"A lovely spacious and clean lodge that felt more like a house than a lodge."
The views, peaceful setting and the fact that it was very accessible on one floor is what sold this place to us. However we would have appreciated some warning about the state of the dirt road and the extremely steep slope to get to it as we really struggled each time with our humble Skoda and even decided to stay put one rainy day because of that. I dread to think what it will be like on frosty days. Having the log fire was a bonus and the herb garden and meandering pheasants outside were a real treat. The single bed mattresses need attending to as each one was very saggy on one side which meant you fall out if you turn over.
Besides that, it is a beautifully furnished lodge in a stunning location. One the road to it is created, Im sure it will be in high demand and I would certainly recommend it on those conditions.
Thanks for the feedback Simone. We're glad you enjoyed your week here. As discussed, in a couple of weeks, road surfacing works will commence so this should assist significantly with the road access to the lodge. The mattresses in bedroom 2 are less than a year old. We haven't had any adverse issues brought to our attention previously, so your comments are noted and we will look into this. In this room, the mattresses are designed to be flexiblly configured to suit the different guest groups, as either a 5 foot wide king size bed (when zipped together) or as single beds. This flexibility means they are slightly narrower than standard stand-alone single beds in the separated configuration.

"Dundarach is an amazing place to stay with fabulous views out over mountains and hillsides that scream Scotland."
The accommodation is superb with a fabulous veranda to sit and watch the views from.
There is a bird feeder that attracts lots of birds including coal tits and we were fortunate that a nuthatch also fed from it daily. Dundarach is really well equipped and comfortable with a lovely wood burner. It is also a great base to explore other parts of the Highlands including Pitlochry and a must visit Blair Castle where you can feed red deer by hand.
We had a fantastic holiday there and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Scotland.
Lovely feedback Ian, many thanks, glad you all enjoyed your stay. And particular thanks for the video of that determined wee nuthatch!

Great location with small well stocked co-op , restaurants, takeaways close by & further afield. Great communication from the owner. We will certainly return & recommend to all our friends & family.

"A lovely lodge, views spectacular, close enough to walk into Aberfeldy along quiet track."
Ideal base for exploring Perthshire. Surface of road a bit bumpy but going to be resurfaced shortly according to owner. Definitely would go back.
Many thanks for your kind words Maxine, and yes the road should be getting resurfaced shortly. We'd be delighted to have you back sometime.

"We received a very warm welcome from Rob and Veronica upon our arrival, having driven up from East Lothian for our stay."
Rob provided a number of great recommendations for the cycling trips we undertook (Loch Rannoch, Faskally, Tummel), as well as restaurants in the area (I'd highly recommend the Schiehallion pub for food and drink, although you want to make sure you book a table as they were fully booked when we went). The cottage itself was spotless and had superb views over the valley, we can't wait to come back again.
Many thanks for your kind feedback, David, and of course we'd love to have you back again sometime

"Very nice lodge with great views."
Towels supplied were of poor quality, did not smell fresh, hard and stained. Very poor variety ,sizes of crockery ,pots and pans. These could be improved for not a lot of money and would add to the enjoyment of staying in this lodge.
Thanks for your helpful feedback, Rose. Surprised to hear about the towels, will certainly review with housekeeping. Will consider the crockery, pots etc if they can be enhanced without compromising cupboard space for food supplies. Thus far, we have assumed 6 cups, plates etc were enough for the 4 people capacity.

"Absolutely stunning lodge in an equally stunning location."
Everything you could need in self catering accommodation but the star of the show was the view f from the windows leading to a lovely balcony overlooking the River Tay & open countryside. Close to Aberfeldy which has shops, cafes & restaurants to suit all your needs. General area is beautiful from Kenmore on Loch Tay up to Pitlochry & beyond. The weather was fabulous which added to a lovely stay. We would love to return. Thanks for sharing your peaceful haven.
Many thanks for your kind feedback Linda, we'd love to have you back sometime
