Willow Brook

The booking was to celebrate our best friends 60th Birthday the property was amazing.

Better than the photographs seen before we arrived. The home caters well for two families giving lots of space to use. The table tennis room was a massive plus, along with the outside BBQ and seating area. The kitchen was the best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in. The owners were really helpful and accommodating with nothing being too much trouble. We left all saying we can't wait to return. Thank you so much Jen and Paul for a beautiful holiday home.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Willow Brook.

The pictures don't do it justice: a fabulous house, maintained to a high standard, with lots of different spaces for big groups to relax. Jen's communication and hospitality were wonderful throughout. Would thoroughly recommend.

The property was really lovely, big & spacious, exactly as advertised, with lots of garden space and outdoor seating available.

All the bedrooms were different and individual which we liked very much. The property, under the bedding and towels, were all spotlessly clean.

Fantastic house that was perfect for our get together with friends.

Kitchen and dining space plenty big enough for our large group and loads of chilling/living space. Bedrooms and huge with comfy beds and the ensuites much appreciated. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't get to use the outdoor space much but we did spot a heron by the water. Short walk to plenty of nice pubs and restaurants too.

A lovely space for our family gathering - plenty of room for everyone and we particularly enjoyed the table tennis and garden patio area.

We had a wonderful stay in Glossop.

The location was excellent, and the house was perfect for our large family gathering. The host was quick to respond and resolve an issue with the hot water, which was much appreciated. We were very impressed overall and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful house with everything that you need.

The bedrooms are all a good size. A family of 12 stayed here and we all had enough room and space. The kids especially loved the table tennis. It is only a 5 min walk from the Main Street with shops and pubs. We would all love to stay here again

The house is absolutely beautiful and felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. It had everything we needed, with all the essentials thoughtfully provided. The space was lovely and comfortable, perfect for spending time together, and the kitchen and bathrooms were particularly wonderful — clean, well-equipped, and a real pleasure to use. We would happily stay again and would highly recommend it to others

The space was fantastic and kids loved having their own lounge with table tennis. Beds were comfy and all felt lovely and clean.

Superb house.

Probably the best equipped we have ever had. Excellent position on the outskirts of Glossop with good views to the local hills. 10 minute walk to the centre of town.

We got together as a group of six couples and the house was perfect for us.

I’ve already booked for us to go back next year. Lots of space for people to either sit together or in smaller groups. We could all sit in the main lounge together on the HUGE sofa with the fire lit which was lovely. We did spend a lot of time in the kitchen/dining room which again seated us all comfortably. Thank you!

We had an absolutely brilliant weekend in this beautiful, tastefully decorated property.

It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped with everything we needed and exceptionally comfortable. It felt very spacious even with 11 adults staying, as there were several areas that you were able to relax in, as well as a well kept outdoor area and garden. We would definitely consider staying again.

We loved our stay at Willow Brook - the house is beautiful and very comfortable, and it made a fantastic base for a family holiday.

Glossop is lovely too - beautiful walks from the front door, and everyone we met in town was so friendly! Highly recommended.

It was everything we expected and more. The outdoor spaces were magnificent. Wish we had more time to stay. Great for a family reunion or other gathering of multiple families. Impeccably prepared and completely equipped! Most highly recommend

House was great - perfect for our family stay.

Very clean, spacious and well furnished. The ping pong table was a great addition to the stay and was enjoyed by all ages. Not much in Glossop but was a great base to explore the Peak district. Found nice dog friendly pub on the high street - Norfolk Arms with good choice of pub grub. Had small issue with one of the showers and owner was very responsive and offered to come straight away to correct.

. Absolutely perfect for everyone. Including the 2 dogs. It is the first time we have managed to get away as a family, it was so lovely and homely with plenty of space not to be on top of each other . Thoroughly recommend

We had a wonderful New Year at Willow Brook.

The house is very impressive when you enter and furnished to a very high standard. The kitchen is very well equip with coffee machine, oven, microwave and a huge fridge freezer with ice making machine. Every one of the bedrooms and en-suites were immaculate. It is in a great location for a short walk into town. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend 10/10

An adult group of 10 +1 four legged friend, arrived at this property, and it was perfect for what we needed.

Plenty of room for us all to sit, chat and relax in the kitchen/dining area, where we spent most of the time!! All bedrooms were impressive in their size and comfort. The bath was perfect for a good relaxing soak after a long walk! We couldn't have asked for more. Very happy, and we would all stay here again

We liked the property which, in general, is in a good and quiet location and with good facilities, fixtures and fittings and we did enjoy our stay.

However, whilst it could so easily be transformed into a five star gold category, we can only award it four stars due to a variety of minor issues. These include cleaning (a dirty toilet, dirty mattress protectors and dog mess in the garden), maintenance (e.g. non-working heating in several bedrooms and bathrooms, non-working TV in one bedroom, loose shower door handle), lack of basic facilities and materials (e.g. no tray/shelf for soap/shampoo in some showers, soap or shampoo was not supplied in all bathrooms, no washing up brush / pan scourer, no ball for the table football machine) and a rather stingy welcome pack. It is also the first time that I have been requested to strip the bedding before leaving a rental property. A more major feature is the severe creaking from floorboards and staircase - enough to awaken guests. Most of the items listed could be easily, quickly and cheaply rectified and so allow the property to be fully rated as five star gold.

Superbly well equipped in a quiet location in cul de sac and close to shops - this cottage exceeded our ( high) expectations Ideal Peak district base for our family holiday which included 8 adults 3 young children and a Labrador.

A beautiful house in a wonderful location.

There were 6 adults in our party and for us all to get our own rooms, with plenty of facilities, to such a high standard was amazing. We're certainly keen to revisit Willow Brook in the future.

We had a large family gathering and it was a perfect venue.

We had a couple of problems resulting from the change in the internet supplier but they were quickly resolved.

This gorgeous property has everything you need for a comfortable weekend away.

A peaceful location. There was plenty of room for 12 adults with two lounge areas and a third seating area in the kitchen diner which meant we had lots of space to relax, socialise etc. The balcony on the one bedroom was fantastic, and the sound of the water from the nearby stream was so relaxing (with great views out of the bedrooms). The ping pong table was appreciated by all! Plenty of room for cars on the drive. Overall a fab stay.

A lovely house with comfortable beds and everything provided that you need.

We had a lovely stay with friends and our dog at willow bank. A nice welcome basket and prompt replies from the owners to our queries. Would definitely recommend.

Willow Brook was everything it said it was on the website.

A beautiful house with more than ample space and facilities for the 8 adults, 3 children and the dog in our party. We could also park our 4 cars on the secure driveway too. A lovely welcome pack of edibles was waiting for us in the kitchen alongside some treats for the dog. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine in the kitchen, with a number of pods provided, which I don’t think was actually specified in the details. The only thing I think that perhaps could be improved would be the size and quality of the bathroom towels provided. Apart from that minor detail everything else was perfect and I would definitely stay here again.

A spacious, well appointed holiday let on the edge of the Pennines.

Perfect for large family gatherings and get togethers.

Very spacious and comfortable house with everything we needed to enjoy almost a whole week in the rain.

All bedrooms are large and the beds really comfortable. Best weeks sleep I've had in a long time. Table tennis tournaments was a great laugh with some taking it more serious than others. Very nice area with very friendly locals.

Excellent property, had a family Christmas, everyone had a great time.

Would really recommend to any groups, two large separate living rooms and a great open plan area for dining. Would also add the owners were brilliant, nice touches for Christmas plus answered any questions quickly and nothing seemed too much trouble. Good location, ten minutes walk to Glossop centre.

Lovely house for a big group to share-and very comfortable - the garden with the stream is lovely , but not safe to let kids or dogs out as stream is fast running and not fenced off.

The table tennis was great and we used it alot- it would have been fetter if the table football was downstairs rather than in a bedroom. Overall I would recommend as so comfy for a big group

We had a lovely weekend away.

The property was spacious and comfortable and we all enjoyed sitting round the table together. We particularly liked the big bath and the large beds. We all enjoyed playing Pooh sticks on the bridge just round the corner. We had a couple of concerns about safety to let you know about- the black railings outside on the decking are loose. One of our party nearly fell over as he lent on them. Some of the kitchen knives are in need of replacement. One has its tip missing. Another broke as I was using it. The blade snapped and flew off the handle. We were lucky it didn’t hurt anyone as there were children sitting at the breakfast bar at the time. We’ve left these knives on the windowsill. We also ran out of toilet rolls- there were a few half rolls in one of the bathrooms. But I think 2 or 3 rolls per bathroom would be reasonable to expect. Thank you for a lovely stay.

There was 12 off us and a dog . Plenty of room , beds were comfortable and big , kitchen big and well stocked with everything you need . Gardens great . Couldn't fault this property to stay in .

The house was beautiful and perfect size for our group. The rooms were all spacious and maintained well. Paul and Jen were always available when we wanted to ask a question and went the extra mile by even welcoming us with some treats. We plan to definately visit this house in the future and hope to make many more memorable moments. All the best!!

Beautifully appointed house immaculately clean with so much space for our family get together and coronation celebrations.

Willow Brook has best ‘kitchen equipment’ supplies we have ever seen in an holiday home, everything we needed and more. I (incorrectly) thought there was a problem with something, had to contact Paul who went above and beyond in trying to sort it out and was most gracious when I rang back to apologise for my mistake. If you want a property with lots of room, well equipped and in easy reach of local facilities I would not hesitate to recommend.

House was in a great location for walking and going into town for restaurants and shops.

Good accommodation for 11 people and two dogs. Sky TV wasn't available. Some beds old and uncomfortable. Some quilts and pillows old and stained. Dishwasher didn't work properly. Back door didn't lock. Recycle and waste disposal information was out of date. Several light bulbs not working.

A wonderful place to stay, we really enjoyed it.

We had the whole family there for our 50th wedding anniversary. There was plenty to do for everybody both in the house and in the local area. Some excellent restaurants (although not on Mondays and Tuesdays - but then there's a Weatherspoons in town). The heating system took a bit of getting used to but it wasn't a problem. Altogether an excellent place to stay

This was our second visit to Willow Brook and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting the area and needs a bigger property.

Very clean, welcoming and the added extra meant we didn’t think twice about booking it a second time. More than a home from home and this visit we had five generations and all catered for

The property was amazing.

The facilities and the spacious rooms allowed us to have a wonderful Christmas.

In the kitchen.

2 or 3 more medium sized saucepans would have been useful (instead of half a dozen frying pans). Also the gas hob seemed to have a mind of its own, and was often difficult to light, especially after it had been used and you wanted to relight it. This applied to all the rings. (The ring would ignite but go out when the knob was released) Not sure what can be done about it, but the creaking from the flooring in the 2nd floor bedrooms, is excessively load when heard from the bedrooms below. Guests walking about in the top floor rooms sound as though they’re in the room with you during the early hours. Finally, it would be helpful to change the bag in the vacuum cleaner in the utility room (Henry) We used this several times and the smell from the collection of pet hair is overpowering. Apart from these minor criticisms, we had a most enjoyable stay, and the property is ideal for family celebrations.

We have shared with the owners an area on the patio re railings, which need attention.

Otherwise very comfortable close to Glossop, and well Presented property for families. Good facilities

Excellent property, with facilities that catered for everyone's needs.

The only minor issue was the recycling dustbin was already full when we arrived and needs to be emptied weekly or double in its capacity.

Amazing house and the best weekend ever!

Bedrooms were spacious and super comfortable and clean. Plenty of space for games and everyone to just relax and do their own things. Location is perfect little walk into town centre.

A family of 11 including one baby and ranging in ages from 1 - 59 plus two dogs. The house is extremely comfortable with ample room for everyone to have their own space or congregate together. The kitchen / dining area is set up perfectly to all eat and cook together but the star of the show for us was the table tennis room. Thank you for allowing us a weekend of eating, drinking, singing dancing and making memories. Quick and efficient communication from owner and the single only con we could think of is that there was no pepper!

Three generations well accommodated in this lovely big house for a delayed 70th birthday celebration - lots of space for games including hide and seek! Excellent kitchen/diner for sharing family meals. Very clean - one small complaint- large bed on top floor hard and uncomfortable. Would definitely return.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Willow Brook to celebrate a family 60th Birthday Party.

The Pool table was fantastic, all rooms very spacious, the property was extremely clean and tidy.

Plenty of room for all of us to enjoy time together! Lovely selection of rooms, very cosy and lovely decor! We are already planning our next visit.

We hired this property to celebrate my Father in Laws 90th birthday, we had 4 generations of the family together.

The property was an excellent base for us all, catered for all our needs. Immaculate throughout, couldn't have wished for a nicer place. We would very much like to book the property again some time soon.

Lovely open plan kitchen with large dining table & corner sofa to all sit together . All bedrooms very comfortable & large . Very well equipped & we loved the table tennis . The area is lovely & we didn’t have to venture far for lovely walks & Glossop a lovely place , highly recommend

The layout was perfect for our family get together, providing lots of space and different areas to gather in smaller groups or as a whole party. The kitchen was well equipped for a large group and the dining table perfect for 12. Table tennis and table football were well used and enjoyed. Excellent communication with the owner.

Absolutely wonderful house - spotlessly clean, loads of communal space (2 lounges and a huge kitchen/diner/sitting room too).

Bedrooms all beautifully furnished and decorated, kitchen well equipped, appliances clean. We had a couple of minor issues that were quickly addressed (within 10 minutes!) by the owners who were straight round. Great for dogs - ours had a lovely time and we appreciated the little touches of bowls and bags provided, as well as the utility room for drying off muddy paws. We will definitely come again for future extended family gatherings. Might need to practice our table tennis and table football to beat the kids next time!

Willow Brooke was perfect for our stay.

The house is lovely, warm and welcoming and quiet, perfect after a long day of walking. It felt very much like a home. We joked about it being 'the house that kept on giving' as it was so well stocked up with everything we needed to be able to enjoy cooking in the evening. We had brought our own equipment for our homemade pizza night as never expected the kitchen to have a rolling pin, a pizza cutter and pizza stones! We were able to wash and dry dirty clothes easily and collapse into cozy warm beds at night. The owners responded quickly to any questions and responded immediately to a small issue we had with the house. We look forward to going back.

This was an excellent house for our family group of 12 plus baby.

Very spacious and well equipped. The games room with table tennis and table football were well used! The children want us to return next year...which we may well do.

The house is huge!

A great space for a large family group. The bedrooms are spacious & well equipped, as are the kitchen & bathrooms. Very impressed with the owner’s attention to detail in the house: beautiful furniture & furnishings. Easily room for our 3 big cars in the driveway too. Table tennis tournaments in the conservatory were a daily activity for all! Another great space, with a wonderful view of the trees along the stream by the garden. Sitting out on the decking in the evening with the sound of the stream was so relaxing. We didn’t have the best weather unfortunately, but made the most of exploring the area when we did. Despite COVID-19, we were able to enjoy ourselves out and about. We had one meal out at the Hare & Hounds in Simmondley village, only a short distance from Willow Brook. The service and quality of food were excellent and we were impressed with what they had in place rē Track & Trace, social distancing etc. Other than this one occasion, we cooked in or got a takeaway (which all delivered on time too!). All in all a fabulous week spent in the Peak District. Highly recommend a stay there.

The house is beautifully furnished.

We were a reduced group due to the pandemic but even if all 12 people had attended' there were several comfortable places around the house where you could find a quiet place to read. The back patio is a suntrap and even in March we were able to enjoy the outdoors for a few hours. The ping pong table was a great hit with everyone. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the house. Thank you David.

This place is amazing we had a family get together with 8 adults 2 children and one toddler.

(which we all enjoyed)There was more than enough space for us all. The house is situated in a good quiet area but with a lot of things to do just a short drive away.

Lovely House, the property was very clean when we got there and the owners also left some treats, biscuits and chocolates and there was milk in the fridge.

Really great house for 11 friends to get together an annual Christmas celebration.

We chatted that much we didn't even use the ping pong table and most of the time was spent in the fantastic kitchen area. We even requested that Paul sort out the boxing for us on the sky account which he did without issue and we were able to transfer the cost to him. Might be back next year!

Amazing place to stay and a great location for exploring the Peak District.

House was very well equipped making our stay very comfortable. Loved the ping pong table! Highly recommended.

We were a group of 12 - ages from 10 years old up to 89 years old plus 8 month old baby.

Accommodation was excellent, clean and warm, it was so spacious that we did not feel on top of each other, the table tennis was a hit with several nail biting tournaments. Would definitely recommend this lovely house it is even better than in the photos and we all look forward to returning.

The house is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed our weekend celebrating my husbands 40th birthday.

There was lots of room and the kids were thrilled with the table tennis table and football table. There were just a few small things that may help to improve a stay for your future guests.... There were no additional bin bags for when the kitchen bin was full. There was only 1 pint glass which caused an issue amongst the beer drinkers

Needs mirrors by electric plugs to dy your hair properly,and a tv system that you don’t have to watch the same channel in different rooms,( unless we didn’t understand how to do it !

A beautiful spacious house with large rooms and plenty of room for everyone.

The table tennis was a huge hit, as was the football table (thank you for those). Excellent facilities and parking for 4 cars. Very convenient place for walking situated on the outskirts of this lovely Peak District town. All amenities close by. An excellent place to stay.

We had a lovely weekend staying at Willow Brook in Glossop.

The house was clean, there was plenty of space and was in a perfect location for walking in the Peak District. Our only slight recommendation would be for the dishwasher to be improved as it did not seem to clean all the dishes properly. Otherwise a fantastic stay and would love to return again!

Loved it from the moment we walked through the door, beautiful rooms. There were 9 adults and 2 children in our party and we could get lost in the house so much space. Lovely touch milk, coffee, tea and biscuits left out which were very well received after a long journey. Lovely area nice walk to a beautiful park. Very friendly pub just up the road, large Tesco near by. Would we return? in a heart beat.

As a family 12 of us and a Dog visited Willow Brook for a long weekend and had a spectacular time celebrating my Mum's 60th Birthday with the age ranges of 4-85.

Everyone found the house to be welcoming and finished to a high standard with everything we could have needed for our stay. The House is a short 10-minute walk into the centre of Glossop and just a short drive from the motorway. We will certainly bear Willow Brook in mind for future occasions!

The location is great for getting in to Glossop, and although the weather stopped us going out walking, there are lots of walks you can do if the weather is on your side. I would recommend this to anyone! We hope to go back in the future.

.. house was warm, clean and so spacious, didn’t feel crowded at all. Location was perfect, short drive enabled lovely walks. So much to explore definitely will return! Willow Brook is a beautiful house and I congratulate the owner on getting it more than just right.

e. great bedrooms for adults and children, I.T. facilities and Table Tennis a real hit, kitchen layout and fixtures all we could need. House location worked well - the kids could get to Manchester easily and perfect for us to explore Peak District. Key box entry worked really well.

All of the bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The choice of three sitting areas was most welcomed by our family of seven adults, two babies and two dogs ☺️ Brilliant location for exploring surrounding areas.
