Excellent location for the areas we wanted to visit.

The property was spotlessly clean & the hosts were very welcoming & helpful. There was really nothing extra we could have asked for or wanted. In short superb & we would definitely stay there again.

We spent a wonderfully beautiful week during the first week of July at the cottage of Sarah & Andrew.

The cottage is superbly equipped, incredibly clean, and had everything we needed. We felt very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The garden is a dream. Enjoying our first coffee outside in the morning or being able to sit in the garden after a day of bouldering or hiking was delightful. The garden is fenced, which is fantastic. Last but not least, our stay was also so great because Sarah and Andrew, and their dog Lotti, are such wonderful people. We found a lovely welcome package (bread, milk, cake, jam, and wine) waiting for us upon arrival. Our conversations with them were always enriching. This accommodation is highly recommended for absolutely everything.

Amazing clean little cottage in a beautiful spot of the peak district.

Pubs, cafes, bakery, farm shop and local SPAR shop within a few minutes walk away. Received a lovely welcome pack on arrival with milk, butter, jam, bread, biscuits, wine included. Will definitely be back again ☺️

Not being folk who often leave reviews we felt we had to for our stay in this lovely cottage.

Amazingly clean and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need, super comfortable we had a very relaxing break away. Perfect quiet location with plenty of places to eat out locally and walks straight from the door. Super dog friendly with a secure garden space too. The Welcome Pack treats were also very much appreciated. Thank you for a fabulous time.

A fabulous cottage in a beautiful location.

It was very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed and more. The owners were very helpful and friendly and the welcome pack was an unexpected bonus. A perfect base for exploring the local area with delicious food to be had at the Old Hall Hotel and the Cheshire Cheese Inn. Would highly recommend.

Warm and welcoming and there is everything you need in the cottage. Very clean and a lovely welcome pack which was greatly appreciated. Great location within walking distance to pubs and cafes. Great hosts who are happy to help out if needed. Definitely recommend staying here.

A very nice place to stay in the Hope valley.

There were 4of us and stayed and family visited for a day also with children, we were made very welcome.

Lovely spacious cottage beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen for cooking and dining.A log fire in lounge ,very cosy lots of room. A lovely welcome pack also. The garden was an added bonus….what views,stunning ,we sat outside a fair bit and were joined by the gorgeous Lottie (dog)

We were very warmly welcomed, all the extras, bread, jam,cookies, wine and bakewell tart were very unexpected. The cottage was sparkling clean and the wood burner was lovely and cosy. I would have no trouble in recommending this cottage for a very cosy and comfortable stay.

This is one of the best cottage’s we have stayed in Great location for hiking shop and 3 pubs in a short walking distance 30 minutes walk to Castleton with 6 pubs in Easy parking and lovely views with gardens seating Nice warm and cozy as we stayed 1st weekend in December just as storm passed over would recommend hill view and will certainly return

Me and my dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the cottage has everything you need and more (the utility room was perfect for storing walking kit and drying wet dog towels).

The owners were extremely welcoming (the welcome pack was unexpected but much appreciated) and Lottie the dog was a sweetheart. I’ll certainly be back and have already recommended the cottage to friends.

Freely shared their dog friendly garden. Very generous welcome gift. Helpful with info on the area. So lovely on chilly days to come back to a warm cottage. Cottage was lovely. Spacious. Very useful room off the kitchen to dry wet towels which had dried a wet dog. Lots of convenient hooks. Would really recommend.

I can not fault this cottage.

The owners provide everything you need, lovely welcome pack, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I call it home from home, but it is probably cleaner than my home!

The property owners were extremely thoughtful and friendly.

They provided milk and butter, a lovely pack of biscuits, locally made bread and honey, a lovely Bakewell tart and a bottle of wine. The property was spotlessly clean and there was a vase of fresh flowers on the table. The garden is beautiful and fully enclosed which meant we could let our dog out safely. The cottage is in a great position only a 5 minute walk from shops and cafes in the lovely village of Hope. I would thoroughly recommend Brinks View. It's one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.

Had a great stay.

Probably the best equipped cottage we have been to and the best welcome pack. It was big enough for 4 adults and a dog and we loved the garden. Would recommend the Curry Cabin which is very close by. We were able to do 2 long walks from the door and others which were close by including Ladybower. Already booked our return visit for next year.

It was warm and very comfortable. Sarah and Andrew are fabulous hosts who have provided everything any guest could need including a tasty and much appreciated welcome pack and beautiful fresh flowers on the dining table. Can not recommend this cottage highly enough.

A quiet back garden with views over fields with sheep, ponies and donkeys. Hope is small, but very convenient with a station and at least 4 places to eat and a good bus service to Castleton, Chatsworth etc. The cottage is very well maintained and very comfortable with everything you could want. Lottie the young lab is lovely. We had a great holiday - thank you. We will be back.

This is a lovely cottage in a perfect location for all the amenities of Hope, nearby Castleton and Hathersage.

The cottage is spotless, with everything you could need for a self catering stay including a welcome hamper and fresh flowers. The only thing I would have changed was the weather so that we could have had chance to enjoy the idyllic garden more. Maybe next time we visit we’ll have better luck in that respect but would definitely recommend Brinks View.

This is a beautifully renovated and fully equipped cottage in a gorgeous part of the country.

It is very comfortable and has every facility you could need, including a welcome pack of local items, a pretty garden and uninterrupted views over the countryside to the rear. The village has a Spar shop, a cafe a restaurant and a couple of pubs plus an easy walk into Castleton. The hosts are welcoming and helpful, and our Golden Retriver loved romping around in the garden with their young Lab, Lottie. A very enjoyable stay.

A wonderful week in Brinks View Cottage.

Brilliant accommodation, everything you could need and always comfortable. It was lovely to know there was a warm house to come back to after a muddy, damp day in the hills. The washing machine was put to good use as well. Andrew and Sarah were great hosts, with Lottie adding to the entertainment, much to Ziggy’s disdain. Certainly somewhere for a return trip, thank you.

Great attention to detail was given in many ways. The welcome treats were a nice gesture. Sarah and Andrew were very welcoming and easily approachable. This is without doubt a Ten out of Ten property.

Nice quiet location great view from the garden. Everything you might need and a lovely welcome pack. Location is perfect for walking. Pub and tea room with good food just a short walk away. 1 mile up the road (Castleton) more pubs and tea. rooms. Definitely going back.

This is a lovely home from home cottage, location is perfect for long walks or just walk into Castleton (2 miles along roadside footpath).

Hope has several nice pubs to eat, we tried the Cheshire Cheese and The Old Hall and couldn’t fault either. Our hosts were very welcoming and left a nice welcome basket in the kitchen for our arrival, butter and milk in the fridge too. We had a great time

Our family of four enjoyed a fantastic half-term break in Brinks View Cottage.

The cottage was quiet, clean, warm and very well equipped and provided a perfect base for exploring the local area. Local amenities - shop, restaurant and pub - were less than five minutes walk from the front door, while there were an abundance of hill walks within easy reach of the cottage. (Ascending Win Hill through morning mist to glorious sunshine at the summit was a real highlight). The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and were always on hand for local information or advice. We would thoroughly recommend Brinks View Cottage!

Such a perfect cottage, in excellent village.

Everything in cottage was of a high standard, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Beds and linens very good. Welcome treats went beyond the usual tea coffee and biscuits and greatly enjoyed. Can also buy some from local deli over the road. Andy and Sarah have thought of everything , also very helpful even to the extreme of climbing up on the roof as TV signal dropped out. Garden lovely to sit out in which we did manage a few lunch times as the early October weather was so warm. Ideally situated for local walks, into Castleton, Peverill castle. Further afield plenty of interesting places to visit. Local pub Cheshire Cheese just 15 min walk serves very good food and beer. We would certainly return.

Brinks Cottage is an absolutely beautiful place to stay.

Well situated for the local crags, which was our reason for staying there. Only a short distance to Sheffield. The property had everything we needed and more. The owners had thought of everything. Beautiful gardens, and the view from the upstairs double bedroom was amazing. We were made so welcome, and a lovely welcome basket and flowers on arrival. We will definitely be booking to come back. Must not forget Ellie, the owners dog. What a joy when she visited us daily.

It is with some ease, that I can say well done to our hosts.

The cottage was one of the best presented we have experienced, it was very clean, and welcoming. There was a bonus of a super garden, many areas giving views and sounds of the area. On arrival we found a very generous welcoming basket. Cake bread butter coffee and a nice wine. Every kitchen aid, every plate and crock. Double amounts so as to facilitate the dish washer. Our 3 year old grandson was at home and safe, it became Nanny and Grandads cottage. Donkey, ducks, horses, chickens, cat and Ellie the lab, all there or not; whichever you chose. Great beds, and furniture bought for purpose, not old from another sources. Good location for much, and easy to find. Thank you for the stay. (Two grandparents, Daughter and grandson, with pop in from son and partner).

The owners were delightful and provided us with a wonderful welcome package as well as having kitchen equipment that went well beyond the normal rental experience.

The cottage was extremely clean and well equipped. It was a little tight for four adults and a dog, but we enjoyed our stay very much. The Peak District is great for hiking!

3 nights definitely wasn’t enough at this lovely cottage.

So homely and comfortable . Great walks from the doorstep and short drives to lots of places of interest. Derwent dam and lady bower reservoir well worth a visit. The little book of walks in the cottage is easy to understand and has some great local walks. The cottage has everything you need with a secure pretty garden and donkeys in the field at the bottom. The owners were very welcoming and Freddie has missed Ellie today . Will definitely be keeping this cottage on my favourites list.

Brinks View cottage was just lovely.

It was of a very high standard and had everything we needed. A lovely welcome basket was left by the thoughtful owners, who were on hand if we had any questions, and gave some recommendations for local places to eat. The garden was peaceful and we had a very relaxing time. We reluctantly packed to leave for home but would absolutely return if we were travelling to the area again.

The hoste Andrew and sara were fantastic couldn’t do enough for us ,the house was furnished to a very high standard , beautifully decorated through out it was very clean ,they had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable ,the garden was perfect for relaxing in after a day out ,and was a perfect base to explore the area , we would highly recommend this property and wouldn’t hesitate to go again

The owners, who live adjacent to the cottage, are welcoming and helpful. The location, for anyone who enjoys walking, is ideal, with lots of walks from the door or from start points within 30 minutes drive. The area offers beautiful scenery with extensive, panoramic views from the higher ground. The cottage is very conveniently located within the village for shops, pubs and the other amenities on offer. Highly recommended.

Cottage was lovely, had everything we needed and more, the welcome basket of goodies was also superb.

To be able to have off road parking, secure bike storage and an outside area to sit and enjoy the sunshine was an absolute delight. We will be coming back, just need to find a time when the cottage is free and we can get back to Derbyshire.

Whilst I am happy to let the owners know, and to help their business by encouraging others to visit, I am also hesitant a little as I don't want them to be so fully booked up that I can't get booked in the next time I want to visit!

Brinks View Cottage is a gem!

The owners Sarah and Andrew know exactly how to present the property. It is always spotless, and provides everything that one could wish for in a holiday cottage. They are so thoughtful and kind. It spoils you for any other holiday property. One can only be disappointed going to a different property. The number of return visitors shows how much people appreciate all that is on offer here.

House was very clean and beautifully decorated. Lovely, unexpected, welcome basket. Beautiful, enclosed garden with lovely views at the back. Location wise, exactly where we wanted to be, a mile or so from Castleton and the cottage was very easy to find. Faultless : )

Hope is a lovely village and Brinks a great place to stay.

Plenty of places to eat just a stones throw from cottage and very well equipped Spar for when you want to eat in. Best takeaway Indian we have ever had from restaurant in village. The cottage was modern, very clean and owners had thought of everything we might need. Our dog was made very welcome and we were encouraged to use the owners lovely garden. Outside areas to sit and chill after a day's walking and all completely dog proof so not having to constantly watch. Don't be put off by cottage being on main road between Hope and Castleton, we found it very quiet and also having the owners next door was absolutely fine, there if you wanted anything but left us alone too, perfect hosts. Having stayed in many holiday cottages over the years I've concluded that the owners who clean and maintain their own cottages do a far better job than anyone employed to clean. All in all a fab week and highly recommend. We hope to return to Hope and Brinks.

The house is lovely, very well equipped (we didn't need to bring anything except our personal belongings) and very comfortable.

The garden is beautiful and peaceful, with a table and chairs you can sit out and have meals at. Andy and Sarah Sedgwick are very welcoming and friendly, always ready to have a chat and recommend walks, visits and places to eat. this waas our second visit, but won't be our last!

Beautiful little cottage, very cosy and stylishly decorated.

Very well-equipped kitchen and the welcome pack and Easter treats were lovely! Super friendly owners and a lovely Labrador to fuss too. Really enjoyed our stay and would book again if we return to Hope.

Beautiful cosy cottage, with a well eqiupped kitchen, which included a welcome pack. Owners live next door, extremely lovely people, with nothing too much trouble, they are truly there to help you. Shops, cafes and local pubs all within few minutes walk. This cottage is an ideal base to walk and sightsee around the Hope Valley area. You must book a stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Great cottage, far better than pictures show.

Very clean and well thought out. Everything is there ready to go, things to wash up with etc. The welcome pack was a pleasant surprise- could relax with a cup of tea and a biscuit before heading out to the shops. Great with a dog- lovely garden to roam about in. One of the best self catering properties I’ve ever stayed in.

It's a quiet cottage - apart from the donkey and the cockerel!

- well furnished and very well equipped and comfortable. The owners, Andy and Sarah, who share their access and garden with the cottage - are very welcoming and warm. It was very special to have interaction with local people and is highly valued. On the last Sykes holiday we took in July we didn't talk to anyone in the village and we might as well have been somewhere where we didn't speak the language and no-one spoke English!

This is probably the best equipped and cleanest holiday home I have stayed in.

The picture of the outside does not do it justice. The owner is a keen gardener and visitors have access to use the beautiful garden, which has lovely views. We felt like it was a home from home and wanted for absolutely nothing, in fact as I went around the property, I was looking to see if I could find anything missed out that I might need. The only thing I could come up with that would be useful, was a slotted serving spoon! It really was that spot on, that this is all I could come up with.

the owners,Andy and Sarah, are very friendly and welcoming and there were basics provided such as bread, milk, ice in the freezer.

they frequently asked us if there was anything else we needed. the house is very comfortable indeed and the garden is lovely. with the weather being so good, we sat at the garden table and chairs at some part of every day. all together a very relaxing break . overall comment - excellent!

Relatives had stayed before, so we knew what to expect.

The garden was absolutely wonderful, we sat outside every evening owing to the lovely weather. Lovely plants and well maintained, with the donkeys and birds as entertainment!

If you seek a comfortable, well equipped cottage in the centre of a pretty Peak village then this is for you.

Great for walking, dog friendly pubs and helpful owners.

This cottage exceeded my expectations. It is immaculately clean. Has so many extras provided. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquids, tea towels, hand wash in the kitchen and utility room, washing capsules for washing machine. Full size toiletries in the bathroom. A welcome pack sits in the kitchen upon arrival, with bread, honey, biscuits, wine and chocolates. There is butter and milk in the fridge. As well as tea, coffee and sugar (not just little sachets). The garden is beautiful and we were fortunate enough to have good weather and were able to sit out, including having breakfast outdoors. There is a shed for keeping bikes in if you take them. The village of Hope has everything you require. A SPAR open till late and a few other little shops. There are a few lovely pubs which also sell food and an Indian restauraunt/take away as well as a Chinese. The slightly bigger village of Castleton is only a mile away and in daylight can be walked to by a path/field or alternately along the path at the side of the road. The whole area is perfect for walking or cycling and the cottage has maps which can be made use of. Alternately, Andy and Sarah (who own the cottage and live nextdoor, along with their friendly labrador) can give advise and directions. Wonderful short break had Friday - Monday. But also perfect for a longer stay.

Lovely cottage was warm and cosy, immaculate, spacious with a great drying room.

We had access to their lovely long spacious garden with a steam along side it (with access via a gate), even donkeys and of course sheep behind the garden. No noise problems throughout our stay. Lovely polite friendly owners with their beautiful friendly dog Ellie. We travelled by train so was able to drop our bags off before check in which was much appreciated didn't want or need for anything more but felt owners would be extremely helpful if i did. Their welcome basket was very welcoming felt spoilt with their extra touches, thank you. Location is suberb for exploring hope and local areas we went for the walks and scenery which we had plenty of. So much choice for food and drinks as there was pubs, cafes, takeouts, grocers, butchers, baker's,and spar shop all within few minutes walk. Would love to return as still more to explore and would recommend brinks view cottage

A real home from home.

The cottage was warm and comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches that made our stay highly enjoyable. The local maps / walk books were really useful and the DVD choice was excellent for our evening entertainment. Fantastic setting - walks from the door, plenty of food choices. Excellent. The owners were helpful and friendly.

We were very impressed with the standard of accommodation and nice touches like the welcome goodies.

The cottage was lovely and conveniently located near a nice deli shop, coffee shops and pubs. Sarah and Andrew were very hospitable and they go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We also loved the occasional little visits from Ellie the Labrador. We highly recommend this cottage.

Loved this place!

it had everything you could possibly need, washing machine and dryer after muddy walks, dishwasher, a handy utility for cleaning the dog, the house was always nice and warm, os maps to help plan your walks, and lots of walks from the door, lose hill, win hill, mam tor etc and Castleton is a nice easy 45 min walk across the back fields. The house is on the main road In Hope, but set back behind the owners home so the only views you have are beautiful countryside, I didn't want to leave!

This is a wonderful cottage - cosy and yet spacious, great cooker, well kitted out, cosy wood-burner, although not needed in the lovely warm house (we stayed in February).

Very well laid out with warm drying room as you enter. Great lighting, with a standard lamp to read by and comfortable bed. Owners very hospitable, and generous with supplies and treats. Great location - recommend a walk from the door up Win Hill as well as short drive to Lady Bower and Kinder Scout. We hope to be back.

Absolutely perfect!

A beautiful cottage in the middle of the village. Immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, it has everything you need for a wonderful holiday. The welcome package of wine, chocolates, milk, bread etc was very gratefully received. My only regret was that we only booked for weekend! We could have happily stayed for a week or more. The spacious utility room is perfect for getting rid of muddy boots and wet coats after a walk in the Peak District, and the cottage is right in the middle of excellent walking countryside. The views from the main bedroom window look over open countryside with sheep and donkeys in the field at the back of the house. Again - absolutely perfect for a long or short stay - I can't wait for our next visit!
