Harebell Cottage

Harebell Cottage was extremely confortable and in a great location.

The sponge cake on arrival was a very nice touch. Our one comment is that my husband and I both grazed our shins on the bed end in the smaller of the upstairs bedrooms. The problem seems to be that the mattress doesn't go right out to the corners, which are therefore exposed.

Harebell Cottage is beautifully located, tastefully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable: we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay there.

The cottage is very cosy and well equipped. The wood burner was a delight to come back to in the evenings. The welcome pack and cake were wonderful surprises. The bed was very comfortable. The area is great for exploring and there are wonderful walks from the doorstep. We wouldn't hesitate to return and stay in this beautiful cottage and area again.

Our second stay at this beautiful cottage.

Everything is excellent quality, extremely comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. Well stocked kitchen to cook at home. Warmly greeted by Suzie on arrival and she had left some delicious goodies to enjoy - we do love a welcome pack! The addition of two comfortable chairs in the living room was great as we do struggle a bit with the low sofa. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and look forward to returning again next year.

Delightful cottage in lovely location.

Two double bedrooms with shower or bathroom, plus an extra cloakroom, ideal for two couples. Kitchen is well equipped with induction hob and plenty of cutlery, crockery and pans etc. Hosts were helpful and answered queries promptly. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage, perfect for 2 couples as there are 2 large en suite bedrooms.

We found the kitchen to be well equipped and appreciated the bread, biscuits & delicious cake from the owners. Excellent walks from the door, we walked to Chatsworth and also enjoyed the views from Curbar Edge, less than a mile away. Highly recommended, would love to return.

What an absolute gem of a place!

From the moment we pulled onto our designated parking space through to our departure (which was sad as neither of us wanted it to end) we were blown away. Harebell Cottage is superb. Stylish, clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. Every last detail has been given much thought and is a reflection of all the hard work by the owners. They live next door and we were met with a very warm welcome but they weren’t at all intrusive throughout our stay. We will definitely be recommending this cosy cottage, so if you’re considering booking while you’re reading this, be quick and grab yourselves a wonderful few days away in this beautiful area. You certainly won’t be disappointed.

Fabulous cottage in an idyllic situation.

There are walks, historic houses and interesting small towns to explore, in short something for everyone. The owner is especially welcoming, and you feel at ease instantly. Cottage has modern appliances which , if you are not a technical person , can be a little daunting , but they can be mastered!!! Definitely a cottage to return to and one that couldn’t be too highly recommended.

Harebell Cottage is in a perfect location for touring North Derbyshire and beyond.

The property is of an exceptionally high standard in terms of comfort, cleanliness and kitchen/bathroom facilities. It is ideal for two separate couples as both bedrooms are en suite and the beds are also very comfortable. Suzie and Dallas are extremely friendly and helpful hosts and we were very grateful for the delicious homemade cake waiting for us on arrival. Unfortunately we were unable to visit all of the places we had planned and therefore hope to visit Harebell Cottage once again in the future. Chris & Ann and Lynn & Pete

Excellent cottage in nice rural location.

Very clean and well fitted out. The owner provided a welcoming fruit cake which was very tasty. Would recommend. A good base for exploring the area around north Derbyshire.

Harebell is a brilliant find!

Tucked away ensuring peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. Susi & Dallas are excellent hosts and have ensured the house is equipped to the highest spec, resulting in a really easy stay. Everything you could think of for the kitchen equipment and white goods - fab size for 4/5 people too. The bedrooms are both en suite, again, beautifully finished. There was nothing we could want for. An absolute gem of a place - we loved it (just in case you can't tell)!

The cottage is very comfortable with a very well stocked kitchen.

The owners are delightful and very helpful. We were greeted with a bottle of milk and a home baked delicious cake. The home is quiet and peaceful with no traffic noise. We look forward to returning there.

A lovely cottage, finished to a very high standard.

Perfect location for exploring the Peak District.

Harebell gave us that home from home feel as soon as we arrived.

It had really comfortable furnishings and high end kitchen and ensuites. Everything had been thought of and supplied to the highest standard. The views from the picture windows were incredable especially a couple of the sunsets. The local area has plenty to see and do. We would recomend Harebell to anyone wanting to visit the area and hope to visit again ourselves soon.

This was a beautiful location with many walks from the house.

The cottage was mostly clean and well maintained. However, there were some disappointing aspects. There was no welcome pack, no dishwasher tabs or bin liners, no way to buy extra logs, and no instructions on how to control the heating (it was February). The sofa was extremely uncomfortable. The overall experience was not what we usually receive from a Sykes property.

Absolutely wonderful cottage.

We were a party of 2 couples and the layout was perfect for that as each bedroom had its own ensuite. Everything you could need was in the cottage. It is also very central to many peak district must see's. Thoroughly recommend

The cottage is wonderful, very comfortable with everything that you could need.

The location is great with walks from the door and stunning views from the windows. Susie welcomed warmly with home baked shortbread.

We had a great stay.

Lots of lovely walks straight from the house and lots of things to do within a short drive. Our host was extremely generous with welcome cake and some Halloween treats which our boys were particularly delighted with!

Cottage is ideal as a location for walking, especially local walking (although the traffic can be busy along the road as there is minimal path/verge).

Curbar Edge and nearby woodland are very attractive walks. I enjoyed all my walks even when the weather was very wet. Bedrooms/bathrooms are comfortable and very well equipped. The lounge settee was not comfortable for me (need more back support and shorter leg section, but the chair was comfortable - a very minor issue). I would definitely return to the cottage!

Harebell Cottage is a lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the area with fantasic walks right from the door step.

The cottage is well equipped with superb bedrooms and bathrooms. The furniture in the sitting room is very low but comfy. The kitchen utensils are excellent quality. There is no basic supplies of tin foil, cling film, or milk. There's a fab built in Nespresso coffee machine but you'll need to take your own pods. We would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful and very clean cottage and hope to return next year.

Brilliant accommodation very well appointed will come back again

Whilst searching for somewhere to stay for an extremely last-minute break, I did not expect to find the little gem that was Harebell Cottage.

This place was so luxurious, with everything from the appliances to the furnishings to the crockery being of a very high standard. I appreciated the complimentary extras that were left for us - a lovely little gesture. Despite being closely situated, we hardly knew the owners were around and our stay was an extremely peaceful one. They were however very quick to respond and act when we required assistance with one of the appliances. We enjoyed taking the short walk to Curber Edge on one of the days to enjoy the stunning views and would recommend this walk to other visitors at the Cottage. Overall our stay here was a peaceful and relaxing one, and one that all members of our party thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely recommend to others and look to return ourselves in hopefully the not to distant future.

Beautiful cottage equipped to a very high standard.

Every detail was carefully thought through to ensure a comfortable holiday. It felt like a home from home. We loved every aspect of our stay at Harebell cottage. Susie was very helpful advising on local walks. Loads of wonderful walk traight from the door. We ended our stay with a beautiful sunset walk just behind the cottage. Thank you Susie for making our week so memorable and for the delicious cake. We'd love to return!

Lovely comfortable beds with good quality linen. Top quality appliances. The cottage is ideally suited for visiting popular attractions ie Buxton, Chatsworth House, Eyam, Heights of Abraham.

Suzie had left milk and cake for our arrival. Much appreciated. The peak district is a perfect area to explore with lovely scenery and walks. The cottage is great and will definitely recommend to our family and friends. Hope to be back.

A fantastic cottage in a beautiful location!

The cottage was very well equipped and to a high standard. The hosts were very welcoming - a homemade cake & chocolates for the children on arrival were a lovely surprise! The cottage was so warm and cosy - the wood burner was lovely! Walks straight from the door and only a short drive to many other local walks e.g. Mam Tor. Would highly recommend!

The cottage is in a beautiful location, with fantastic views all round.

Bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms are of a very high standard, and the fixtures and fittings are very high-tech. Although the owners cottage is very close, we didn't feel overlooked; they were very welcoming, but didn't intrude. We were provided with milk, tea bags, and a delicious home-made cake, which was very much appreciated! We would have liked a little bit more information about how the appliances worked, although we were able to work most of it out, except for the television. There were instructions about switching it on, but it seemed like regular UK channels such as BBc hadn't been set up, so we watched the news etc mostly through I-Player. But there was a good selection of books and games provided, which we made good use of.

We found the cottage spacious, generously equipped and very comfortable.

The equipment and fittings are high quality and we were warmly welcomed.
