The property

This fully modernised large farmhouse is located on a working farm close to the village of Ripley in Derbyshire.

Set over two floors, this large property provides an ideal getaway for large groups looking for a party, hen night or stag weekend.

The ground floor features a large kitchen that comes well equipped for the sixteen people that the property can accommodate, as well as a separate dining room which also seats sixteen.

There's a downstairs shower room, an additional room which doubles up as a bedroom with a sofabed that sleeps two, and a large sitting room with custom seating to accommodate sixteen people.

The upper floor has six bedrooms (all doubles with zip & link double beds) of which all have en suite shower facilities and one a roof terrace as well.

There is also a family bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin.

There is a large, fully enclosed garden outside, with ample off road parking and a double garage.

There is a large lawned area and a patio area with furniture and barbecue facilities.

Although the property is quite secluded, it is within easy walking distance of a local pub, shop and restaurant.

Boasting fantastic countryside views, the property is within driving distance of local attractions including Chatsworth House and Alton Towers.

Ideally located for a party atmosphere, this property is large enough to accommodate groups who are looking to celebrate an event in style.

About the location


Ambergate 4 miles; Matlock 10 miles; Derby 11.5 miles.

Ripley is a traditional market town with lots of interesting little shops and a lovely selection of pubs and restaurants, home to the 3000-yard long Butterley Tunnel, a stretch of the Cromford Canal. Visit Butterley Reservoir for a day out bird watching, a twitcher’s dream, or simply wander the footpath, taking in the scenery. Visit the Pit Top Park, with its beautiful open grassed spaces and children's play area with paddling pool and bandstand, where you can catch a brass band playing on summery Sunday afternoons, just the spot for a rest and an ice cream! Ripley is an excellent base for visiting the Derbyshire Dales; the area is popular with visitors and provides a good base for exploring the Peak District. Just a couple of miles away is the home of Denby pottery, along with Heage Windmill. Don’t miss a visit to the World Heritage Site of Cromford, home to the famous Arkwright Mills. Just on from there is the resort of Matlock, set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, which has been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Locally, there are a host of excellent restaurants and traditional old pubs as well as attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Families can also enjoy fun-filled days out to magnificent Chatsworth House, a cable car ride to admire the views at the Heights of Abraham, Alton Towers, Carsington Reservoir and the lovely market town of Bakewell.
