Wow, what an amazing place cedar holme is.

A very warm welcome from the owners, Simon and Dave made us feel at ease from first arriving. The accommodation was perfect, very clean and tidy the beds were so comfortable as was the living room furniture. Everything we needed and more was provided for us,( the biscuits especially) amazing views and plenty of walks straight from the door. We will definitely be back to stay here when visiting family in the area. Cedar holme is by far the best place we have ever stayed in.

A fantastic place to stay!

Could not ask for more, it is spotless, extremely comfortable, with everything you need. The hosts are welcoming and a lovely welcome pack was there on our arrival for us and the dog. The kitchen has been carefully thought out for those of us who like to cook, something that you don’t often find. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay. We had the added bonus of enjoying the beauty of the bluebells in the woodland next to the property.

What an amazing Holiday home !

It was perfect in every way . From the Welcome goodies and doggy treats to the beautiful cosy, comfortable and clean home with the most gorgeous views. It has a Wood right next to it which is ideal for the doggies too. Simone and Dave the owners are so welcoming and go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time. I wished I could give higher than a 5 star rating as I think it truly deserves 10 . Loved every minute of our stay and plan to come back in the Autumn . Highly recommend a visit to anyone wanting a fantastic getaway.

Cedar holme was by far the most spotlessly clean holiday home that we have ever stayed in.

Everything that was possibly ly needed was inside the home .We were so surprised with the ample hamper ,lots of Ringtons goodies and doggy treets. The views from cedar holme were spectacular and the local woodland walk and the further walk to Stubbings House were beautiful especially round the fishing lakes .The dogs loved it too x Simone and Dave were lovely, very friendly and helpful ..We are definitely hoping to go back to this beautiful place and I can only apologise for one of my naughty Dalmatians bring a bit verbal xx...Thankyou Simone and Dave

…Cedar Holme is perfection. Spotlessly clean with everything about it of a very high standard and so very warm and comfy even on a dull January day.The treats left for us and our dog were unbelievable and you just couldn’t wish for a more friendly caring couple than Dave and Simone.A very peaceful beautiful lodge in a very friendly village we just cannot wait to rebook for another week of pure luxury.

We have just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday at Ceder Holme.

Simone is such a good host and has put so much care and thought into providing everything you might need in a holiday home. The lodge is in a beautiful area with so many great places to visit within a short driving distance. Our dog was very happy there too. My friend and I both agreed that it was the best place we have stayed in so far.

The property is fantastic and is furnished to a very high standard.

It is well placed for visiting all the main attractions the Peak District has to offer- Matlock, Chatsworth and Bakewell all lie wihin 30 miutes drive. The house itself is in a very quiet location but still in walking distance of local amenities. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to family and friends and would love to return in the future.

This property had every you required to have a lovely holiday, also the personal extras like( milk tea bags coffee orange juice tin of mixed biscuits) even a goody bag for dog, the owners are next door so are on hand if any problems occur, it was a short drive to chesterfield and 15mins drive to Matlock, there is a bus stop just down the road, plus a cafe, park and shop, and there is a fish and chip shop 10 mins drive.

Exceptionally clean, furnishings and equipment well above basic, comfortable bed. Very pleasant community. Good base. Owner friendly and helpful if needed.

A truly 5* stay.

A very generous welcome pack including lots a treats for us and our dog. Extremely clean. Very comfortable mattresses, thick bath sheets instead of thin small bath towels as are usually provided. Plenty of storage space and hooks for jackets. Lovely matching crockery, in fact we couldn't find fault at all. We had a lovely pub lunch in the Barley Mow inn, in the village. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Impossible to give Cedar Holme anything but 5 stars: A beautiful location under the edge of mature woodland, perfect for a week of relaxation with shops and excellent walks close at hand.

The property is well laid out with a large garden for our dog to explore, ample parking and is immaculately clean, add to this the fact that the owner had thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible including lots of treats for us and our dog! We will definitely be returning.

We have just stayed at Cedar Holme for nearly 3 weeks, whilst having some work done at home.

Simone and Dave made us very welcome, the cottage was spotless and really well equipped, and Simone provided an enormous array of lovely treats, as well as tea, coffee, milk and orange juice - very much appreciated. There was even a bag of treats for our dog! The cottage is situated in a quiet and peaceful spot, with fabulous views across open fields at the back. Thanks again Simone, and thanks also to Debbie for cleaning the cottage during our stay.

We spent the xmas week here seeking peace and tranquility and that is just what we got!

It was a beautiful lodge, well appointed with everything we needed and more, Simone had decorated it for xmas which made it extra special, with a lovely welcome tray with biscuits/chocolates/chutney. There was milk and ornage juice in the fridge and lots of tea and coffee, and even xmas stocking for our dog Bobby. Location was perfect for us, we would definitely stay again. It made our xmas just what the doctor ordered after a tough year healthwise. Thank you to Simone & Dave who were lovely friendly hosts. Highly recommended!

Really high quality accommodation and great location - we stayed in Dec so didn’t want to be in the middle of nowhere, Wingerworth very handy for shops, pubs and park for the dog.

Simone provided milk, orange juice, tea, coffee, bottled water, plus a lovely welcome pack and treats for Cocoa too! Thoughtful touches throughout the property, (Xmas tree too). Lovely views across to Chesterfield. Honestly I can’t see how anyone could be disappointed with Cedar Holme.

Had everything we needed for our break & the welcome packs for both us & our dog were much appreciated. Stunning views & local shop, park and pub within 10-15 minute walk. Bus stop on main road outside property should you wish to leave car behind. Definitely be visiting again.

The best holiday cottage in England and fantastic Host.

We had an enjoyable holiday at Cedar Lodge, it was immaculate and very well equipped with everything you could need.

There was also a very generous welcome pack much more than we have received at previous properties, also one for the dog. There was a lovely view from the lawn across the fields to Chesterfield and the nearby wood was very good for walking the dog.The owner Simone was very pleasant and helpful, no one could really ask for more.

Cedar Holme is a delightful cottage in a very peaceful area.

The interior is surprisingly large and tastefully furnished. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything in it you would have expected.

This cottage is home from home, every facility you could wish for.

It is extremely clean & comfortable. The owner is very welcoming and the little extras a treat. (Except for the waistline). It’s elevated position gives scenic views over Chesterfield and convenient for us visiting family with easy to the Peak District.. We will be back!

Lovely cottage, we’ve stayed several times and are always impressed by the cleanliness and good quality of everything inside.

Comfy beds, the cottage is warm and cosy and a friendly owner who lives nearby. The location is good for Chatsworth and surrounding areas. Nearby are a local village shop, pubs with good food and a local chippie!

A perfect cottage for a relaxed week away.

Warm and cosy, the cottage has everything you need and more. The huge park minutes down the road was perfect for our morning dog walks. It is the best equipped cottage we have stayed at. Also most generous welcome pack, by far- dog treats really appreciated by Lucy the cocker spaniel. The stunning scenery was beautiful even in the rain, we were only sorry it was such a short stay. We will certainly return and stay longer next time. The accommodation was immaculate and clean. There was plenty of storage areas and the bed and settee were very comfortable, (fantastic nights sleep). Lovely gardens outside and beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. There are lovely walks close by to woods, park, children's play area and nearby lake and pond. The cottage is ideally situated to visit local area particularly enjoyed our visit to Bakewell town and Chatsworth House.

Cedar Holme is very well equipped, very comfortable well situated and is an excellent place to stay to explore the area.

This was our first visit to Cedar Holme and I can only describe it a superb.

The property is all on one floor which was important as one of our party was my 90 year old mother. Cedar Home is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very well situated. The owner, Simone, made us very welcome and supplied us with a superb welcome package for us and Maggie our German Shepherd. I can personally recommend anybody thinking of visiting the area that Cedar Holme will make a perfect base.

This Cottage is Home from home and done to a very high standard.

Every need is catered for and the view over Chesterfield a delight. The greeting from the owner was warm & friendly and the welcome pack much appreciated. We had family in Chesterfield and they were nearby, which was great as we did not have transport. There is a bus stop opposite and a shop just down the road. We had a wonderful week with family and would definitely stay in this wonderful cottage again.

Cedar Holme is an ideal property for a short or long stay.

Simone is an excellent host. The property is very well equipped with lovely china, cutlery and cooking aids. The beds are very comfortable and the furnishings make you feel at home. The welcome pack provides all you need for your first night and you are spoilt by the views. Altogether, Cedar Holme provides an excellent holiday venue.

This is our fourth stay at Cedar Holme, it’s spotlessly clean and comfortable even though it’s also dog friendly.

The owner is very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The location is a short drive from the Peaks, Chatsworth and lots of good walks. We’ll be back!

The cottage is amazing and on top of hill so view across farm land is beautiful.

However, it is also well positioned for Chesterfield and the Peak District. The owners are so kind, welcoming and friendly it feels like your going to visit friends. I made a suggestion first time I visited that would help me as I'm disabled. The next time, I visited it had been implemented and helps me and disabled or the older person. Nothing is too much effort. Thank you to them for their assistance.

Came away as a birthday treat and we have all had a wonderfully relaxing time, weather has not been the best but we have still managed some nice walks in the locality.

Have eaten out twice, firstly at The Smithy Pond, we also ate at the Barley Mow which were both very nice. Cedar Holme is a lovely cottage with character and in a lovely position ( would be just great in summer). Everything you may need is provided by the owner Simone with her lovely boy Lewis. Perfect property in a perfect location.

We were supplied with everything we could possibly need and more, rooms were spotlessly clean and we were made to feel very welcome. Such a peaceful place to get away for a few days and relax. It was really nice being able to watch the fireworks over chesterfield from the comfort of the property, the view was amazing! Hoping to be back very soon. Many thanks :) x

Spotless, convenient base to explore. Quiet and peaceful. Fully equipped. We received a welcome pack which was lovely - Christmas themed. I'd give it a 5 plus.

This is the 2nd time stopping at this beautiful cottage.

It is comfortable clean and has beautiful views across the valley. The people are extremely friendly and helpful which makes you feel very welcome. As I'm disabled I suggested a grab rail in the shower & I was so pleased they had installed one since our last visit so proves feedback helps us as well as them. Will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay in a brilliantly secluded and quiet setting (apart from the owls in the evening which we loved!

) Very peaceful break, and our puppy loved exploring the woods nearby. Lots of great day trips accesible from Cedar Holme as a hub. We cannot recommend the nearby Figaro highly enough for fellow vegan / veggie guests. Hunloke arms also has lots of great options and HUGE, delicious pizzas. The cottage had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. We were very sad to leave!

Lovely comfortable stay.

Ideal for our plans to visit Chatsworth House and the tram museum. Only there for three nights but would stay longer another time. Added benefit was the stunning views. Everything you could need is provided and the generous welcome pack was appreciated. Maybe some stronger hooks on doors to hang towels, didn't want to chance the plastic ones..... minor, minor concern!

A newly refitted holiday let which is kept in very good order providing all that is needed for a comfortable stay.

In addition the helpful owner is most welcoming to both guests and dogs.

What a little gem, so clean & tidy with everything you need to make your stay very enjoyable.

We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. The welcome basket not only had treats for us but also for our dog. The natural beauty around the property was fantastic with a woods next door & a wonderful park just 5 minutes up the road. The property is only 30/ 40 minutes drive from Matlock & most places of interest were around 45 minutes which makes it an ideal place to stay. 5* all around.

Exceptional facilities, fantastic near new equipment throughout, all near new tasteful furnishings and extremely clean too, even better than the photos.

The Property owner next door could not be more friendly and helpful. The property had great views across the valley to the rear and of local the wildlife, furthermore all local attractions were easily accessible. A definite re-visit.

This was a most excellent property.

Very clean, tidy and containing all you needed for an enjoyable stay. Very comfortable beds, lovely furnishings and plenty of pots, pans crockery and cutlery. Cedar Holme was lovely and warm too! Simone, our host went out of her way to make us welcome and was also welcoming of our little dog As a bonus the views are exceptional! A thoroughly enjoyable property, can't wait to return!

K. Cedar Holme is one of only a handful of outstanding properties in which we have stayed. The accommodation is cleaned and maintained to an excellent standard. The welcome was warm in every sense given Storm Eunice was blowing . Beds and lounge furniture are extremely comfortable . A well appointed dining area and kitchen were appreciated. Our dog was welcome with a wood and park nearby. We were very much struck by the friendliness of Simone. A five star rating please. Sue and Colin

Lovely property, lovely location and lovely host.

Simone greeted us on arrival and was so helpful, essentials were provided (including dog treats which went down very well!) and the property had everything we needed. All in, an excellent stay.

This recently renovated house is spacious and very clean and comfortable.

It has been furnished to a high standard and is very well equipped. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing week exploring the nearby Peak District and also the very friendly village of Wingerworth which boasts two very nice pubs, both of which are in walking distance of Cedar Holme. The owner made us feel very welcome and the welcome baskets for both humans and dogs were over and above any we’d received in previous properties. We would definitely recommend Cedar Holme as it is so comfortable and well located.

There is everything you need, Host very welcoming and friendly. The house was extremely clean and well equipped. The owner has created a home away from home at the lodge.

She was very helpful in all sorts of ways and the lodge is easily the best of the dozen or so cottages we have used in the past nine years. The only thing that would have made it better for us oldies would have been footstools in the lounge and hooks behind the bedroom doors.

The holiday cottage was very clean and comfortable with all modern appliances.

There was a lovely welcome pack for us and we enjoyed the kindness of the owners. The cottage is surrounded by trees and fields, therefore a great place to relax.

We rated our stay as 5 star but your system did not allow it.

The host made us feel very welcome and at home in the property. The views over the fields and of Chesterfield in the distance are amazing and such a great place for your morning cuppa while you plan where to explore in the area. We wished that we had booked here for longer and it is somewhere that if we need to stay near the Peak District we would not hesitate to look to see if Cedar Cottage is available. Very nice holiday home.

The owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful. It's a very clean home with the beautiful views. There are places to visit nearby like Heights of Abraham, Gulliver's land where we went with our 8 and 2 year old. I would highly recommend this home.
