Manor Barn

We had a lovely week at Manor Barn, despite the weather turning wet and cooler.

Great location for access to Alton Towers and the Peak District. Well equipped kitchen and facilities. Hot tub, EV charging and enclosed garden area for our dog were big bonuses! We were a group of 6 adults, so used the sofa bed in the lounge as well as the 2 bedrooms - with this in mind, it would have been helpful to have some additional storage downstairs for the belongings of those sleeping on the sofa bed. We very much enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Just back from a very relaxing 3 night stay at Manor Barn.

Cottage was amazing and had everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was a fabulous addition and much needed in the heatwave! Lovely to sit and relax and watch the very friendly chickens. Pub 5 mins walk away was really good and so friendly. Food was lovely! Would definitely recommend and would book again, thank you

Lovely property with everything you need.

Great enclosed space to keep our dogs safe so we could relax. Hot tub was a great addition. Good spot for exploring the local area. Friendly hosts on site provided a nice welcome and helpful advice.

Airy downstairs with access outside to the hot tub and a super seating area.

Very comfortable mattresses and bedding. We were there in the heatwave and because you can only open the windows a few inches it did get very hot upstairs. The large hot tub was fantastic at the cooler start and end of the day. We enjoyed sitting outside, soaking up the peace and quiet and watching the hens walking about the lawn. Lovely location in very pretty countryside, near the edge of the Peak District. Lots of great walking and some super farm shops and farm cafes (we loved the Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Cafe and the Hatch at Dalton's Dairies for wonderful ice cream). It was very handy to be able to charge our EV car at the owner's charging point for a £25 fee for the week. Overall we had a lovely restful week and would definitely go back.

Perfect stay for a few days.

Everything you could wish for whilst away from home. Extremely clean on arrival, quiet village with a pub (good vibe and acceptable food), hot tub was perfect. Would stay again

Had everthing you could need for a long or short stay. Hosts were lovely and always willing to chat. Local pub was busy but very accommodating and welcoming. Lovely walks close by with amazing views. Hot tub was an added luxury, perfect for stargazing after a long day. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

A lovely, cosy little place to stay.

In the small dale there are some beautiful dog walks. The village pub; The Shoulder of Mutton pub was welcoming and had a lovely atmosphere, we enjoyed New Year’s Eve there and the food is very good. There five of us and our dog had plenty of room and the views over the countryside are lovely, very peaceful and secure. We cooked some meals at the barn so I bought and left some staples (salt, pepper, sugar, loo rolls etc.) for other guests (always nice to have a few things there to use). It’s a nice central location but as with all these quiet retreats is a bit of a drive to go anywhere. We enjoyed snowy trips to Buxton and Bakewell, walks at Rudyard Lake and Cromford Mills and the younger adults among us loved the hot tub, feeding the chickens and the history and stories of the local area. A lovely getaway. We all enjoyed it thoroughly to ease us into a new year!

A really lovely property, well equipped, spacious and clean.

The hosts were great - really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We would love to come back.

Our weekend get-away accommodation was fab, and the owners friendly and on-hand.

I would say that pre-arrival communication was a little haphazard as we had requested the adaptable twin beds to be made up as a double as offered, however this was missed- it wasn’t an issue for us, but for others booking just ensure your requests are responded to. The heating hadn’t been switched on prior to our arrival so it was very very cold (we had a young baby with us) but it didn’t take too long to warm up. Appreciating the building is old and very well renovated, it was fantastic, but just to note that it would be beneficial for the double room en-suite window to have the operating mechanism and cracked tiling repaired-as a heavy handed person would possibly cause more damage. Hot tub provided, and local vicinity all made for a relaxing break- than you Matt & Mark for hosting your lovely property

Had a great stay at Manor Barn.

The location was perfect for getting to a lot of places. The garden was perfect and secure for the dogs and there was plenty of space to make this feel like home. The hot tub was also a great size and had plenty of room for us all. Would definitely stay again.

The owners were great and gave us a few tips where to go in the area. Local pub great especially the food. Overall I would definitely recommend a week in this location.

The property is a great base to explore multiple walks with dogs in the area.

The owner was very tentative to our needs and helped with deliveries that we had booked on first day as we got stuck in some traffic. The property was very clean and had everything we needed and the hot tub was welcomed at the end of the day. Owner recommended the local pub food was so good we went three times. We will look to book again and pass on the details to others looking to visit this area.

The accommodation was very spacious and clean with everything we needed for a family of 5. Beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a very nice addition. Host was very accommodating. Highly recommend would visit again.

The hot tub was also great to relax in after a busy day. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and in beautiful surroundings with a good pub/restaurant 5 minute walk away.

We stayed with our two cocker spaniels and felt super safe to let them out in the garden and not have to worry about them. The hottub was lovely and clean. 10/10 experience, thank you so much.

Beautiful barn, very comfortable and well equipped in a very pretty little village.

Fantastic hot tub and surroundings. Nice local pub , serving great food. Area very dog friendly. WiFi very hit and miss , and due to road closures some problems getting around as even sat nav didn't pick them up but out of owners control, who may I add was a very nice guy. Would recommend.

A lovely cottage, some nice field walks and some great pubs for food and drinks in the local area.

The cottage was spacious and had a lovely large kitchen. We were lucky with the weather and were able to dine alfresco on the patio and the hot tub was a welcome treat after a day walking. The Monkey Forest was interesting (about 20 minute drive).

Mark and Matt were made us feel very welcome and thank you for the wine. The cottage has been beautifully equipped with everything you could need and the beds in particular are very comfortable. The hot tub was also excellent. One of the best cottages I’ve stayed in , The location is also excellent and there are lots of things within easy reach.

What an incredible property and just what we were looking for.

Our first Christmas away and a perfect location to do it. Private, immaculate and we loved the hot tub. Mark and Matt kept us informed and updated regarding our stay and were on hand to answer questions and make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We would highly recommend Manor Barn to anyone looking for some quiet time with loved ones in a beautiful private setting.

We had a very enjoyable stay with our dog with at Manor Barn and would highly recommend this property for a very peaceful country getaway in comfortable surroundings.

After having a slight issue at the start of our break which was dealt with brilliantly by the owner Mark, we were very impressed with his level of customer service and thank him for dealing with it so efficiently & quickly. The property was super clean and so spacious and the standard of furnishings was of high quality. It was very well equipped and we couldn't really think of anything that was not provided. The hot tub was beautiful with a lovely elevated view of the countryside and perfect to relax in and enjoy the great outdoors. Although this location is in the country it was not that isolated from anything as it had a great pub about 10 mins walk away called 'The Shoulder of Mutton' which was dog friendly and served very nice food. Further afield about 10 - 15 mins drive we found shops for our supplies. Finally there was a great walk just up the lane from the property which had elevated views over the area which was beautiful and worth exploring. Overall to sum up this property we would not hesitate to go back if in the area and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break in peaceful surroundings which is ideally located for many things.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Manor Barn.

The accommodation was very private and comfortable with lovely facilities. An extra fridge freezer has been added providing plenty of space for chilled and frozen items. The barn was extremely dog friendly with tiled floors, gates at the top and bottom of the stairs and fenced garden. The area was so peaceful and the large hot tub with beautiful countryside views was amazing. Mark and Matthew were very friendly and helpful. The pub in Fulford just five minutes walk away was very welcoming, dog friendly with lovely food. Worth booking to ensure a table. The area has some great places to visit such as Trentham Gardens, Rudyard Lake and Churnet Valley Railway which has Hetty’s Tea Room in walking distance which is also well worth a visit! We would definitely return in the future.

Had a great stay at Manor Barn.

It's was our 8 year old's birthday and we let her choose. Her priority was a hot tub, and the one at manor barn was huge, so she loved it. The place was fairy high spec, and clean. The owners live right next door and were helpful when we had an issue with the shower. Would definitely go back.

Absolutely stunning property in such a peaceful area.

The hot tub was really appreciated and the lovely patio area. I think if you stayed for a week you would struggle with the small freezer compartment in the fridge, so a fridge freezer would be a welcome addition. The barn has a washer/dryer but the drying cycle takes a long time. A 4 slice toaster would be a good addition too and checking the bulbs as quite a few were out. Thank you for the bottle of wine and we would definitely recommend the barn to family and friends

Second stay here Fantastic week away for my husband 60th with our dogs they loved it was really relaxed whereas we normally have a problem with them as they suffer from anxiety but they loved it weather was amazing we look like we have been abroad all home comforts, if we don't end up moving abroad next year we will definitely be back 5 star ❤️

We stayed in Manor Barn over Christmas and it was beautiful, lots of space for a family of 5 and the owners were amazing.

Fantastic location as the village and local pub (amazing food) was in walking distance and the owners guided us with the nearest supermarket etc. Thank you for an amazing stay we will be back. Ps the hot tub was a plus point as well with lovely views xx

We stayed here for three nights over New Year.

Great service and communication from the owners. The Barn has great facilities and the hot tub was very nice. Having the gate around the property made this safe and secure for the children and dogs. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely chilled week just what we needed.

The fencing around the manor barn meant we felt our dogs were very secure and could just roam at their leisure. Hot tub was probably the nicest we’ve been in very spacious and really clean. The barn was really warm so only used the fire once but was so cosy when lit. Thankyou for a fab stay

The location is lovely.

For us using this property especially as it is listed up to 6 people would be that it requires a proper fridge and a proper freezer. The little one that is provided has a lot of space taken up with the door and the little freezer compartment. I would also liked to have seen more than 4 mugs. Apart from this the property is spacious downstairs and has a large kitchen with plenty of seating available for sitting at at meal times. Was nice having a downstairs loo as well. The stairs are a somewhat creaky so a quiet journey to bed is not an option. Upstairs again the rooms are quite spacious. Master bedroom had a nice view over the fields. The ensuite bathroom is small but adequate for the small to medium sized person. This bedroom could have done with a full set of drawers as the dressing table does not have a plug point next to it. The wardrobe is adequate for a short stay but you will have to bend to get into it. The other bedroom is a good size and again has views. This bedroom has a proper wardrobe and chest of drawers. The family bathroom is at the top of the stairs between the two bedrooms. The hot tub is lovely to relax in after a long day out and about. There is plenty of parking and the area designated for this house outside is made quite private by a wall. There is a nice grass area if you have kids for them to play on as well as slab area as patio. There is seating provided for enjoying the sunset or meals outside. There are also a couple of large garden games to be played. The property is clean and tidy but for us just needed a few tweaks.

We had a fantastic stay at Manor Barn, great property, very well laid out and a pub to die for within walking distance, who could ask for more!

The downstairs area of the cottage and outside space were as expected.

The kitchen was well equipped albeit the fridge was very small with only an ice box freezer. The living space was ok. Outside was pleasant and we enjoyed using the hot tub. Upstairs the property was very disappointing. It was very small being built into the roof space of the building. The windows had very limited opening capacity (just a few cms) which meant it was too hot and stuffy for sleeping even when outside it wasn’t too warm. The location was good and the local pub within walking distance served nice food.

Highly recommend this place it was beautiful and a great location for us to spend time local to our family and friends in Staffordshire. The cottage itself is fantastic and is very well equipped with everything you would need. Mark the owner is a lovely guy and could not have been more helpful. We will certainly be using Manor Barn for our future Staffordshire stays!

It is spacious, very clean and comfortable. The owners, who live next door, were extremely friendly and helpful. There are numerous walks in beautiful countryside on the doorstep and a wonderful pub by a pond a couple of miles up the road. We had a very relaxing holiday and the hot tub was a real treat. Will definitely return!

Lovely converted barn that exceeded expectations.

We have a 3 nights stay which was well needed after being key workers in the NHS and not having a break since April. Beautiful surroundings and the hosts were more then helpful. We were trusted to come and go as we pleased. Not overlooked and very private. Everything you need and very comfortable living spaces. We spent much needed family time together in a fabulous home from home. We would definitely book again and recommend. Thank you x

Stayed 4 nights at Manor Barn in September.

The barn has been lovingly restored to a very high standard and has everything you need for a short break away. The hot tub was Brilliant. The owners Mark and Matt were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for a visit to Manor Barn.

The break we had was everything we had hoped for, the only downside was we couldn't stay any longer.

Mark was very helpful and obviously likes to make sure that everything is just right. We had a problem with the local pub, which Mark seemed to be a little perturbed about. I liked that as he likes to make sure his guests have as good a time as possible. Couldn't recommend Manor Barn enough and certainly hope to be able to revisit if time allows.

Fantastic house, beautifully decorated, very tasteful, clean and tidy with absolutely everything you could possibly need.

The hot tub was HUGE! Loved it!. A very warm welcome for us and our dog from Mark. He showed us around, recommended some great walks and even booked the local pub for us. Very kind. The house is in a gated area so all very safe for the dog ( and children) and the friendly little hens clucking around the garden were adorable. All in all a fabulous week away. We would definitely recommend it and we will be back! Thank you Mark and Matthew

The house was perfect for us and the pool was out of this world!

Most of our time was spent languishing in the delight of the warmth and comfort of the water, even in the rain and the beautiful views of the countryside including the cheeky hens which were a delight!

Absolutely lovely cottage - we had a wonderful and relaxing weekend, just what we were after.

Lovely looking and comfortable property.

Enjoyed the hot tub and children loved feeding the chickens. Only real issue was poor WiFi and no phone coverage esp on O2 network. But this is not a fault of the property owner. Property owner quickly responsive to any queries we had and resolving our minor issues. Would recommend that those looking to book fully understand the restrictions regards dogs. Overall, a great holiday was enjoyed by all.

Wonderful barn, had everything you would need, even down to cake baking.

The beds were firm but comfortable and we all slept well. Hot tub was huge and very relaxing with a lie down section. We had 2 dogs with us and they were facinated with the chickens but also very safe with the gated raised garden area. Mark and Matthew were great, very friendly guys and nothing was too much trouble, ie, the washing machine door locked and we were unable to open it not only did Mark rescue our washing but a new machine arrived the next day. Hopefully we will return.

The quality of the accommodation is wonderful!

Bright and clean and excellent quality. The owners clearly take a lot of time and pride in the property and were very pleasant and helpful. We have seen that they own more holiday lets and are currently deciding which one we want to try. This is our 2nd booking through Sykes and we will be using them again. We can't thank the owners enough for the wonderful surroundings they provided for our family memories and the bottle of win in the fridge sealed the deal!

After arriving at the Barn, the owner Mark made us the fire with the weekend being heavy rain and wind.

The barn itself is finished to a high spec and was lovely. All needs catered for. This is a must visit and we will definitely be attending again. Such a beautiful barn and easy to find with the instructions given by the owners. Highly recommend a visit.

This was a beautiful Barn in a great location, Very clean and everything you need for a relaxing break.

The private hot tub was a big plus, sitting in it watching the sun go down Was lovely. The owners did themselves proud, a roaring fire awaited us When we arrived and the could not have been more helpful. We highly recommend this property defiantly 5 stars.

The barn is in a peaceful location but in just a short drive there are plenty of attractions for all ages. We have all really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Manor Barn to all our family friends and acquaintances

The barn conversion was idyllic and more than surpassed our expectations with everything that was needed for a weeks wonderful break. Although the weather was not ideal we still found plenty to do and welcomed the hot tub on the cold nights with a cheering glass of wine. Everything was perfect the owners and property was everything you could ask for The only thing was the wifi not a very good connection which isn’t that bad but there are limited phone signals there (orange and EE) only service But saying that was nice and quiet no tech for a week

Booking with Sykes was so easy and then the communication from the owners of the Barn was brilliant. It’s a lovely little getaway with so much to see and do in the surrounding areas plus the Barn was immaculate. We usually only go abroad so this was a nice new experience and will definitely be booking through Sykes again.

Absolutely wonderful cottage, although the owners live next door, they were not intrusive at all, quite relaxed and encouraged the kids to feed the chickens :) The hot tub was amazing!

! The cottage immaculate, well worth paying extra for the dressing gown,slippers and towel for the hot tub, so that you dont need to use towels from the bathroom. The beds were firm but comfortable, carpet upstairs so nice under the foot. The kitchen had everything you could need to be self sufficient. We visited many places: Alton towers, Sudbury Hall & museum, Waterworld, Monkey forest and Trentham gardens and the Odeon cinema. Would definitely return and have already recommended to family and friends :)

Manor Barn is a really beautiful place set in a quiet part of Fulford and surrounded by lovely countryside.

Mark and Matt the owners are two great people who always find time to chat and give any advice if required. The cottage has got everything you could ever need and it is beautifully maintained throughout. It is the best cottage we have ever stayed in and the fencing surrounding the patio area made it really secure for our little dog, there was no way she could get to those chickens lol . It also meant we could make nightly use of the "AMAZING " hot tub and not worry about what the dog was doing. Safety gates are fitted at the top and bottom of the one flight of stairs which was great as our two year old grandson was with us for the first two days. The local pub which is just a six minute walk through the village is advertised as dog friendly so we had every intention of eating there on most evenings, however we could not do this as they only allow dogs in the beer garden and the weather was not suitable for eating out at night. Finally , the address in Sykes Cottages listing "suggests" it is in the Peak District. ....It is not in the Peak District, however it is still a lovely , quiet and rural location . The cottage was absolutely beautiful and had every thing we could need including all of the stuff we needed to cook a roast! The hot tub was amazing for something to do and mark and Matt were brilliant hosts who were always happy to give recommendations of what to do and where to go! We all would love to go back soon!!

A great holiday cottage for those with young families.

We took our 6 and 3 Yr olds and they loved feeding the free roaming chickens and collecting eggs with the owners. The cottage itself is extremely well appointed, and has the best hot tub we've experienced! Lots to do in the local area too. Highly recommended.

Manor Barn is a fantastic property in a peaceful and beautiful part of the country.

It's been built and equipped to a very high standard which helped to ensure that we had a relaxing and stress free week away. My wife and I would definitely consider returning again and would highly recommend it.

Manor Barn was superbly fitted out and the owners had thought of everything above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience.

The setting of the barn is lovely and peaceful and the free roaming chickens added to the ambience. Nothing was too much trouble and they even found out if the local pub that we were going to walk to had food on - even the locals all knew who we were and where we staying and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be making a return visit!

This cottage was absolutely immaculate, everything was better than we imagined.

We celebrated my 30th Birthday here for 2 nights and it was lovely. The hot tub was an added bonus! The giant games were definitely put to use, they were ace! Plenty of room and the views were incredible. We sat in the hot tub both nights and watched the sun set - amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone.

We have just returned from a lovely week away over Christmas at Manor Barn.

Lots of time was spent in the hot tub, which is in a nice private position, with lovely views over the surrounding fields. The quality of all the fixtures and fittings at Manor Barn are beautiful. Lovely to arrive and find a bottle of cold wine in the fridge after our journey. Also one of the first holiday cottages where we have arrived and found some T Towels, Fairy liquid and Dishwasher Tablets left in the kitchen. Always nice if you don’t want to dash out shopping straight away. Would have loved to have stayed longer! Many thanks to Matt and Mark :)

! Had a three day stay at this beautiful barn. Absolutely stunning throughout. The owners Matt and Mark were so friendly and attentive they could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend if your thinking of a break away from it all. Thank you so much Matt and Mark and we will be back.

The cottage facilities are fantastic. The only disappointment was the cooking equipment was poor and there was nothing for cleaning the cooker etc which was a shame. The hot tub was brilliant.

Manor barn is excellent . Hot tub is great .its in a great location for walks and cycling and the view as u are sat in the hot tub is brilliant .mark was very helpful and made sure we enjoyed our stay .

We stayed here with our 3 boys; 4, 10 and 11.

There was lots of attractions within a 30 mile radius to keep us entertained. The barn was a perfect base with everything we needed. After the end of a busy day the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind and watch the stars.

We all had a fabulous time.

The barn was absolutely beautiful even the sofa bed was top of the range and comfortable. The hot tub was out of this world and used every single night. Relaxing under the stars with a drink in hand in the warm water watching deer on the nearby hill was a highlight of the holiday. Matt and Mark truly had thought of everything the barn was so well equipped and even offered to lend us their gas bbq (that’s what we call going the extra mile). The barn is in such a tranquil setting yet only a short distance from wonderful places to visit such as Chatsworth House,Alton Towers, and Trentham monkey forest. Our grandson loved feeding the chickens and playing the outdoor connect 4 and jenga. We did not want to leave such a gorgeous place and hope to go back soon. If anyone looking at this property don’t hesitate book it now you will not be disappointed.

The owners of Manor Barn in Fulford were fab and couldn't do enough for you, would book again and would advise my friends to do the same, wished I'd booked for 2 weeks instead of one.

This is a very well located property.

Most things you could need are a short distance away, and family attractions like Alton Towers, or the Trentham Monkey Park are less than 30 mins away. But it's also a very nice place to spend time in of itself. It has a hot tub. There were oversized outdoor games of Jenga and Connect 4 for the children, which I thought was a very nice touch. Our youngest loved the hens. Everything about the place was pleasant and relaxed.

The holiday was just perfect the owners went the extra mile to make sure everything was just perfect and nothing was too much trouble

A well thought out and lovely presented cottage with a high spec finish.

Owners very helpful and friendly and nothing too much trouble. Lovely well kept grounds and the cottage is situated in a perfect little village with a great, friendly local pub for gorgeous homemade food. Just a quick walk behind the cottage is a few small steps upto lots of open fields, perfect for walking our lively dogs and lots of various places to go and visit all within reasonable distance by car to keep our 3 year old entertained: swimming, trampolining, steam train ride in the valleys. Of course, the hot tub located at the cottage was a bonus and was lovely to relax in looking out over the fields, and the owners provided outdoor toys: jenga blocks/connect 4 for our daughter who thought these were great! Overall, a perfect break away to just get away from it all.

Just amazing!

Hats off the Mark and Matt, their barn is just incredible. It really will be hard to find another cottage/lodge with the same high standard of finish throughout. There has been no expense spared at all with this one. Great furniture and fittings, heated tiled flooring, solid wood kitchen and doors, fantastic bathrooms, lovely patio area (totally fenced off for our dogs) and to top it off, the best Hot tub we have ever been in! The area is lovely too, with plenty to do in the surrounding area. All in all, it was the perfect break away for me and my family. We will most definitely be back in the near future and we never visit the same place twice! Keep up the amazing work guys. See you again soon :)

Beautiful property , amazing location!

Owners so friendly and helped to make a perfect holiday - including a guided walk to a nearby pub ( the scenic route!). Can't recommend highly enough - high spec and lots outdoor living space with complete privacy! Best hot tub we've used!

Manor Farm was a wonderful place to stay.

Very comfortable, clean and hot tub was amazing.

The property was everything we had dreamt of and more, the finish of the property was of the highest standard.

This property much deserves 5 tick and is well equipped. Owners were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to ensure our visit was comfortable.

The place was fantastic with Mark and Matt going above and beyond to make sure our minimoon was perfect.

The cottage was spotless and furnished to an amazing standard. The hot tub was definitely a highlight of the trip. We loved the fact that it felt so far removed from everything even though you were only minutes from shops/pubs etc. Incredible place that we will definitely return to.

Brill weekend break!

We stayed over the New year the cottage was spacious and well decorated very classy but comfortable.

This was a truly lovely cottage for our much looked forward to annual break.

The cottage its self was immaculate and decorated and furnished to a very high specification. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating and couldnt do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone

Had a lovely relaxing week at manor barn, very clean and fully equipped to a high standard, owners Matt & Mark very accommodating & friendly.

Quiet & rural but not too far away from attractions if you want them - had a great Chinese take away and did some Christmas shopping in the nearby town of Leek. Also enjoyed the hot tub while it was snowing!

Manor Barn was an absolutely beautiful place to stay.

We loved the fact we could take our dogs along. The hot tub and log fire made this place and our stay even more relaxed. Would definitely recommend this place to Family and Friends. We really enjoyed it.

The barn is amazing and so much better than any other we have stayed in. Nothing wrong with anything. Matt even had a drink with us one night and very entertaining he was too. Could not have wished for better accommodation, facilities or hosts. Loved the chickens too. Can’t wait until next time

The cottage did not fail to impress, it was everything advertised and more!

We spent a fantastic week, with family coming to stay, so some if the week there were 6 adults, but plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub over looking the fields was a fantastic bonus, which was used every day. Mark and Matt are extremely accomdating! There is a lovely pub within walking distance, which serves great reasonably priced food and supermarkets a 5 minute drive away! All in all not one negative, only positives!!

Amazing 3 nights stay at manor barn views of fields no noise just fresh air and amazing hot tub which we played music off our phones through the hot tub system, brilliant barn conversion with nice wood burning fire big kitchen and lovely bed rooms owners very nice welcoming we will go back again in the future definitely recommend to family and friends

Beautiful spotlessly clean barn in a quiet, scenic location.

The quality of detail that the owners have gone to with the finish on the property, hot tub, luxury towels and beautiful furniture, exceeded our expectations! As did their hospitality, allowing us to order shopping for our stay and putting it away for our arrival!! Perfect for quiet relaxation or a busy week of activities such as Go Ape, Alton Towers and Monkey Forest near by! We will be back soon!

The barn is very well equipped - Matt & Mark have literally thought about every last detail! They made us feel very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed being greeted by the chickens and Gina daily! Chilling in the hot tub was a must everyday! What a treat!! A lovely week enjoyed by all...we will definitely be visiting again!!

Our stay at Manor Barn was lovely.

The cottage is amazing, everything has been thought of and the cottage is very well equipped. The cottage has plenty of space and is very comfortable. The hot tub is very relaxing and the views from it were great. We loved the chickens who ran to see us every morning. Matt and a Mark are great hosts, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A very good base with lots of places to visit, Alton towers is about a 30 minute drive and Chester zoo about an hour away, also Trentham monkey forest and the wildlife park are well worth a visit. Lots of nice pubs to dine in around the area.. We will definitely be staying here again.

What can we say, we loved the accomodation.

The cottage was very well presented, and thought out. It has been finished to a high standard, and they even ensured our childrens safety, with a iron fence around the garden, and handmade stairgates inside. All the utencils and bedding was of a high standard, i loved spending time in the kitchen. Mark and Matt were extremenly friendly, and on hand if we had any concerns. They shared local knowlegde of events with us, making us feel very welsome. It was nice to be shown around a property on arrival, where we were shown how everything works, including the hot tub. The hot tub was maintained to a high standard, and they kept us informed of when they were cleaning it. I cant wait to come back again.

We knew it would be really good but it still exceeded our expectations.

We had a very full week with, I think only one "quiet night" The hot tub was put to full use and was enjoyed by all. Mark and Matthew made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble We were impressed by the standard of the accommodation and slept well in the very comfortable bedrooms An unexpected bonus was enjoying a few spectacular starry nights that you just don't see in urban areas with light pollution. The location is excellent with many places to visit in the area. Eating out is well catered for with one pub within walking distance and several others within a short drive. We had a superb week and couldn't have wished for more

Our third year booking a Sykes cottage and this one exceeded all the previous ones We always look for a modern property,hot tub facility and privacy.

Everything we wanted and more was met with the Accommodation. I would recommend this property to anyone. The hosts were lovely chatted to us and we're very approachable yet didn't impose, the perfect balance!

Absolutely stunning barn conversion.

Beautiful attention to detail with decor and facilities. Hot tub is simply amazing it really does add a unique experience to your holiday. We would highly recommend staying here and would love to return. Mark and Matt are the perfect hosts. Lots to do in area and fab places to eat nearby. One pub is just 5 min walk away. Overall the only bad thing is having to leave to return to the real world as we really did feel totally relaxed and ultra chilled out whilst recharging our batteries. 5 stars all the way from us Sarah and Ian

The attention to detail in all aspects is outstanding. Relaxing in the hot tub or by the log fire with not a sound around you is so chilling. If you like quality and are willing to respect it then this is the place for you.

The owners have created a stunning place to get away from it all and really have thought of everything. The decor and furnishings are luxurious and homely at the same time.
