  • "One of the nicest cottages I have stayed in."

Stylish and beautifully decorated. The owners have gone out of their way to think about all those little things that make a holiday cottage home from home. The views from the top of the garden are amazing and the cottage is located close to The Heights of Abraham, Chatsworth House and Bakewell. Crich Tramway Musuem is well worth a visit. This is a well equipped and luxurious property. Thank you.

  • "This is the nicest holiday rental we've ever stayed in."

Couldn't fault it. The garden is steep but has lovely views, also steep-ish down into Matlock & elsewhere but not difficult. Will definitely come again.

  • "We loved this property and were made to feel very welcome."

It is spacious, very comfortable and well equipped with views from every window. The garden is even better than it looks in the pictures with seating at several levels and lights all the way up. There are walks right on the doorstep. We particularly enjoyed a walk just across the road to the Lumsdale Valley.

Thank you Catherine for enjoying our cottage ,we loved the drawing in our guest book a potential artist coming into flower we think and thank you for being excellent guests. Property Owner

Probably the best property we've rented. We will come back again. If you are staying, the Gate Inn at Tansley is a great pub and not along walk away. Also Bentley Brook brewery is worth a visit when visiting the waterfalls!

  • "We had a fabulous stay at Barley cottage- I don’t think the photos do it justice!"

It’s stylish and immaculate, with really good quality fixtures and fittings and a well kitted out kitchen. I was a bit apprehensive when I booked as I couldn’t find any reviews but this is clearly because the place is brand new. There are beautiful walks on your doorstep and lots to do nearby. The terrace has a wonderful view I could have sat there all day. This cottage has lots of stairs that are quite steep, both inside and outside so please be aware that if anyone is a bit unsteady on their feet this might be a bit difficult for them. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone else and hope to be back again soon.Thank you!

A lovely review and thank you, we are happy you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again in the not too distance future. Property Owner
