    Clean, central, modern, parking, a lovely big comfortable bed everything you could need and the lovely touch of bread, milk, eggs etc being there when you arrive. The only small thing we missed was somewhere to hang your towel when showering. Would definitely recommend and will book again.

    Its position is perfect and has off road parking which is important when the property is in or close to the town centre. The facilities in the apartment are everything you need and are modern and the bed was very comfortable and big. Eating places and supermarkets are within close walking distance. The owners are lovely people and were very helpful when we arrived. Thank you 32A for providing a lovely place for our first break.

    This is a lovely well looked after property in the heart of Buxton with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners Belinda and Nigel were very knowledgeable and were happy to provide ideas for where to eat and what to do. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this property for a break in the Peak District.

    The location was excellent and the hosts made every effort to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible, including leaving provisions such as bread and milk for our arrival, meaning we didn't have to rush straight out to a shop. There was lots of information about the local area provided, including walking directions and menus for local restaurants and takeaways. The owners also gave some personal recommendations for days out. The flat itself was spotless and had all the home comforts we needed. We would highly recommend this property and would be more than happy to stay here again in future.

  • "Really lovely flat underneath the owners house."

    They were very welcoming and gave us lots of tips about the local area. Great location for exploring Buxton and the Peaks in general. Around 10mins walk from the town centre and the supermarkets. Flat itself was clean and felt very safe in the current situation. Hand gel and wipes were provided and instructions and precautions to take.

  • "We had a great week at 32a, the owners Nigel and Belinda made us very welcome, and the apartment was just perfect, lots of un-expected extra's , of bread, eggs, butter, jam, cereals and coffee and tea too."

    Plenty of places to go in the area, We particularly enjoyed Crompton Mill, Chatsworth and Eyam the Plaque Village, and if you like walking plenty of walks for all abilities. Further afield we visited Holmfirth ( Last of the summer wine Country) Most enjoyable, if we come this way again , we wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

  • "We booked a few days in this apartment in early December as we were attending a concert and celebrating a birthday."

    The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was well appointed and nicely furnished. There was a generous welcome pack - eggs, milk, butter, bread and jam. Also plenty of tea bags and coffee. We were there during quite a cold spell but the apartment was warm. We visited Chatsworth and Hardwick Hall which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was useful to be able to park in the drive and walk to the concert venue. We had a really relaxing break. The apartment was close to shops and cafes but also in a quiet street. We would not hesitate to recommend number 32A and hope to return some time.

  • "32A is a wonderful place to stay."

    It is so close to the main part of Buxton, but you don't know it until you walk there and it is such a pleasant short walk. In side 32A is warm, clean and spacious, I especially liked the walk-in wardrobe (I called it my dressing room). It's a great base for walking, with many good walks close by. And there are plenty of leaflets to help you decide what to do if you don't want to walk. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She came and introduced herself on our first evening and informed us some of the good places to eat. We had a great week at 32A and intended to go back again.

    Loved the huge bed. It was conveniently situated in the “HighTown”, only a few minutes walk from shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and another five minutes walk down to the Crescent and Opera House etc. A welcome pack of goodies was a delightful surprise.

    The unit is bigger than expected and very well appointed with everything, and more, that we hoped for. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Only a 2 minutes walk from upper Buxton market square, and a 5 minutes walk to lower Buxton, with lots of places to eat and drink, suiting a wide range of tastes. Although a very wet week, we found lots to do in and around the area, and had a really relaxing time. We would recommend 32A to couples, looking for a get away with all the creature comforts. If we find our selves in Buxton again, we would certainly wish to make a return booking.

  • "A perfectly positioned property, only five minutes from the centre of Buxton."

    Shops and pubs and eating places nearby. Parking on the owner's driveway was very welcome. We had a warm welcome from the owner and she provided a generous helping of basic foodstuffs for our use. The apartment was clean and comfortable and catered well for visitors, with local information and books and dvds for spare time.

    Many local restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. Maps and walking guides available within the apartment, as well as some books and quite a few DVD's (should it be raining too hard). Welcome pack of bread, jam, milk etc. left by the owner. Comfortable bed, and a powerful spacious shower with lots of hot water.

    Pleasant location close to amenities. Wi Fi connection appreciated. Owners very friendly and spent time making us feel welcome on our arrival. A collection of foods made available to help us settle in to our week stay. No issues with staying warm as we visited in a cooler part of the year Will definitely make application to use this site again. Definitely recommended. Car parking made available in owners driveway as street parking could have proved difficult. Facility all on one level a good feature.

    From then on all okay. Stayed at 32A South Avenue for 4 nights. Excellent apartment, comfortable, very clean and had all we needed. Belinda (owner) was very friendly and helpful.Off road parking. About 10 minutes walk to the centre of Buxton with many restaurants and cafes. . We will be returning.

About the location

BUXTON

Tideswell 7 miles; Bakewell 12 miles; Matlock 21 miles.

It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
