  • "We booked this large house to have a family get together ranging from grandchildren to grandparents and a dog."

We had a fantastic time, it was so comfortable and spacious. So close to the river for beautiful walks and a stones throw from the centre of the village, it really had it all. The garden was brilliant too, secure with lovely views. The kitchen was bright and had everything you would need to cook large dinners, which we did every night to enjoy around the dining table. We will remember this place for a future booking.

Hi there, Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re thrilled to hear the whole family — from grandparents to grandchildren (and your pup!) — had such a wonderful time. It’s great to know you enjoyed the house, garden, and kitchen, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back anytime in the future. Warm regards, Sly Dream Holiday Homes Property Owner

Hi Roseann, Thank you so much for your kind feedback ! We’re really pleased to hear that you found the house comfortable and that your group enjoyed their stay. We did notice that you rated your stay 4 out of 5 stars, and we’d genuinely appreciate any insight you’d be happy to share on how we could make the experience even better in the future. We did check in during your stay and also reached out after checkout to ensure everything was going smoothly, and no concerns were raised at the time, but we’re always keen to improve where we can. • "Fabulous villa."

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend. One minor issue was the guide book mentioned logs would be provided from Sept to May however there were none . Had we known in advance we would have picked some up. But did not detract from a five star experience .

Thank you so much for your lovely review and we’re really glad to hear you had an amazing stay. I’m very sorry about the confusion with the logs. We recently updated our policies and have stopped providing logs as part of the stay, but it looks like the guidebook still reflected the old information and it has now been updated. For future reference, logs can be easily purchased locally, but I appreciate that clearer advance notice would have been helpful. Sly Dream Holiday Homes Property Owner

  • "The property had plenty of space for our family group of 6 adults and 4 children."

The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and the pans, dishes etc. were of a good size for our needs. The garden was a good space for the children to run around and the house is very well placed within Aberfeldy so access to shops, cafés, activities is easy. Offstreet parking was a bonus and we did manage to get three cars on the drive. There was a problem with the dishwasher on our penultimate day but the response from the managers was speedy and the issue did not affect our stay.

Hi Hilary, Thank you so much for your lovely and thoughtful feedback. We’re so glad to hear that the house worked well for your family and that you found the kitchen, garden, and location convenient for your stay in Aberfeldy. It sounds like you made great use of the space, and it’s wonderful to know the parking and facilities suited your group. We really appreciate your understanding about the dishwasher issue too — we’re glad our team was able to respond quickly and that it didn’t affect your stay. It was a pleasure hosting you all, and we hope to welcome you back again in the future. Property Owner

ABERFELDY

Pitlochry 14 miles; Perth 31 miles.

The market town of Aberfeldy stands on the River Tay amidst beautiful scenery in rural Perthshire. Famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy, the bridge built for General Wade in 1733 and, more recently, The Hills of Aberfeldy by Ed Sheeran, the town is just south of Glen Lyon, known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. There is much to attract the visitor in addition to the spectacular scenery. For example, a 10 mile riverside walk for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as numerous paths through forest and countryside. Furthermore, Aberfeldy is on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7. Whitewater rafting on the River Tay is an exhilarating way to enjoy the scenery and zip wiring, quad biking and bungee jumping are available in nearby Killiekrankie. Castle Menzies is a wonderful 16th century castle, now fully restored and open to visitors. Take a distillery tour at Dewar’s World of Whisky on the edge of town. Sample the many bars, restaurants and cafes in the town and explore the galleries and craft shops. Visit The Highland Chocolatier in the nearby village of Grandtully to enjoy world class chocolate created by a local master. The Scottish Crannog Centre offers a glimpse into Iron Age life and Loch Tay offers a multitude of watersports, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are on your doorstep. Within an easy hours drive there are over 30 Munros, just waiting to be 'bagged'!
