Tucked away in the charming village of Middleton-by-Wirksworth, Derbyshire, is this historic stone-built cottage that serviced as the village post office from the 1800s until 2014. Enjoying a superb location on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park, set on the High Peak Trail with plenty of scenic walks and cycle routes available right from your front door, The Old Post Office is a fantastic choice for larger families, multi-generational families and groups of friends who want to bring along their canine companions.
The property benefits from three off-road parking spaces, a front patio with furniture, barbecue and a hot tub, perfect for alfresco dining on warmer days, or a long soak after a day of exploring.
On the lower ground floor is a boot room just perfect for safe storage of bikes.
On this floor you will also find a fully plumbed doggy wash station, boot storage and drying area.
On the ground floor, you will find a large fully-equipped kitchen with double oven for whipping up your best dishes, ready to enjoy at the dining table as you toast to an unforgettable holiday.
After dinner, make your way through to the sitting room, where you can relax on the plush seating in front of a much-loved film on the large 4K Smart TV, as your pooches take up their favourite spot in front of the crackling woodburning stove.
Completing the ground floor is a lovely king size bedroom and next to it is a luxurious shower room complete with toilet and sink ideal, for those with limited mobility.
Head upstairs, where you will find a well-appointed shower room with double length power shower for washing away the day’s adventures, as well as three further beautifully decorated king-size bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, and another with woodburning stove, along with a double with single bunk over to give you ultimate flexibility.
The two master bedrooms upstairs also feature 4K Smart TVs.
Wander through the village, where you can have a cold drink at The Nelson Arms just a few doors up or enjoy a meal at The Rising Sun and enjoy leisurely strolls through Middleton Moor.
Continue onto Wirksworth, where you can tour the Wirksworth Heritage Centre, visit the National Stone Centre, hike up to the Black Rocks which offer superb views at their top, dine at a wide variety of restaurants, including Hope & Anchor, Le Mistral, and Saint Betti, or sample local ales at the microbrewery and good selection of pubs.
From here, you can easily reach the popular village of Carsington, Hopton, and Carsington Water, where you can wander through the countryside with alpacas, dine at The Miners Arms, try your hand at a plethora of watersports, or enjoy wildlife rich walks around the lake.
The next village along is Cromford, the UNESCO World heritage site as the birthplace of the industrial revolution and Matlock Bath, home to the Heights of Abraham, Gulliver’s Kingdom children’s theme park or venture further onto Chatsworth, Bakewell and the beautiful Buxton.

We had a lovely break in The Old Post Office and couldnt have asked for anything more.
We were 3 generations celebrating a birthday and it suited us all. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for a long weekend break. We were puzzled where the teapot lids had gone though

We had a fantastic stay at the old post office, house was lovely and welcoming , decorated with a lovely Christmas tree, and we were greeted with a welcome tray.
Rooms were a great size, and everything working in order, lovely house to have some good quality family time, great hosting space for dinner. House is in a lovely location and near some lovely little walks, we had a lovely meal at the rising sun pub down the road. Contact with the owner was fab, he checked in to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything! We will be back again.

Gates not shutting- couldn’t relax as dog could get out, worse for children Hot tub no outside lights- no where to put bathrobes Locks on bathroom doors - non existent!
hooks in bathrooms for towels- nowhere to put towel whilst in shower Kindling to light the fire- bbq coal instead of normal.. plus sockets - lack of so extension cables everywhere/ not very safe! Seasoning for cooking- this is something you owl expect to be in the cupboard for any cooking Cupboards we’re all really disorganised and couldn’t find anything, cutlery drawer was dirty The place is generally tired but could be amazing if some investments was made. The only positive was the owner being very reasponaove to my needs when I messaged him.
I am really happy you found me responsive to your needs as I always want guests to have a great time at the Old Post Office. In terms of electronics as characteristic of old houses the upstairs bedrooms are under provisioned plug wise. Extensions are used in some rooms to give more capacity but all are PAT tested along with periodic electrical safety tests. Seasoning is not something we advertise providing but I will look into this if this is what guests demand. I can now confirm we have locks on bathroom doors, coat hooks at both doors, new easy light logs and many more improvements. I would like to ask guests to read the overwhelming volume of positive and balanced reviews we receive and I do thank you for your feedback.
The Old Post Office is a beautiful old property with some lovely features such as huge fireplaces and high ceilings.
Because its an old property, the floors, especially upstairs are a bit wonky which adds to the charm. There does seem to have been a damp issue, and there are lots of areas where wallpaper has peeled away. As many self catering properties, the kitchen equipment isn't always quite suitable, no large casserole dish and 2 teapots but with no lids, but this is maybe an 'our family ' thing. I felt that much of the kitchen equipment needed a good scrub, but the dishwasher wasnt really too efficient so that may have impacted. Only 2 people could have a shower before the tank ran out of hot water, I feel a property of this size needs a more modern combination boiler fitted, the bathrooms are beautifully fitted, but you'd never fill that bath on a full water tank. The lounge area is a decent space, there were 7 of us and we could all sit together, any more would struggle and the property does sleep 10. The sofa is a bit grubby and there's a bit of a whiff if you sit for a while. The TV's are huge, and in every room, but if you're not tech savvy it might be difficult to find out how to work them, there is a downloadable guest book, but personally I think a folder to flick through with all the house information is much more user friendly. Overall, a nice place to get together with family, but we wouldn't book it again as its not quite as comfortable as others we've stayed at.
I am delighted you found the Old Post Office to be a beautiful old property and you enjoyed the huge fireplaces and high ceilings. During our winter maintenance we have dealt with issues raised including simply turning up the flow temperature on the boiler to ensure water is hotter and heating the cylinder faster. The boiler was new earlier this year and is now set up better. The house dates to the early Victorian period and build of 2ft thick Derbyshire limestone and with that comes challenges. We have sorted any areas where wallpaper has slightly peeled and made lots of other improvements. Thank you for your detailed feedback it has really helped us to make improvements for our guests.
On first entering the property it was very well presented, immaculate kitchen and bathrooms, however on further examination there were issues with the property; Cleanliness - thick layer of dust under the sofa, 2 areas of black mould on the ceiling in the bedroom with the sofa.
Ripped wallpaper in the lounge. Facilities - no wardrobes or hanging space in 3 bedrooms, no proper wine glasses (big gin glasses) it stated that the property was well stocked - only 2 instant small logs left for the log burner and a small box of matches (had to buy additional logs/ kindling and long matches) the burner was not clear and there was no ashes box to empty the ashes. Only one dishwasher tablet left, no condiments, not enough toilet paper provided. UHT milk left not fresh. Only 2 small hooks in the kitchen for coats, could do with a generous hook instalment perhaps in the porch in the kitchen. Hot tub cover was not easy to remove and replace, on previous use of hot tubs they had handles with a mechanism that were much easier to use, the area for the hot tub is open to the road and not private, only used once because of these issues.
We are delighted you found the kitchen and bathrooms to be immaculate. Winter maintenance is next week and I will be installing hooks in the kitchen for more coats. I am not sure where the wine glasses were hiding but I assure you there are ample read and white wine glasses in the house. I am saddened I was not contacted during your stay as I would have gladly directed you to the cleaners cupboard where more of all consumables are available. The hot tub lid flips over the bar and pushes back, perhaps I need to leave better direction and during winter maintenance next week I am installing foliage to the side of the garden to make it even more private. In terms of storage large draw units and hooks on the back of doors are available in bedrooms without the wardrobes. The Old Post Office is generally booked for weekends and a large wardrobe in each bedroom would, perhaps, be too much. We loved the quirkiness of the house and the fact that all 9 of us could fit in the living room to relax in the evening. Neil was lovely to deal with and very helpful when we had trouble putting up the travel cot. Thank you for a wonderful stay ☺️

We really liked the hot tub but thought the bathrooms were a bit below standard.
The dodgy lock/handle on the main bathroom & the unfixed shower head in the downstairs shower room will hopefully be mended. Kitchen is an odd layout but was equipped with everything we needed.
Thank you for your review the shower head has since been tightened as it has come slightly loose and the lock on the main bathroom has been oiled. The kitchen layout was to accommodate the original Victorian safe for the Old Post Office which hides in one of the under counter cupboards. It is anchored in by 4ft iron rods and can’t be moved. It certainly is an interesting quirk and one to look out for anyone staying at The Old Post Office.
Very enjoying stay.
We ranged in age from 4 to 82 plus one dog and we loved the property and the location. Only drawbacks were the bathroom door didn't lock but we worked out a warning system. Also when I cooked for us a larger saucepan would have come in handy but we managed. We're looking forward to coming back again.

Our family (ages 10-70) have just enjoyed a lovely weekend at The Old Post Office.
It's a spacious and comfortable family home. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery. The garden area is very nice with outdoor furniture and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The area has many places to visit within a short drive. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very helpful.

However I do have to mention a few things that would have made our stay even better. First of all the wallpaper was falling off the wall in the smallest bedroom and the blind for the velux window was awful. Also the lounge was extremely dirty under the settee and wallpaper was very tatty near the tv. Which brings me to the instructions for the TV, there were none, Took a while to sort it. Instructions for everything should be clearer and a suggestion should not be on all different emails, text messages etc. Please think about a paper book for all the instructions as I had to keep looking them up instead of the other adults being able to just look for themselves. Water under the bed downstairs and owner asked us to mop it up and there wasn't a mop or a decent cleaner in the cupboard. Really should be something available to mop up with its not something guests usually bring with them. I hope you look on this as constructive criticism. We really enjoyed it nevertheless.

I have amended the online flip book to include how to operate the TV (Freesat is on HDMI 1) and I have sorted almost all minor issues mentioned. The wallpaper by the TV had been slightly torn by the chair it seems when previous guests have reclined into it. The living room has been deep cleaned including the annual machine cleaning the furniture and all carpets in the house.

The big shower room lock key is a bit tricky and one of our guests got locked in for a short time. The cottage is spacious and wonderfully quirky. Loved the hot tub and the village is so lovely and peaceful. Enjoyed a drink in the neighbouring Nelson arms
We have just spent a lovely weekend with our extended family in The Old Post Office, including my 80 year old parents.
The surrounding area and walks are beautiful. We all enjoyed the space, the comfortable seating and most definitely the hot tub! There was an issue with the heating when we arrived, so the house was quite chilly but we contacted Neil and the problem was quickly rectified. There were also no logs/fire lighters left out but again, Neil told us where to find the lighters in the cellar. We then had to go out to find logs to use from the local Co-op. The house was comfortable but we were quite surprised at the amount of black mould on the coving of the bedroom with the seating and most of the other bedrooms also had mould on the walls to a lesser degree and there was a distinct smell of damp throughout the house. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the coffee machine but again, as other reviewers have pointed out, some of the cookware wasn’t very clean. Neil did leave a welcome pack with Prosecco, crisps, biscuits and chocolates and there were some teabags included which was appreciated, but be aware, you will need to bring the basics including salt, pepper and cooking oil as there was none to be found. I understand that you would be expected to bring everything on longer stays but pretty much everywhere we have stayed in the past has provided these. We did have a lovely stay and appreciated the size and the hot tub but all felt that a little extra cleaning was necessary. We do appreciate it is an older house and appears to be cheaper than many properties of this size.

We will act on feedback straight away as there are times small parts of walls need a wipe and I will ensure cleaners don’t miss this. The house is very old and built from 2ft thick stone walls after a very cold and wet winter so there will always be a few minor imperfections that we are always dealing with so I would encourage all future guests to also have a look at all of our other fabulous reviews.
Lovely house as described, plenty of space for the whole family.
However, our biggest disappointment was the hot tub. I had booked this stay for my nieces birthday specifically for the hot tub and she was extremely excited about it. When we arrived on the first day the hot tub was cold and would not heat up due to the heating system fusing. The owners were great with communication responding quickly to our messages about this and advised us what to do. However, we still had issues with the fuse and after changing the fuse three times the hot tub still didn’t work. This then meant that we weren’t able to use the hot tub for the first full day we were there, which was very disappointing especially when booked for this specific feature.

Fabulous modern kitchen and very large dining room to enjoy family meals. Kingsize beds all very comfortable , downstairs bedroom and walk in shower perfect for my elderly parents. A recent new boiler ensures plenty of hot water, great showers and a warm and comfortable stay . The fire makes the large sitting room even more cosy. Neil is an exceptional host and responded to any questions within minutes - his pre stay information pack is excellent . The Hot tub was fabulous even in January and the generous welcome pack a lovely touch. Beautiful location to enjoy walks and nearby towns and villages- Perfect holiday home

Fabulous cottage with plenty of space for 8+.
The sofa / beds are lovely and comfortable. Amazing amount of space. The hot tub was a nice extra! The owner was very kind and very quick at responding. Nothing negative to comment at all. Hopefully my family will be there again next year :)

Well equipped for all your needs. Lovely bedrooms, all with comfy beds. Huge living room with log burner making it lovely and cosy. Perfect location for walking. Pub next door and down the road the Rising Sun pub that does delicious food. Brilliant host, very informative. Got back to us almost immediately with any questions. Can’t recommend this place enough. We stayed here as a party of 9 adults and a baby for a joint birthday celebration, and had the most amazing time.
The house is really beautiful, very well equipped and very spacious for such a large party, and very comfortable. The hot tub was a great addition, and was bubbling away for when we arrived. The downstairs bedroom was a great area for the couple with the baby, as its close to the kitchen and next to a bathroom- so would highly recommend for a party with a baby who might want to be slightly seperate form the other rooms. Great location for exploring the Peak district. The only few negatives were, not all of the bedrooms had curtains/blinds that blocked out the morning sunlight- not a massive negative but it was fedback to me, as the lead party booker. And the other thing was, the underneath of the sofas are very dusty and could definitley do with a vaccum, as we ended up being able to smell the dust. Overall, fantastic house with great facilities in a beautiful area. Would definitley return!

What a lovely cottage with great character in an amazing little village, To start, the digital welcome pack we received months before so we could plan our visit was great, lots of info and ideas and a lovely touch, on arrival as warned the drive way entrance is snug but I got my ford van in ok

Rooms large and comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen. Great to have a large dining table and plenty of chairs. A bonus to have the hot tub, children really enjoyed that. We found driving into and out of parking spaces quite tight, perhaps because of our larger cars. Difficult to see when exiting onto road. We ate in the Rising Sun which we can recommend and had a drink in The Nelson’s Arms, made welcome at both establishments. Ideally placed for visiting local tourist spots.

As a family of 10 with young children we found the spacious news of The Old Post Office great.
With 3 toilets / bathrooms we had plenty of room and the dining room fit us all in nicely. There were 2 highchairs available and a Cot was provided. Plenty of kids crockery and cutlery which was super handy. We walked to the Rising Sun (10 mins away) and had a lovely pub lunch, but there was also a pub closer which we didn't try. Really enjoyed the stay, will book again. Thanks so much.

The main concern was exiting the property onto a blind bend - we all felt that a mirror opposite would be a real help.
But the welcome pack was wonderful and very appreciated. A couple of small items were the loose toilet seat downstairs and the door being difficult to open and close. There were no instructions what to do about stripping beds and used towels. We felt it was best to leave them so hope we didn’t offend. We had a lovely few days and was enjoyed by all.

He allowed us to stay an extra night free of charge and providing a an extensive welcome tray all so generous The location of the Old Post Office is superb. 15 mins from Carsington Water and a short drive to iiyam. Absolutely stunning. There is plenty of room at the old post office, the bed linen and towels beautifully clean and of high quality. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed sitting around the large dining table in the evening. If you are taking someone elderly or with mobility issues I would recommend you visit the property first to assess suitability.

There were 11 of us staying at the Old Post Office to celebrate a family birthday.
It was absolutely perfect. The space, character and the hot tub were fantastic! A beautiful property with everything we needed. Would totally recommend the shower too! Brilliant! 2 minute drive down the road is Matlock Bath - such a beautiful place. To sit in the sun along the river with a coffee was medicine for the soul. We ate at local pub, which was a five minute walk. They made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for the children, us adults and the Dog! My husband and our four legged friend visited the other pub for a 'perfect pint' Saturday afternoon, only a few doors up from the house and again was made to feel welcome. Would definitely recommend The Old Post Office to large groups of family or friends. Thanks Neil - it was Perfect.

The cleanliness and maintenance of the property was very poor, mould, dust and dirt was present throughout the property .
The hot tub did not work properly. The dishwasher was broken which resulted in my husband trying to unblock it when we arrived as the smell was horrific. There was not enough hot water in the tank for everyone to shower when they wanted, this caused a few issues as we were a party of 10.
This is really sad to read and during the stay I was not contacted about any issues at all. The hot tub was user error as the guest did not understand how to use the diverter valve leaving half the jets not working and the rate the water for showers heats up can be speeded up using the electric emersion heater but, I am, of course, saddened I wasn’t given the ability to advise on this. This is a truly unbalanced review that was submitted 7 weeks after the stay and I would like potential guests to look at the overwhelmingly positive reviews we get for this beautiful and historic property in a most pretty village.
Lots off food left from previous occupants, bread open nuts open crisps all in kitchen draw , untidiness out side weeds old rotten logs , lots off dirt under sofa recliner ,pipe in bed room with sofa in not very good everyone kicked it needs covering .
I am, of course, disappointed to read this review and it is regretful that three texts to you during your break from me remain unanswered. We will sort all issues mentioned straight away (The gardener was delayed a week but is in on Friday) and I do request potential future guests do look at the many lovely reviews we get as, on this occasion, I was not afforded the opportunity to take any action.

The house is a beautiful place to stay. The owner has provided everything you need, we had a slight problem with one of the bathrooms but was resolved by Neil really quick. We would definitely come back again, there are so many places to visit that are really close

A large, well equipped house suitable for our family of ten.
Would suit a group of couples who enjoy walking & exploring locality . Neil the host was particularly helpful and welcoming. We appreciated his welcome pack too which made us feel at home . Used the hot tub regularly despite it being January. Would return to the cottage for a similar break.

Lovely roomy cottage.
Plenty of space for 8 adults and 1 toddler. Worried as there were only 2 bathrooms, but this wasn't a problem. Nicely decorated for Christmas. Good communication with agent. Enjoyed the hot tub. Great location for visiting other towns, appears to have good bus links. The Nelson pub very handy up the road. Would use again for a family holiday.

We stayed at the Old Post Office over Christmas 2023.
There were 6 of us - 3 generations of family. The house was as described - very spacious and comfortable. It was cold when we arrived (friday) and took quite some time to warm up but was then almost too hot - especially when the woodburner in the sitting room was lit. There were fire lighters provided but no logs for the woodburner - but luckily we had brought some . The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, crockery and glassware although strangely there were no serving spoons. I thought the fridge/freezer was a little small for the size of house and number of people who it can accomodate - but there was a sort of pantry which we used for vegetables and other foods that didn't need refridgeration. We didn't have a problem with the TV's (I saw a previous review that mentioned difficulties) but perhaps the instructions for how to get onto the Freesat stations (live TV) could be expanded? The host was very helpful and friendly and I'm sure that if we had had any problems he would have done what he could to help. Luckily we didn't need to bother him. The village pub is 50 metres away and was very welcoming and dog friendly. The weather was atrocious when we were staying at the Old Post Office which is a shame as there seemed to be a lot of good local walks and beautiful scenery on the doorstep. The one thing we weren't keen on was the bunk bed arrangement in the smallest bedroom.My daughter found it difficult to sit up in bed to read because of the single bunk above. A double bed or even two singles would have been better.

We are delighted you found the house to be spacious and comfortable. Thank you for the recommendations and we will certainly take them on board. I am, for example, having a nest thermostat fitted on Friday to ensure I can control the temperature of the house via WiFi.
The house was spacious and great for a large party of 8, lounge seated everyone and dining room seated 10.
The hot tub was a great bonus too. Our concern was with the comfort and cleanliness of the property. The kitchen was dirty in some cupboards, drawers and the oven trays and coffee machine. One of the beds was not clean and the dishwasher didn’t empty, the top oven keep tripping the electric. Whilst we realised it was an older property it was not adequately maintained, there were things missing or in short supply. ( No teapot lid, dirty pan scrubber, missing shade from bedside lamp, no bin lid( dog loved this one!) Whilst overall we had a great family weekend, on arrival at the house it was freezing and we were extremely disappointed after paying a larger fee than our normal rate for our Christmas weekend away. We sent pics etc and messages to the owner who didn’t actually seem too bothered and kept referring us to the qr code which didn’t work !!! We also phoned on our arrival and got no response on the Friday) This could be an amazing place size wise but need a massive overhaul and a look at cleaning protocols. Turn on the heating for guests arrival!!
We are really happy you enjoyed how spacious the house is, you enjoyed the hot tub and I am so pleased you had a great family weekend. It is a shame, however, that I wasn’t made aware of most of the issues you raised, they have proven to be very easy fixes. I was puzzled to receive an answerphone message asking for the location of the thermostat when this information was in the welcome text and apologies my phone was victim to the national Three Network outage on Friday 1st evening. I didn’t once refer you to a QR code and engaged directly by text. I regret that you did not answer my message when I checked in about the thermostat. The old post office was lovingly refurbished as can be seen from the pictures and I am proud that it remains the best value 10 guest with hot tub, pet friendly house within 10 miles of Matlock. The house now has a nest WiFi thermostat so it can be preheated before guest arrival and the teapot has been replaced too, I’m sure we can all drink to that.

House is lovely and has everything you could need. It's quirky facing sidewards to the road, but we had a very comfortable stay. High peak trail is lovely for a walk and there are plenty of nice puns nearby. Recommend the Hope and Anchor for Sunday lunch and lovely vegan options

Very helpful Neil sourced a tea pot and extra towels for us as soon as he realised we needed them for our stay.
We couldn't get 'live' TV only catch up so be prepared and come with your logins. There was only minimal loo roll left and no kitchen roll so bring spares if you have a large party.
Thank you for taking the time to feedback and it was a pleasure assisting where I could but unfortunately I wasn’t aware of the TV or toilet roll issue. Due to the rural location, satellite dishes as opposed to TV aerials are used for live TV. The welcome document does explain how the satellite channels are received on HDMI 1. Spare toilet roll and kitchen roll are kept at the house also, which I can direct guests to should it be required. Again, I do regret I wasn’t made aware about this shortcoming.
We loved the welcome basket and the really quick response time to my questions about equipment.
Neil arranged for hairdryers and a weighing scale to be delivered while we were there! That's customer service. The dishwasher did fail and although Neil gave us advice we couldn't use it but this did not stop us having a lovely time for our granddaughter's birthday.

What a gorgeous property to have stayed in.
Everything you would ever need. Kitchen was brilliant, very well equipped. Welcome hamper was a bonus. Plenty of space for everyone to be together or have space on their own. Hot tub is a great asset. We used this as a complete rest for a few days (Hubby took kids to Alton Towers so I relaxed on my own with the dogs). We only had 4 nights but wish we had longer. The four poster bedroom and bathroom are beautiful. All the rooms are great. The owner was very friendly. Even though its on a main road its very private and quiet. We will definitely return. We rented the old post office as a family due to hiking around the area.
When we arrived the house seemed fine rooms were tidy. Once we settled we noticed there was no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms and we weren't advised to bring our own. Doors on the bedrooms didn't fully close. There were stains on the bed sheets. The hot tub had green water and was filthy inside, this meant we didn't even use the hot tub as it was disgusting. The shower drain was blocked, so the moment you spent longer than 2 minutes in the shower it was flooding over the shower tray onto the floor. The beds were uncomfortable as too hard, but that is just personal preference. These factors ended up making our stay disappointing as there was many good reviews, it was just a shame we didn't experience it. Worked out very expensive for what we experienced especially as the hot tub was the main reason we rented the house, to chill in after our hike but we couldnt even use it.
I was very sorry to read your feedback and regret, despite my personal details being provided, that I was never informed of any issues and so couldn't take any actions. All issues mentioned were easy fixed for the next changeover.
The cottage was amazing and the description very accurate.
Despite being on the Main Street in the village the house was very quiet. The rooms were a good size for all 10 of us, we never felt cramped and all comfortably fitted round the table or on the huge settee in the lounge. The kitchen was very well kitted out even for my foodie husband. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms worked well with good quality linen and towels. As the front isn’t on the main road (which we thought it was beforehand) using the hot tub was great fun and safe. A great position in the Peak District - easy to reach many of the attractions in the area. We all loved our break and wished we could have had more time to spend there.

We loved our stay at the old post office.
The cottage is incredible. Spacious, comfortable and really well done out with lots of nice touches. Welcome pack was lovely and the rooms all have throws and it just feels really cosy. We also enjoyed having use of the hot tub. We had great communication before and during stay with the owner and would def like to come back and stay again. Highly recommend.

The Post office is in a great location to visit a range of places.
The owner was very helpful and accommodating. There was a lovely, varied welcome pack on arrival. The kitchen is a great size and it is very well equipped. There is plenty os space to seat people in the lounge.

Our group of 6 adults and 4 young children (age range 2 to 74) plus a dog thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay.
Rooms were well equipped and beds comfortable. The hot tub was well appreciated by all, except of course the dog. The owner was in contact before our stay and made it known he was on hand to sort out any difficulties that may have arisen. We would definitely return if we decided to visit that area again.
