  • "Excellent. Very well maintained and spotlessly clean."

  • "Lovely house loads of room both inside and enclosed garden fantastic could see it being well used in the hotter brighter weather."

Somewhere secure to let the dog out. Nice to be able to park on drive outside of the front door. Within 10 mins walk of central Buxton only used car one day for trip to Bakewell. Went to Poole caverns about 5 mins up the same road as house saved on parking at venue, that also lets dogs into the caves. We will be back.

  • "We we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property."

As I believe others have mentioned the sofa would have been a bit of a squeeze for 4 people. Also the carpet is a little loose halfway up the stairs which may need looking at. Other than that we would highly recommend this property

  • "We had a fantastic stay!"

The cottage is gorgeous, very clean and tidy. The patio area is great for my dogs. We have two dogs and owner kindly accepted us although it states only one dog welcome. We stayed for five nights, plenty of amenities provided that you would not run out of. The location can’t be better, it is five minutes away from temple field and easy to reach Soloman temple.

  • "Can't fault Netherdale House."

It was comfortable, warm and only 10 minutes walk into the centre of Buxton. The garden was ideal for my daughter's dog and parking was a bonus, right outside the front door. Would definitely stay there again.

  • "One of the nicest properties I’ve stayed in when in Buxton."

The property was in a great location and very clean and well equipped with the air fryer being a nice extra to have. The parking was very convenient though I would recommend reversing into the space to make exiting easier past other cars. My only slight issue was with the sofa. This would be a tight squeeze for four people. The outdoor seating area and the bifold doors are a bonus in good weather.

  • "Wonderful house in a brilliant location."

The house had everything we needed for a comfortable week in Buxton, Ed went the extra mile and bought a high chair for us to use which we really appreciate. Spotless throughout and we enjoyed being a short walk to the Pavilion Gardens and into town.

  • "The house is situated in a perfect location, close to amenities and the Peak District."

We are so happy it was pet friendly too, the enclosed garden is perfect! The house is lovely and provided us some much needed R&R between our walking adventures. The bifolding doors are so lovely, we couldn’t work how to open it all at first but we got there in the end (instructions maybe good?) Cleaning items are provided which is perfect, so we cleaned & hoovered before we left. We would 100% book Netherdale House again in the future.

  • "Fantastic property!"

Highly recommend. The amenities and description of the property was exactly what we expected and more. Great location and lots to do locally. A special thanks to Ed, you were so kind to us during our stay and went above and beyond. Thank you so much, will be recommending to all our friends and family.

  • "A lovely property in a smashing location close to Parks, Dog walks and amenities."

We did have a problem with downstairs electrical sockets tripping out on two occasions. It would also be nice to have table mats and coasters to prevent marking the furniture with hot cups and plates and a full length mirror but otherwise it was a smashing place and we would book again.

A smash place, and we’d love to stay again, but give us a 3.4? We have contracts with electricians and plumbers all you’d have to do is call the number in the welcome brochure and someone comes out within the hour, you didn’t even let us know but then leave us a poor review On the electrical fuses tripping, we’ve had several guests stay after you and not tripped once, and I’ve had my electritian out twice checking all sockets, no faults found. They’ve advised me that it must have been what you were plugging into the circuit Thank you anyway Property Owner

  • "Such a beautiful new house with all modern facilities."

Even a lovely area to sit outside. It had everything needed for a week away and more. It located in the perfect place to explore Buxton and all it has to offer. It’s only a short walk to the gardens, Solomon’s temple and Buxton centre. We’ll be back.

Very nice furnishings and comfortable seating and bed. Would definitely stay here again and the car chargers are an added bonus for electric car owners. Property is also well situated for the gardens and town. Would recommend.

  • "One of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in!"

The open plan layout downstairs was perfect for a family holiday and very spacious. The kitchen was fantastic and well equipped, with plenty of storage, an absolutely brilliant range cooker and a decent sized fridge freezer. There was even an air fryer! There is a lovely large dining table for eating and also a breakfast bar on the kitchen island. Great sized TV, something often overlooked in a holiday home. The garden is compact; but has a lovely table and chairs, two sun loungers and an egg chair - and it does catch the afternoon sun, which I know we'd have enjoyed if only there had been more of it during our week

  • "Edward from Netherdale house was very helpful."

I rang him about a week before our stay and asked him about a cot for the 2-year old, which was not on the list of things in the property. He went out and bought one. Excellent service.

  • "The bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean."

Sofa could have done with a hoover, fridge was definitely not as clean as it should have been. There was plenty of china but minimal cutlery and utensils. WiFi was shocking. Electric charging point great. Location to town was fantastic. Parking can be tricky if other people are staying and park inconviently otherwise good - marked bays might be helpful. Perhaps a mirror in the second bedroom. Already been mentioned but blinds needed downstairs on the patio door. Garden needs a little attention, astro turf didn't fit . Also cushions for furniture kept out all the time. Beds very comfy, Overall good location, comfy stay Henry the hoover might need some freshener in it as it was little smelly when used.

Thank you for all your comments, we’ve acted on everything, Get some numbered bays painted on the floor, WiFi is in the process of switching providers so there won’t be a Tempary router We’ve been waiting on custom made blinds on the bi folds for a few weeks now but they have been ordered Everything else has been rectified too, sorry if it affected your stay with us Thank you Property Owner

  • "The property was very comfortable, for the most part."

Unfortunately, the toilet seat kept slipping when in use. The patio doors are lovely and give much light, but I would recommend some kind of curtain for privacy and to keep the heat inside.

Hi thank you for staying with us, you should have let us know about the toilet seat we have an on call handy man that would have come out straight away, it was tightened as soon as we saw your review, yes we have had some custom fit blinds made for the bi folds, we’ve been waiting on a fitting date for weeks, if you’d like to come back I gaurantee they’ll be fitted Thanks again Property Owner

About the location

BUXTON

Tideswell 7 miles; Bakewell 12 miles; Matlock 21 miles.

It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.
