This could be a lovely property if more thought was put into the equipment provided and it given a complete deep clean.
For a property that can sleep up to 8 it only provided 5 mugs, 1 glass, no toaster as indicated in listing, seating in living room for 5, seating at the kitchen table for 6 and if you wanted to dine alfresco only 2 as there was only a very small table with 2 seats.
We stayed here as a party of 7, 4 adults and 3 children — and overall had a really enjoyable stay.
The house is lovely, spacious and in a great location, which made it very convenient for us. The property was mostly very clean and well presented. The only area that could be improved was the cleanliness of the ovens and fridge, which needed a more thorough clean before our stay. Overall, a nice house in a great location, and we would consider staying here again.
The house is beautiful but it needs more than a surface clean, the hoover has a moldy bag in it so couldn’t use that without the house stinking.
Does in the property are hard to open a shut (the living room door and the patio doors) the washer dryer only the washer works not the drying part. The garden is lively and spacious but only has two chairs and no washing line I think with the washing machine dryer not working it would be best to have a retractable line for guests to use. As I’ve already said it needs a deeper clean through the property as there is dust and cobwebs throughout. We felt the property is lively it just lacked a through deep clean and for the money we spent to stay there it wasn’t great. Also one day we had no hot water and the person who owns the home couldn’t be reached so I had to figure that out on my own which I did but really their should be more support through Sykes cottages and the owners. Again a lovely place but not as well kept as it should be
