  • "We had a great time staying at Grove Farm Barn."

A perfect base to explore the surrounding area with our two children. The owners were happy to set up the travel cot, stair gate and provide the high chair for our 1 year old. Appliances and fixtures were all of excellent quality and the info and tourism leaflets were a great help. Thank you for a great stay.

  • "I found the cottage to be very comfortable and had everything I wanted during my stay."

It was situated in a lovely area that was well equipped for local shops, and main links to travel further. I liked that there was a bath as well as a shower. The bed was really comfortable and there was ample storage throughout. There was off road safe parking outside cottage. This was a lovely cottage which I felt totally at home. The hosts were on hand for any queries but not intrusive. I would totally recommend this cottage and I would love to go back.

A number of steps within the house maybe worth a check for some. Our only slight disappointment was that the outside table/seating was not 'within' the 'garden' as we imagined but it was still a very pleasant spot. The hosts were there but not in the least intrusive.

The view was lovely but if you’re not very mobile going out walking is quite hilly so we used the car we noticed there was a bus went passed so it would have been handy to have had a bus timetable in the cottage. Saying that we enjoyed our stay.

Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Grove Farm is ideally situated for exploring Derbyshire, with Chatsworth, Matlock and Bakewell only a few miles away. I can't recommend this cottage highly enough.

  • "Lovely property in a great location to explore the Peaks/Dales."

Very comfy/cozy with lovely owners who live on site next door and so are on hand for any issues. We had a burst shower head - which was replaced within a few hours. Property was very clean on arrival and as described. Lots space for cars and a lovely view to enjoy the sunshine (if and when it choses to make an appearance!). Property is quite small so if you are into your outdoor pursuits and have loads of clothes and equipment you need to wash/dry/store this may not be the right place for you (no utility, bike room etc) but that is evident from the photos on the listing so just something to be aware of and not a fault of the property in any way. Owners have been provided some feedback as to how to improve a few things, hopefully they will benefit those of you that stay here in the future. Great place, you shouldnt be disappointed if you book this place!!

  • "The cottage itself was beautifull and well equiped."

However it was a disappointment for us to notice that the cottage was situated in a residential area. From the pictures at the listing on your website we assumed that the cottage was located in a rural area. To find out that it was in a residential area was a disappointment for us. We missed the privacy we expected, the more because of how the windows were situated in the cottage. Persons on the road and living in house next to cottage were able to look inside the cottage. We also informed the owner about our views in that aspect.
