We were already away in Scotland when the property owner contacted us to tell us that the Castleton Suite was double booked and would we either like a refund or a cost-free upgrade to the apartment on the first floor of the building.
We took the latter and were very impressed by the scale and facilities of the apartment together with the high level of finish and fit-out. The location is excellent for easy walking distance access to the centre of Buxton and some very good restaurants. The hospitality of the host was generous with a welcome pack to make it extra easy to settle in. We took a guided tour of Buxton with our Loughborough University friends which was genuinely brilliant, bringing to life the history of one of the UK's leading spa towns.
