculate. This is really picky feedback and it didn't stop us having a lovely relaxing stay. The cottage was beautiful and had all the amenities we could have needed. The biscuits and milk on arrival was a lovely touch.

The cottage was very nice and cosy.

The furniture was comfortable and the owners were friendly. The cottage was easy to find and the local pub was very tourist-friendly. The only thing to be aware of is that the underfloor heating is a little too efficient and takes a long time to cool down. We spent one night with all the windows and door open trying to get cool air in. It's a shame that there isn't a washing machine but there isn't room for one.

Lovely location, well placed to explore the 'White Peak' area.

Longnor has small general store, post office, pubs, fish & chips, several cafe's for food/snacks/cakes -sitting in/out.

Lovely cottage, venue & good local facilities.

Would definitely revisit

Lovely well presented acomodation.

Beautiful quiet surroundings. Owners friendly and helpful . First class in every way

what a beautiful place the peak district is

The accommodation was exactly as described, a beautiful comfortable property, beautifully renovated barn with quality and care to high standards.

Spotlessly clean and furnished. Set in beautiful surroundings with walks ,especially good for dogs. Some quality pubs nearby. A village shop within a mile. Definitely recommend without hesitation.

The cottage was beautiful, well equipped and cosy.

Great location, very peaceful but near to everything too with a car. If you want views book Lapwing or Larkspur as they have views from the windows. Curlew doesn’t really but it’s still a lovely place to stay.

Lovely cottage, very well equipped.

Warm and cosy.

Loved the terrace and the views across the valley!

Great base for exploring the Peak District.

Lovely cottage, very cosy, no views from cottage itself but fabulous area and great walking from the front door.

Superb cottage in a delightful, tranquil position.

Very comfortable, immaculately clean and well equipped. We had a totally relaxing and idyllic week. Pet friendly too, which is a bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Curlew Cottage again.

We had a wonderful holiday and the cottage was really lovely inside.

However, one comment I would make is that in the Sykes description ' all of the apartments also come with incredible views of the Peak District' this is just not the case at all with Curlew cottage. Curlew is on the ground floor, which we knew, but there is no view at all from either of the three windows. Two windows (lounge and bedroom) look out onto an old breeze block barn blocking any view, and one window (from the kitchen) looks out directly onto a two storey brick wall of part of the owner's house, blocking any view so that was very disappointing. This is not a criticism of the owners at all, but the description by Sykes for Curlew does need to be changed - or re-worded as it is mis-leading. I don't need this feedback published, but I would appreciate an email back to me at Corinne.diss@btinternet.com Kind regards.

We were more than happy with Curlew at Upper Whittle Farm.

Very comfortable, in a beautiful location. Just one little comment would be, a washing machine instead of a dish washer would have been more useful, otherwise perfect!

Wonderful break in a fantastic cottage.

Very comfortable with excellent facilities. Breathtaking scenery. Would definitely return

Great location for walking, really lovely little cottage in a pretty setting.

The position and environment were fantastic.

From a personal view point I think (in a walking environment) a washing machine would have been a more pressing need than a dish washer. We also went out and bought a fan to cool the place, but that was purely due to the fact that it was the hottest fortnight in most people's living memory. But these are very minor issues. We had a wonderful time in a beautiful setting.

A recently converted cottage with modern decor and excellent facilities.

The owners,Justin and Julie, were very pleasant and welcoming.

The accommodation was very comfortable, and I really enjoyed my stay! I hope to go back to stay there again in the not too distant future.

Our accommodation owners were great, friendly and helpful.

The accommodation complex they have created is very cosy and comfortable. The location beautiful and we had a layer of snow which set a pretty scene. Loads of walks and bike routes. The local pubs served excellent food and the local village shops have a fair supply of previsions. We may well return to continue walks we did not get time to do. And try some of the bike trails.

Lots of care taken to fit the cottage out - spotlights, well equipped kitchen, biscuits and milk on arrival, lovely!

Excellent cottage in a superb location.

Plenty to do around and about
