Take a walk beside the River Manifold before jumping in the car to explore the surrounding wonders; take a trip to Bakewell where you can sample the famed tasty treat of a Bakewell Tart, as well as there being a wonderful outdoor market every Monday where you can pick up some fresh produce for your romantic meals, being sure to attend the Bakewell Carnival Week and Well Dressing in July and the Bakewell Show in August while in the area, or take a tour of the Thornbridge Brewery for a day out with a difference.

The Monsal Trail lies in close reach of Bakewell, perfect for all of walkers, cyclists, horse riders to experience the Peaks' limestone dales, while the Poole's Cavern & Buxton Country Park is also well-worth exploring, the historic spa town also being famous for its array of fantastic attractions including its Edwardian Opera House, Devonshire Dome, Pavillion Gardens and plenty more.

The charming Peak District village of Longnor is situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands/Derbyshire border, with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, making an excellent touring centre. The village boasts two pubs, a shop, a Post Office, café tea room, fish and chip shop, and a beautiful church. The historic market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park are all within easy reach.
