48 Rock Mill, is a wonderful place to stay!

It is an excellent base to explore the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire. The apartment is well equipped for everything you need, and is very clean and comfortable. This is a reasonably new build, and is finished to a very high spec. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing!

The apartment was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. We had everything we needed for our long weekend stay with our little dog. They even have a dog-washing station in the building, which was incredibly handy! The owners were so helpful and friendly, and they kindly sent us some great tips on local places to go for walks. There are also lots of attractions and tourist spots around the village, so there was plenty to see and do. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be booking again in the future. Highly recommended!

The apartment was immaculate, comfortable, and extremely well equipped, genuinely one of the best places we’ve stayed. Although we didn’t use the communal facilities, they were clearly high quality and very well maintained.The location is perfect for getting around and exploring the area. We would definitely return and highly recommend 48 Rock Mill to anyone looking for a top‑class stay. The bonus - you can take your dog!

Accommodation is lovely, luxurious and very clean.

Milk sachets in the fridge for when you arrive, washing up liquid, sponge to wash up etc. We stayed during the recent heatwave, fans were provided, and the blinds on the living room windows were a godsend. Easy location for travelling around from, nearest shop a mile away. Lovely place and hosts were amazing with communication.

Amazing place to stay everywhere in the building and flat is immaculately clean.

The flat is so comfortable with everything you could need, especially the coffee machine. It’s in a great location for walking, we did lots of walks straight from the property and it’s only a quick drive away from Chatsworth. Local chippy 5 minutes down the road is well worth a visit. We hope to return soon.

Superb apartment, definitely the best holiday accommodation we've stayed in.

Immaculate in every way - clean, comfortable, accessible. Lots of lovely touches such as a charging disc on one of the bedside tables, blackout blinds for all the windows, space for washbags in the bathroom, even a shelf and small ring dish in the bedroom to leave jewellry overnight. Also provided washing-up liquid, a bowl and sponges, a tea towel, salt, pepper and oil for cooking, kitchen roll - I've been to some (expensive) cottages that don't bother with any of that! The only negative - not about the apartment itself - is the horribly busy A road that runs through Stoney Middleton, with big lorries thundering along it from 5am in the morning. However, we would definitely go back to this property, it was so good.

Great location, only a short drive to anywhere in the Peak District.

The apartment was clean and well presented. Everything was perfect and we have a very enjoyable stay which lasted for a whole week. Reception was particularly friendly and made our stay all the more satisfying. Will definitely return.

Lovely apartment,clean & modern in a lovely area

Very comfortable apartment, as the listing described.

Clean, warm when needed - we had great weather - and super bathroom and shower. The only thing we missed was a dishwasher If a slimline one could be fitted in, it would be perfect! The location was great for exploring the Peak District, although we knew the area, but many of the best attractions are just a short drive away. Our small dog was comfortable and he settled with no problem. Owners are thoughtful too. Would recommend this property.

We had a short break at 48 Rock Mill in April 2026.

The owner of the property was attentive with just the right level of communication prior to and during our stay. We found the flat to be spotless and furnished to a high standard and ideally placed for walks - we went north and south without having to move the car, and would have walked to Chatsworth House but for a poor weather forecast (we drove - 8 minutes). We’ll definitely be returning!

The apartment was fantastic.

Everything was of a high standard. Being January and out all day walking it was lovely to come back to a warm and cozy apartment. Messages and communication with Debbie were great as her responses were very quick. I would highly recommend this apartment and will definitely be booking it again.

The apartment was clean, cozy and warm, comfortable bed and everything worked. Good communication from Debbie and Paul, to provide info and local knowledge on walks etc. The finish on the apartment is of a high standard and we would definitely stay here again.

it was exactly as displayed and ideal for me, I am mobility impaired and the lift was great only the weather could have been better but it was November.

The apartment was well equipped and clean with a comfortable if small bed.

However, there was no signal for the tv and therefore no tv channels. We contacted both Sykes and the Letting agents a number of times - to try and get the problem sorted. We had no response from either. Very disappointing. There should be some easy way of contacting someone to help.

Beautiful apartment that was clean and comfortable.

Great base for exploring the surrounding areas. Was messaged by the host to see how we're doing and offered knowledge if walks and best places to eat. Overall a very enjoyable stay and will definitely return in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 48 Rockmill Apartments.

It was modern and stylish and most comfortable. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency with our dog so had to contact the owners for details of the local night vets, which they provided straight away. They were most sympathetic and checked up.on him the following day. They couldn't have been nicer.

Just perfect.

We loved 48 Rock Mill and would love to return! Every detail has been thought of. It was spotlessly clean and the linen and towels smelt fresh and lovely. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Perfect location for exploring with walks straight from the doorstep. We really really loved staying here and have already recommended it to friends and family. Thank you x

Owners communicated well before, on arrival, prior to leaving at the end of our stay and to thank us for leaving the apartment in such a tidy state. They gave us excellent information about a walking App together with their favourite local walks. The receptionist in the building was very friendly and the dog washing facility and free heated lockers were brilliant to use after a rainy wet walk on one of our days. The apartment is located in a super position to explore the Peak District and all the furnishings and household goods were ‘high’ end ! The bed was exceptionally comfortable too. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in the Peak District!

A delightful apartment at 48 Rock Mill.

We loved the modern apartment, everything you needed for your stay. The bed was comfortable so slept well, the shower was good. The apartment & building clean & well looked after. The Receptionist is friendly. The Cupola Restaurant next door is good. We hope to return again next year. We had a lovely holiday, good location.

This is a geat base for exploring the Peak District.

The apartment is exceptionally comfortable, and we found it peaceful despite being on a small A road, as it is at a rear corner of the Mill and there is little traffic at night. We slept really well on the comfy bed, enjoyed relaxing there in the evening and loved all the design features, from the Derby crockery to the Sack It footrests. Communication with the owner and site manager was very good and we would certainly book again.

Very comfortable and clean holiday accommodation.

Appreciated the easy parking. We did experience problems with the door lock, and always had to fiddle around with it when trying to open the door. On one occasion I arrived home before my husband and wasn't able to open the door, so had to wait 20 minutes for him to arrive.

48 Rock Mill is an absolutely fabulous apartment in an amazing location.

On entering no.48 it was a wow moment for us, showing pristine furniture and facilities. Lots of thought has gone into the apartment to make it a memorable visit for guests, from luxurious soft towels, a very comfortable bed with fresh linen, a fully functional kitchen complete with accessories needed for your stay, a modern shower room with an amazing shower to of course a balcony with table and chairs to enjoy a drink in the afternoon/evening sunshine. Consideration has also been given to our K9 friends by providing dog bowls and dog treats in the apartment. Communication from the owners is exceptional and friendly, from the detailed check in information to the optional suggestions for places to visit, eat and walks to nearby places of interest. The apartment block has amazing facilities from ample car parking for guests, some EV charging points, secure bike storage, a bike wash, a boot wash outdoor area, lockable heated boot lockers, a dog wash bath with a shower head and dryer, to a play area for young children. The apartment and facilities were so comfortable that it felt like a dog loving 5star hotel. We look forward to our future visits.

We had a a lovely stay at 48 Rock Mill, the apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The quality was 5 star and I would have no problem recommending it to friends and booking again. We used all the local restaurants and takeaways and all we're good. Breakfast at Cupola and dinner at Curry Cottage really stood out.

48 Rock Mill is a little gem of an apartment, it’s was modern, clean and comfortable.

It is so well thought out and little things like wireless chargers for phones, make all the difference. I went with my dog, and the complex is amazing with a locker room, dog wash etc. there are lots of amazing walks in the village or a short drive away, and there’s some great food on the doorstep. I would recommend this apparent, and will definitely be staying again.

Warm, bright, comfortable , nicely furnished, stylish apartment.Little balcony if you are lucky with the weather. The kitchen has a combined oven and microwave. Took a little getting used to but the instructions are in one of the cupboards and we had no problems. Good range of quality utensils, pans, baking trays etc. Loved the underfloor heating in the shower room .Good location , in a village with a pub, cafe with early bar, fish and chips and Indian restaurant. The Spar at Calver has 'Cook' meals , a butcher and proper bread . Pricey but very convenient. Near to Eyam and the lovely Padley Gorge.It was great having E V chargers available and for hikers there are bike and boot washes and heated lockers to dry clothes. Would definitely stay here again if we return to the Peaks.

There are electric car charges on-site if needed. There is a dog shower & drier and also heated boot lockers. Good spacious and accessible car park. Very central in the Peak District. We would highly recommend it. Thank you.

Perfectly located apartment within the Peak District.

On 1st walking into 48 Rock Mill we were extremely impressed on how immaculately presented the apartment was. All furnishing were extremely comfortable & of a very high standard, we felt that we could've stayed longer. To add that all the other communal areas within Rock Mill were kept to an extremely high standard. Boot room with heated lockers, dog wash station, also a full jar of dog treats (yes, our dog was spoilt), poo bags were also to hand, boot wash, bike wash & store plus outdoor seating with bbq area., children's play area, this all in all made it a perfect stay for the great outdoors. We also loved the fact that we received messages checking in with us to ensure everything was OK, plus receiving recommendations of places to visit. Such a great base to explore from, we will definitely be back.

Fantastic luxury apartment, beautifully furnished, great location particularly if you enjoy hiking, there are many great hikes within a 15-20 min drive.

The host is great, connecting via WhatsApp before we arrived, recommending local pubs and restaurants, walks, things to do, We stayed with our dog, the facilities in the boot room with dog wash, heated lockers when returning from a day out are outstanding. The Cupola Restaurant next door is very good, we had breakfast and lunch there. I would highly recommend this property and location, we will definitely back soon.

The perfect getaway.

As with every stay there are pros and cons. I'll start with the cons - And now the pros - even before check in communication with the host were very personal and well thought through. We've driven through the location many times, so we knew where we were going. Key pick up was easy, the receptionist was friendly and helpful, and we found our room easily enough. From the moment we opened the door we knew we were in for a real treat. The apartment is furnished to a high standard, with wonderful little details like heat protector for straighteners and a welcome pack. The living space has a very modern feel but is also very comfortable and cosy. The kitchen is well equipped with high quality appliances and accessories, we had everything you could possibly need. The bedroom is again very modern but extremely comfortable, the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. We both slept really soundly. There is ample space for clothing and luggage. The shower room again is finished to a high standard with all matching accessories. Fantastic shower, very powerful and the towels were lovely and soft. The balcony just adds that finishing touch. We had lovely weather so sitting outside with our morning cuppa was the icing on the cake. Really enjoyed our stay we left feeling thoroughly refreshed. We cannot recommend or rate this place highly enough we shall be returning customers.

There isn’t one thing I could pick fault with.

Theapartment we had was fantastic from the kitchen area to the amazing bed rock mill is also a great base if your planning on doing some hiking as there are some beautiful walks near by and some incredible places around 20mins away like Derwent water and Padley gorge. Will definitely be returning in the future

Fantastic apartment, beautifully appointed and well equipped and we had a really relaxing week.

The location is perfect and an ideal base for great walks and ideally placed to visit other villages in the area. Local pub and supermarket are welcoming and have all you need for your stay. Electric charging points, boot wash and heated lockers all add to making this a great place to stay.

This is such a fantastic place to stay.

The apartment is light, airy and super clean. Really comfy bed with crisp linen and super fluffy towels. The Cupola (2 mins walk from the apartment) does fab breakfasts and lunches and the local pub (10 mins walk) offers fantastic food. An excellent spot for visiting different areas in the Peak District. We will definitely return!
