The apartment was very well appointed and extremely comfortable.

Superb location with lots to see and do from the doorstep. Owners very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend Ithica restaurant and Gail's bakery both 2 mins walk and the Buxton brewery shop in the shopping centre offering taste tests before you buy. The crescent experience tour is definitely worth doing - very interesting and informative and includes a virtual reality jaunt. 10/10

If you're looking for a great base to explore the Peak District from, this accommodation would be a great choice.

The living area is substantial and comfortable and the whole apartment is surprisingly large. Having a parking bay was very much welcomed, too. As others have said, the 9am checkout is incredibly early and given the time, we'd have expected the property to be cleaned thoroughly but some areas were missed. We'd not usually point this out but given the checkout time, we thought it was worth raising. The mattress really needs replacing and the fridge/freezer is still out of order. There are replacements in the utility room but these are down a step should you have mobility issues. We enjoyed our stay but a little TLC here and there would make the property even better. Can't fault the location, though.

Lovely apartment, perfectly situated within walking distance of all local amenities, including a supermarket and restaurants.

We had a very comfortable stay, with everything we needed, including an invaluable parking space. The pool table was a great addition too. It was so lovely and relaxing, sitting and looking out of the huge windows watching the world go by. The owners were lovely and communication was great. We would definitely stay again.

The flat is situated in an ideal place in the centre of Buxton with a great car parking place,and has a great heating system.

We were disapointed on arrival to find out the American fridge/freezer was not working, a small fridge and freezer were provided but not with the same capacity. We also found the tumble dryer was not provided . Once we used the Shower the drain was blocked. We all understand problems can arise but we feel we should have been notified prior to our holiday so we could be prepared and not having to deal with all these issues on arrival. We also feel the flat requires detail cleaning especially, cooker door glass, mould around shower tray, It is a nice flat but just needs some T.L.C.

Lovely apartment — I really enjoyed my stay here.

It was was clean, well-maintained, and had a warm, comfortable feel throughout. The location was great, making it easy to get around and access nearby shops and amenities. Everything I needed was provided, and the overall atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would happily stay again.

My only negative would be that the mattresses were too soft but obviously this is personal choice and others would be pleased with the softness.

A really great apartment with a very helpful owner.

The location is superb and the dedicated parking space is invaluable. Everything is only a few steps away - supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and cafes and a thriving Main Street. Would highly recommend this property as a base for exploring the town and the fabulous surrounding area by car or very good public transport.

fantastic location , good size , fabulous kitchen and very friendly owner the only down side was we found using the parking bollards very tricky and thought the shower was a bit small but would book again.

This was a nice property and very comfortable as well as being in a central location which meant most attractions, shops and restaurants were in a short walking distance.

In common with many Sykes properties we had to vacate by 9am on departure day. As pensioners with our young grandson, we knew this would be difficult so we left the day before. We did inform the property owners/agents. We liked the Sky TV especially as the cricket was on! The en suite shower was very good and the beds comfortable. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped but no welcome pack - fortunately Waitrose is just a few minutes walk away! We couldn’t turn one of the living room lights off and we did report it. It was on when we arrived! Fairly quiet but some low level noise from large vehicles accessing the nearby shopping centre. Not intrusive though. Also considerable noise from a herd of elephants who were staying above us on our first night. Much quieter after they be left! Some steps to access the property which won’t suit all as they are quite steep. Enjoyed our stay though. We think Sykes should review the 4pm arrival and 9am departure time though. Previous week we were in a hotel in London and didn’t need to depart until midday.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crows Nest Buxton and can recommend to anyone who wants a relaxed stay in a central location.

The accomodation was first class and had every facility at hand. The owner, Howard, was very friendly and helpful being near to the apartment and will certainly book again in the future.
