  • "We absolutely loved staying here, the accommodation was perfect for our family of four."

    We had a small question about the walk into town and Iain helpfully called us straight away to let us know the way - thank you Iain, it was a beautiful walk! We loved all the goodies provided on arrival. Our only piece of feedback would be to provide some more glasses/cutlery in the kitchen, we found we had to run the dishwasher more often than was probably necessary as we used them all very quickly (and are allergic to washing up on holiday!) - everything was really perfect though this is only a small comment!

    A very good place to stay just outside aberfeldy Only real downside was the very steep gravel and loose stones road up to the properties Curtain would have been welcome on the patio door /widow but overall we had a nice peaceful and comfortable holiday

  • "A long weekend stay in mid May."

    Good situation just outside of Aberfeldy with a level walk into the centre. Immersed in beautiful countryside with a balcony within what feels like touching distance of the oak trees. House is modern, clean, warm with good size bedrooms and bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen and sufficient consumables. Would definitely return if we are back in the area.

  • "One word sums up our stay here: Bliss."

    We have more words!: Easy, welcoming, warm, relaxing, calm. Parking: Convenient. Key access: Easy; code provided to key safe outside the front door, which is sheltered from weather by a covered porch area. Seating in lounge area: Generous and comfortable with beautiful views of trees in the foreground at the rear of the property, glimpses of the river beyond them in the middle ground, and hills in the distance. We didn’t make use of the following, but there were a good selection of dvd films and games. Seating in dining area: Comfortable, convenient and a large table, plenty of leg space. Desk: Handy desk and chair for laptop, and writing use. Kitchen: Spacious, very well designed and stocked with good quality kitchen/dining equipment. Understairs storage: Loads of space for storage. Double bedroom: Very comfortable bed, with good quality bedding - warm and cozy. (There is a twin and a single room too, but we had no need to use these). Bathroom: Good shower over bath, plenty of hot water. Cleanliness: Excellent. General: Warm, cozy, peaceful, welcoming, spacious. Good quality furnishings/utensils throughout, a pleasure to use/experience. Owners were easy to make contact with and very helpful and friendly. Would we stay here again?: Yes, we didn’t want to leave!

  • "Really enjoyed stay, everything you need in kitchen, warm, beds comfortable and short walk to Aberfeldy with lovely view to front."

    Excellent value, would plan to return if price stayed the same. There was no working WiFi which was inconvenient but we were informed in advance. Also hoover not working. We so tried to let owner know that bulb in lamp to left of television needed replaced and downstairs toilet cistern seemed to be continuously running.

  • "Although not required, we had an email to say there would be some milk left for us & there wasn't, there also wasn't any tea bags or sugar."

    Again I know your not required to provide such things but there was coffee? Also the main bedroom didn't have a blind / curtain or a main light bulb? But did have lamps? Overall good stay though just a couple of things!

    You don't need to go far for some super walks and pretty towns and villages. We'd recommend the distillery tour/cafe and Aberfeldy Birks.

The market town of Aberfeldy stands on the River Tay amidst beautiful scenery in rural Perthshire. Famous for its association with Burns and his poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy, the bridge built for General Wade in 1733 and, more recently, The Hills of Aberfeldy by Ed Sheeran, the town is just south of Glen Lyon, known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. There is much to attract the visitor in addition to the spectacular scenery. For example, a 10 mile riverside walk for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as numerous paths through forest and countryside. Furthermore, Aberfeldy is on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7. Whitewater rafting on the River Tay is an exhilarating way to enjoy the scenery and zip wiring, quad biking and bungee jumping are available in nearby Killiekrankie. Castle Menzies is a wonderful 16th century castle, now fully restored and open to visitors. Take a distillery tour at Dewar’s World of Whisky on the edge of town. Sample the many bars, restaurants and cafes in the town and explore the galleries and craft shops. Visit The Highland Chocolatier in the nearby village of Grandtully to enjoy world class chocolate created by a local master. The Scottish Crannog Centre offers a glimpse into Iron Age life and Loch Tay offers a multitude of watersports, while Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are on your doorstep. Within an easy hours drive there are over 30 Munros, just waiting to be 'bagged'!
