  • "Had a fantastic stay, in a very homely cottage, lovely garden which we used daily as the weather was so good."

The owner Rachel is lovely and couldn't be more helpful without intruding. The familyis happy to show you around the farm. We were lucky as a litter of piglets had been born on the day we arrived. We ordered meat from Rachel and she arranges it from the Farm Shop and delivers to you. Would highly recommend the lamb, pork chop and sausages, mmmmm delicious. Can't recommend the cottage enough for a very relaxing holiday.

Thank you so much for your lovely feed back, it was great seeing you again. As long as everyone has a lovely, relaxing time when staying with is then I'm happy, thank you again and hope to see you soon xx Property Owner

Nice large rooms and very clean. Family are lovely hosts, very friendly and we really enjoyed being shown around their farm and the welcome gifts of Easter Eggs was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this cottage as we had a lovely 2 night stay.

  • "This cottage was excellent and had all the facilities required."

A special mention for how comfortable the beds were and the constant supply of hot water (not always something that is "on tap"). The hosts were exactly what you want - there when needed and again a special mention for showing us and the grandchildren the animals, an absolute bonus. Suffice to say we will be booking again when visiting family.

The bed was a bit hard for me as I suffer from a bad back! But apart from that 5 star!

Even though cottage on a working farm you are don’t disturbed by any animal or farm noises at all. Rachel was so welcoming and we even stayed a extra day/night as having a great time. Cottage was spotless and everything you could need was there. Warm and cozy and just perfect. Thank you for a truly lovely short break and will definitely recommend and come back and stay if I come this way again.

Rachel, the owner is friendly and welcoming. We didn't have time to find out more about the farm but if you have children it seems that there would be opportunities to do so. A lovely break and the location is great for visiting the area.

  • "Stone Farm Cottage is lovely."

It’s very well decorated and equipped, and remarkably spacious. The secure garden was lovely for our dogs with the horses, cows, sheep and pigs in the next field entertaining us with their antics. Rachel is also lovely, her cottage attaches to Stone Farm Cottage, and she couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. We got a tour of the farm and we’re incredibly lucky to get to witness some piglets being born. What a fantastic experience! We would all recommend trying the delicious farm sausages, eggs and the amazing lamb lollipops (the latter were the star of the show for a nearby family BBQ we attended). We very much hope that we can return some time.

  • "Lovely welcome, fabulous host - Rachel and family made us very welcome and offered to show us around the farm."

We would have, but the weather was against us with lashing rain. Lovely working farm, fabulous views. Would have liked a more powerful shower. Only one toilet in this property. Sadly, couldn't get booked into local pub so had to get takeaway but all good. Be careful on main road, we took our dog for a walk to explore and the road was treacherous with cars coming round the bend by the pub. Better to take to the fields for fabulous walking and lots of wildlife. Bed was comfy, all amenities provided except bathroom toiletries and a welcome gift of milk, teabags and choccy biccies.

  • "Stone Farm was brilliant!"

We were lucky with the sunshine and they had lots of lambs and some 3 day old piglets which were so cute! Rachel, Richard and Hunter were all so friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. We (with grandsons) collected eggs from the chickens and ducks. The cottage was warm and cosy, clean and bright. The garden is a lovely spot to watch the horses and all the animals from and to see the sunset. Although it’s a working farm it was actually very tranquil and relaxing. Oh, and the sausages for breakfast, delivered to our door, were the best I’ve ever had. We are also looking forward to our lamb shanks which we brought home! We will definitely go back to stay. Many thanks to Rachel and family. Keep on peddling Hunter!
