  • "We truly enjoyed our family stay at 3 old hall cottage."

The cottage was very clean, welcoming a very comfortable. Everything that you hope for when you book a holiday we were not disappointed at all.The lounge was cosy, with comfortable sofa & chairs. Kitchen was fully equipped. ( we only used the toaster, kettle). Enjoy eating out as we were on holiday. Very comfortable beds, amazing shower in the main bedroom. The 2nd bathroom had a bath and shower over head which was also very good. Lots of useful information in the cottage, to help with the area Having outside space and a car parking space is a lovely bonus. A lovely village with a local cafe & pub a few minutes walk from the cottage. Good value for money. would definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful cottage.

  • "The cottage ,situated in the heart of the small village of Monyash , is delightful."

It overlooks the village pond and within a few minutes walk you can be at the pub , the cafe , the church , see alpacas or get fresh farm eggs. Inside the cottage the kitchen and spacious bathrooms are equipped to a very high standard and all the electrical equipment was so easy to use too. Everything was spotlessly clean ; beautiful carpets , towels and bed linen , kitchen cutlery and crockery , pans etc all excellent . The decor is faultless and very tasteful too. A small lounge but then it was cosy and comfy In the mornings ( when it was warm enough ! ) it was so relaxing to sit with your coffee outside the front door and just gaze at this idyllic village , heat the church bells, watch the heron fly in for breakfast , watch the ‘ ladies in waiting ‘ in the field by the pond and a huge bonus for us we saw two of the sheep lamb ! A very friendly village with folk stopping to talk to you as you walk around Great walks from the door and cycling area. We found it perfect and are going to book again .

It has been beautifully and tastefully renovated and is comfortable and homely. The view from the front windows is stunning and Moneyash itself is such an interesting and delightful village offering a pub and cafe both with great food and hospitality. We even helped rescue sone toads!

  • "We had a lovely week in this beautifully refurbished/modernised cottage."

There is so much to do in this area from good walking to stately homes, and we thought Bakewell was delightful. Monyash is a friendly village with an excellent pub (beware the size of the helpings) and a great cafe.. We did find the heating somewhat quirky, but that was quickly resolved by the owners, to whom our thanks. Roger

  • "We had a lovely stay, the cottage was gorgeous and very well equipped, comfortable beds, ensuite and bathroom we're wonderfully modern and we loved the log burner, the owner left a welcome pack which we greatly appreciated."

The cottage was immaculately clean with lots of homely touches plus the festive decorations. If I had one complaint it would be paying for extra logs for the fire we had already paid quite a good amount to stay for 4 nights, I can't imagine another bag of logs would have broken the owners bank?!

Thank you for your kind feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. We do leave one pack of complimentary logs for each stay along with tea, coffee, milk, sugar, sanitiser, etc and a bottle of wine. As this was over the New Year period, we did leave additional gifts of prosecco and a tub of festive chocolates which we hope you enjoyed. Property Owner

  • "It would have been good to have control of heating as it did turn colder."

Very noisy boiler. Cottage immaculate and very clean.

Thank you for your feedback. The heating can be adjusted on each radiator by using the +/- buttons but if you were having problems, then we could have been there in 30 minutes if you had called. The property is all electric and doesn't have a boiler so it must be the immersion heater for the hot water that you thought was noisy and apologise if this disrupted your stay. But we are glad you found the cottage clean and immaculate. The owners. Property Owner

  • "This holiday cottage was everything we could’ve asked for and more !"

Amazing location, which was a great base for everything we wanted to do. As soon as we walked in to the house we could tell how clean everything was, which really put our minds at ease especially given the current situation. The lockbox for the keys was easy to find and access, although we did find the front door locks really quite stiff so keep this in mind when you are unlocking/locking the door! The cottage was probably the best equipped cottage I’ve ever stayed in, we had everything we could possibly need. Two fantastic sized bedrooms one with a wonderful en suite, and the main bathroom was fantastic as well. The cottage garden is a lovely addition and it was nice to sit up there on the warm summer evening- bare in mind though you can only access it by going through the neighbours garden, but this didn’t bother us at all! Claire and Martin left a little guide on good local pubs, and instructions on how to use some of the appliances which was much appreciated ! All in all we have all said if we come back to the peaks we will definitely be staying here again!

We would certainly book to go there again (something we never do as we have always gone to different places no matter how much we enjoyed ourselves previously). Just book it no matter how much in advance, you will love it.
