Nice little house in a really convenient location.

Beds were really comfortable Main bathroom needs a lick of paint, and the TV in the lounge didn't allow for streaming over the Internet - at least, we couldn't get it to work - but aside from that, it was good value in an attractive location. We appreciated the welcome basket. One piece of advice - try not to park under the trees out front. My car was covered in sticky tree sap.

No 59 is in a great Location lots of walks straight from your doorstop, a park straight out the back door ideal for the dog and 10 minutes in to town.

It has been beautifully decorated and the beds and sofas are so comfy. We had a great stay and would like to return, however there was 2 banister spindles missing and the bathroom paint is peeling off with some damp on the walls.

Lovely property centrally situated for the local facilities, restaurants and shops.

Great for your dog as recreation ground at rear and large well shaded park just 10mins away . The surrounding countryside is stunning with so much to do for families and older generation . Only one issoue it is on a main road so can be a little noisy with the windows open which is hard not to do in hot weather. Would we come back the answer is yes.

Lovely clean accommodation and very well equipped.

Located just a short stroll from Buxton centre and the owners run two very nice traditional and cozy pubs in the centre. Highly recommend and the wood burner in the lounge was the perfect addition after a day out on the Tissington / High Peak cycle trails. Can’t fault the property and highly recommend it.

Very good value.

Beautifully decorated but does have paint peeling in bathroom which is unsightly but did not feel unclean. Becareful with temperature of shower= very hot if someone turns a tap on. Handy for walking into town and walking to cavern. Welcome pack and discount at pub nice touch( food excellent!). Park at back handy for kids. Kitchen lovely but fridge very small so struggled with storing shopping. Shops close so should have just picked food up daily. Really enjoyed stay thank you

Amazing house and amazing location.

House was perfect for our 5 people and 2 dogs. Welcome gift was amazing, bread, butter, jam, milk, crips, plus tea and coffee, even dog treats. All the rooms were lovely and comfy, plenty of room. Stairs in these houses are small and steep but to be expected. Beds lovely and comfy, nice park behind house, easy short walk to the town centre, easy walk to the country park, parking outside the house. Lovely log burner in the lounge too. 2 toilets. Owners even own the pub down the road and gave us discount on a meal, and the meal was amazing, steak pie was 10 out of 10. They really thought of everything to make you feel welcome. Highly recommend this property.

We had a lovely weekend at no.

59 recently! The house was beautifully decorated and felt very cosy from the moment we entered. Unfortunately, there were a couple of down sides to the property which I feel are worth others knowing before booking, the first being the obvious damp problem which made for an unpleasant smell downstairs and was felt particularly by those in our party who have asthma. Secondly, both sets of stairs are extremely steep - the older member of our group really struggled with getting up/down the stairs. Despite these, everyone in our group still had a lovely weekend; the beds were all very comfortable, the house was equipped with everything we (including the dog!) could have needed and more, and we really appreciated the effort and care that has clearly gone into decorating the property.

It was a cosy comfortable house. Although on a busy main road, we hardly noticed the traffic noise. The park at the back of the property was so convenient for walking the dogs first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Loved the log fire in the evening and welcome pack was most welcome.

The good points were the owners left some nice little extras like butter, milk, wine and crisps.

Some parts of the property were finished off to a nice standard and it has potential. However, there is a damp problem within the property, made apparent by the marks on the walls and the fusty damp smell throughout (especially downstairs). The property wasn't clean. Upon arrival I noticed crumbs on the kitchen floor, particularly round the fridge. The fridge was grubby and needed a clean too. There were some dog treats on the floor in the living room and there was dust buildup in the trickle vents, on loads of the skirting boards, in the vents in the bathroom (above the upstairs toilet was gross, if the fan came on dust blew all over the top of the toilet). There were bits on the bedroom carpets too. The front door doesnt lock (the porch door does) so it didnt feel safe. There was also grass and mud up the back door. The bins outside were overflowing too. Dish brush and sponge were used ao we ended up replacing.

We have just returned from a week stay.

The home is lovely and had everything we needed. Lovely starter pack of food, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The stairs are very steep so please be mindful if you have mobility issues. The courtyard is also very small with some very steep steps out to the back. However there is a lovely park just at back of house which is perfect for dog walk. The location is great - so close to town, with lots of great sights, pubs and restaurants and shops. The traffic noise out the front of property can be an issue at night if you’re not used to living on a busy road. Buxton had so much to offer and we wouldn’t hesitate to returning here and this property. The house was very clean except the floors down stairs which I need to clean with floor wipes as socks became very dirty very quickly on first night. A hoover would have been beneficial.

Couldn't find a teapot!

Otherwise kitchen well equipped. Road noisy with heavy traffic but we got used to it and it didn't spoil our stay. The treads on the stairs were narrow so we had to be careful going up and down to the Upper floors. The playing fields at the rear were good for walking our dog. Beds very comfortable. A well equipped cottage with good eating places nearby, especially the Sun and Number 5.

Really lovely house, very close by to shops, pubs, and parks.

Lovely food package upon arrival, was perfect for the first night and made the shopping trip lighter. Generally very clean and cosy, would definitely come back here.

Had a fantastic stay at number 59 last weekend celebrating my Dad's 70th birthday in the Peak District.

Very well located in Buxton and close to the Peak District. Accommodation is lovely and cosy and more than enough space for 6 adults and a dog. Nicely decorated and clean, great facilities and welcome hamper comprising of bread, cookies, wine, butter, milk was much appreciated. Only points to note are the staircases are very steep and the outdoor space is a very small yard, so still needed to take the dog out to the toilet etc. Backs onto a large park though which was ideal. Wouldn't hesitate staying here again or recommending to anyone else! Thank you so much.

Individually rooms were good.

The kitchen in particular was well equipped. The stairs were scary. Had to go down them sideways through fear of falling. Kitchen and living room weren’t big enough for the number of people accommodated. Lovely welcome pack was greatly appreciated.

Clean,comfortable and well equipped holiday let, but unfortunately the traffic noise kept us awake at night.

Think there should have been a warning on a busy road. However we liked Buxton, went on some excellent long walks in stunning countryside and generally had a good holiday.

Very cosy and and an amazing spot for exploring Buxton, everything was clean and tidy, had everything we needed.

Emma was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. One spindle on the stairs was broken apart from that no issues whatsoever

Lovely place.

Super convenient. Comfy beds. Really cosy despite the cold weather. Have to give a special mention to the quality of the towels!! We will be back. Loved the 2 pubs we visited - The Old Sun and The New Inn - both a short stroll.

This is the perfect spot for a chilled out Peaks break.

It has everything you need, is close to town for a pub dinner or you can cook in. Beautifully finished. Host was helpful when we couldn’t find the key safe as well. We’ll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No 59!

The cottage was easy to find and we had a wonderful welcome package awaiting us upon arrival. It was spotlessly clean and cosy inside and we loved the proximity to all the supermarkets and to downtown Buxton (although it’s uphill back). We toured the area and did a couple of Peak District hikes, but the weather was not always nice to us. We did enjoy the views though! Beds and amenities were really good, too. No complaints here and we would definitely recommend to couples with or without children alike.

59. The house lovely and was perfect for our family. Its situated in an ideal position to explore the peak district. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

A lovely welcoming pack. The house was ideal for us and much closer to the town than we thought. The owner also has a pub/restaurant in town which is good with very friendly and helpful staff. Met the owner in there and he was keen to know how we were and if everything was good. Would certainly recommend

LOVELY COZY COTTAGE IN GREAT LOCATION TO WALK INTO BUXTON TOWN AND LOCAL PUBS AND RESTAURENTS.

THE COTTAGE HAS BEEN DECORATED VERY NICELY WITH EVERYTHING IN IT FOR HOLIDAY NEEDS. VERY COMFY BEDS AND BED LINEN. WILL DEFINATELY RETURN.
