Whitecliffe Farm

Parwich 2 miles. Three lovely barn conversions with views over the beautiful surrounding Peak District countryside, next to the owners’ farmhouse, 2 miles from the pretty village of Parwich and 9 miles from Ashbourne. All three cottages offer warm and welcoming hideaways, with beams and lovely views to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Peak District. In fine weather, dine alfresco or stop and say hello to the owners’ pet donkeys and goats! The old village of Parwich is just a short distance from these Peak District cottages and has some beautiful old buildings and a super village pub. Enjoy cycling or walking on the nearby Tissington Trail, or a sightseeing tour of the Peak District National Park to include the market towns of Buxton or Ashbourne, Chatsworth House and nearby Dovedale. Alternatively, test your nerve at thrilling Alton Towers! These Parwich cottages make an ideal base to get away from it all and enjoy a country break.

About the location

Matlock 14 miles, Ticknall 24.7 miles, Bolsover 33.5 miles

Lying at the southern end of the Peak District, Ashbourne is a perfect example of an English market town - market place with stalls, eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses. In its heyday in the 18th century, the town was a fashionable social centre and many fine Georgian buildings remain from this period. Today the town still has much to offer in terms of restaurants and inns and is regarded as something of a haven for antique hunters - but don’t expect a bargain! For those who prefer more outdoor pursuits, the Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by. Alton Towers is just 20 minutes away.
