Maerdy Cwtch is a welcoming cottage nestled on the outskirts of Solva, Pembrokeshire.

Suited to families and friends this abode is near Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, featuring partial ground-floor living and underfloor heating on the ground floor.

Arriving at Maerdy Cwtch, you pull in and park before stepping out into the Pembrokeshire countryside, where the fields sweep around Solva and the quietness of rural life settles the moment you open the car door.

With the National Park surrounding the area, the approach feels wonderfully open, and as you make your way to the entrance you can already imagine days spent exploring the coast before returning to this welcoming retreat.

Inside, the warmth from the ground-floor heating follows you through the hallway and draws you naturally toward the sitting room.

Here, you can settle on the sofas with your group, chatting about the day’s plans or unwinding in the gentle light that fills the space.

The room invites you to stretch out after long walks along the coastal path, perhaps with a film on or a book in hand while everyone begins to relax into their stay.

Moving through to the kitchen, the space offers everything you need to prepare meals together, whether you’re setting out ingredients for breakfast or preparing supper after returning from Solva Harbour.

With plenty of room to gather, it becomes a natural hub for planning outings, sharing stories, or simply enjoying good food made at your own pace.

Plates can be laid out while others pour drinks, and the room carries the easy flow of shared holiday moments.

From the kitchen, return to the hallway and step into the ground floor double bedroom, a restful place with its own en suite where you can freshen up before settling into bed.

The underfloor warmth makes this room especially inviting in the evenings, offering a comfortable retreat after days spent outdoors.

Upstairs, you find a second double bedroom and a twin room, both shaped for flexible sleeping arrangements.

You might open the windows to let in the countryside air or unpack beachwear ready for the following morning’s adventures.

Outside, the surrounding landscape becomes an extension of your stay.

You can wander into Solva at a leisurely pace, enjoying its places to eat, browse and pick up essentials, or set off on one of the many trails that weave through the National Park.
