"A beautiful grade 2 list cottage - perfectly situated - nice garden to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine (or cup of tea) comfortable and well equipped - as stated in the description."
Stairs are steep so may not suit anyone with difficulty walking up stairs - short walk down to Ironbridge (steep hill back up) - and local pub very friendly and great food a 2 min walk along the road - highly recommend and will certainly return ourselves.
Thank you for your positive review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Medlar Cottage. Certainly there is enough to do in the local area should you return, you will of course be most welcome.

"Comfortable cosy cottage."
Excellent location for visiting Ironbridge and the museums. Didn’t need to use the car all week.
Only suggested improvement, fix shower head to wall above bath and a folding shower screen on the bath.
Only downside to staying at Medlar cottage was the barking dog next door at all hours of the day and night.
I'm pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Medlar Cottage and will certainly look into the improvements you suggest. I have delayed responding to your review and have stayed at Medlar Cottage on a number of occasions since. Although I have heard the dog next door the barking has been isolated and occasional, normally when something notable occurs outside the cottages. I have not been disturbed at all during the night. I can only imagine that the disturbance you experienced must have been driven by the severe weather with high winds and snow storms that were experienced during your stay. I know that the weather brought down phone cables while you were here and once this was reported to me by the neighbours was rectified the same day by Openreach. I apologise if this was a negative during your stay

"I had a great stay at this wonderful cottage."
It was cosy and the welcome gifts were much appreciated. The cottage was decorated for Christmas, which was a lovely touch. I had everything I needed and look forward to staying again in the future.

"I stayed there for 10 days while waiting for my home to be ready."
Amazing and beautiful location, small, self-contained unit - has everything that you would need for a short stay. The listing on Sykes does not mention washing machine in amenities - but that is also there. Plus there is a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon prime etc.
Only compromise would be that there is no standing shower / partition to prevent water from sprinkling out but then the heating is good and dries it out quick.
Steps are steep - not suitable if you have knee pain issues.
Will love to stay again!
Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay both at the cottage and in Ironbridge. You would of course be most welcome to stay again.

"Medlar cottage was extremely clean and comfortable and just what we needed for our short stay in Ironbridge."
We had a slight problem with the WiFi not working when we arrived, but caretaker was very helpful and we eventually got connected. We felt very cosy with the log effect fire in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the tea, coffee and milk in the fridge. The lovely bathroom was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable, although might benefit from some updated bed linen. Overall a really lovely cottage and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Many thanks for your kind review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. Ironbridge has a lot see and do locally. The caretaker was happy to assist with the Wi-Ff blip which is unusual and following on from your comments we will have a review of the bed linen. Should you ever choose to return you will be most welcome.

Thank you for your review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay at Medlar Cottage and took advantage of an area that has a lot to offer. The cottage is a listed building within a world heritage site and some 200 years old. The stairs are original which does mean they are steeper than modern ones. Should you ever want to return you would be more than welcome .
