Coniston Cottage is a charming, pet-friendly house in the quaint village of Youlgreave, Derbyshire.
Boasting a woodburning stove in the sitting room, with plenty of games and books whilst being near several amenities, this property is perfect for a family getaway to the Peak District.
As you walk into your new holiday base, set your eyes on the sitting room that invites you to chill.
Pick your spot on one of the two sofas as you get the woodburning stove going to give it that homely feeling.
As you settle in, turn on the Smart TV and have a browse through Netflix to find something everyone wants to watch.
Perhaps get a game or a DVD out from the selection available to really get into the holiday spirit.
When stomachs start to rumble, sit everyone around the dining table before you switch on the electric oven and hobs.
Wind down for the night when the night sky is out by taking a book up to the double room.
Let the kids talk themselves to sleep in the twin.
Start the day off with either a soak in the bath or a quick shower to be refreshed for another joyous day.
A shop is close by for any essentials, as well as a pub for a drink or a meal.
In Youlgreave, go for an idyllic stroll along the Limestone Bay, take a dip in the Youlgreave Wild River Swimming Area or find a serene spot for a picnic.
Another great day out is in Bakewell, as it has the enchanting Chatsworth House estate, which has an art gallery and also a petting zoo for the little ones.
The Monsal Trail is on offer for a gentle family bike ride, or treat yourself to a beer tasting tour at Thornbridge Brewery.
Slightly further away is Matlock Dale, which has everything for everyone.
Let the kids blow off some steam on several rides at Gulliver's Kingdom, meet some new furry friends at Matlock Farm Park or take the chance to see some insane views on a cable car at Heights of Abraham.

They need to advertise that there is no garden.
Cottage is very well equipped but very dark as no garden and only a wall to look out on . I am sorry to say that the cottage has a very fusty smell . The cottage was clean and nice touches of coffee and tea and milk supplied , but did not stay too long in the cottage because of the fusty smell
We loved our stay at Coniston Cottage.
It was the perfect base for a slow, outdoorsy week away. The owner was very friendly, communicative, and helpful. It felt homely straight away, and our dog liked it too! There's no garden, but the path down to the river is just over the road. The kitchen was well equipped, cooking there was easy. Youlgreave is absolutely beautiful, and the cottage was perfect for walks straight from the door. We loved being able to wander out into the village and countryside so easily, and being so close to the river was great. There was a heatwave when we stayed, but the cottage stayed quite cool, maybe because of its old stone walls. There was some road noise due to the location and needing to have the windows open due to the heatwave, but this didn't impact our stay. We had a lovely time and were genuinely sad to leave, and we'd happily stay again!
Cottage was as described, cosy and clean.
In the cooler months of the year some of the storage heaters are insufficient but the log/coal burner does heat up the whole cottage well.
