Love Bird

Lovely cosy cottage - clean and warm and had everything we needed including a dishwasher and big hd tv.

One of several cottages at Bakewell retreats haddon grove; all nice old converted farm buildings out in the countryside 10 mins from Bakewell. There's a large indoor heated pool with viewing gallery/game room and plenty of other facilities (laundry, boot room etc). These were all clean and well cared for. In late march it was quiet and we had the pool to ourselves every time we wanted it. The cottage has a huge bathroom with large separate bath and shower, and underfloor heating. As another review mentioned, the doorway between the bathroom and the bedroom only has a curtain - no door. The WiFi was also intermittent and only worked in the living room, and for the last 3 days our phones couldn't connect to it at all (but laptops could). This wasn't a massive issue for us but may be for others.

Well equipped and mostly clean accommodation - watching normal TV channels is a bit of a hassle and there are some high level cobwebs present.

.. Location is good with some walks available from the door via a field path over the road. Two negatives: firstly no welcome pack whatsoever is disappointing - would have much preferred a pint of milk to the Halloween decorations outside! And the lack of a door on the bathroom (accessed directly from the bedroom) is unpleasant - a curtain is insufficient!
