The nearby village of Aberdaron offers a memorable coastal setting, centred around its well-known church and a long sandy beach that curves gently along the shoreline.
Days here can be spent wandering between welcoming pubs with restaurants, browsing the village convenience store, or stopping at cafés, pizza spots and ice cream parlours during the warmer months, with the added treat of a log-fired beach sauna close to the shore.
A National Trust centre and multiple car parks make it easy to explore the area, while the village sits directly on the Welsh Coastal Path, opening up opportunities for scenic coastal walks and boat trips out to Bardsey Island.
With the coast close at hand, the area naturally lends itself to relaxed seaside days, balanced with time back at the cottage, whether that means enjoying the garden or settling in beside the woodburning stove as evening draws in.
The location also makes it easy to discover other beautiful beaches along the peninsula, including Porthor, known for its whistling sands, along with Porth Lago and Porthdinllaen, all offering their own distinctive character.
Stepping straight out from the property, the Welsh Coastal Path invites exploration on foot, leading towards places such as Porth Ysgo, a secluded pebbly beach reached along a gentle stretch of coast.
The area is also well placed for surfing at Porth Neigwl, widely known as Hells Mouth, and lies on a popular cycling route.
Further afield, the resorts of Abersoch and Nefyn attract visitors with sandy beaches, coastal walks and waterside places to eat, while the larger towns of Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog offer marinas, beaches, independent shops, supermarkets with delivery options, cafés, restaurants and promenade walks along the seafront.
After days spent discovering North Wales, Seren Fach offers a relaxing peaceful and inviting place to return.
