The cottage

This beautiful detached barn conversion is situated on a non-working farm in the pretty countryside, close to the village of Longnor in the Peak District National Park.

With its elevated position, this cottage boasts stunning views of the surrounding countryside, providing an ideal romantic retreat for couples seeking to get away from it all.

This delightful cottage features original exposed beams with contemporary styled décor.

The comfortable first floor double bedroom is tastefully decorated and the modern first floor bathroom is beautifully designed with wood panelling and a period roll-top bath.

The spacious ground floor living area features a well-equipped kitchen/diner and a cosy sitting room.

Outside is a decked area with furniture, creating the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting after a busy day of outdoor activities.

You can also try a little bird spotting from the abundant wildlife this rural landscape has to offer.

The owners produce an award-winning Stilton, so there’s sure to be a treat waiting for you!

The bustling village of Longnor is just 2 miles away from your Peak District cottage, offering a cobbled market place and an array of shops and real ale pubs, whilst a little further away is the pretty village of Hartington set around a quaint duck pond with some very interesting shops and inns for you to explore.

Longnor nestles between the Dove and Manifold valleys and provides an excellent starting point for many walks, whether it’s a ramble by the river or for a more challenging walk, there are some serious upland treks.

Also, the Tissington Trail is a great cycle route with stunning scenery.

The spa town of Buxton and the market town of Bakewell are within easy reach, so there’s plenty to see and do from this romantic cottage whenever you choose to go.
