Out third visit to this lovely property which is in a great location.

we had a few issues but these were dealt which efficiently by the owner who was easily contacted.

Everything was perfect at Mullingar.

From the communication to the owner with precise directions to the cottage in itself. Cottage is very spacious and fully equipped with super comfortable beds. It is set in an idyllic spot in Pitlochry .... on the outskirts, surrounded by woods but on the other hand in a walking distance to the village. Would love to go back at Mullingar

Our third stay, we loved the new look especially the hard floors, everything was first rate for our comfort and convenience.

Mullingar is in a great position for Pitlochry itself and travelling up and down A9

Mullingar is a lovely, spacious property, all the rooms are large and would suit either an extended family or a couple.

The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc if you wanted to cook. The living room has lots of seating, a large ‘streaming’ TV and a nice log burning stove for the cold winter evenings. Seating and a large dining table were also available outside but unfortunately we were unable to use this as it was snowing when we were there!! The master bedroom had a very comfortable mattress and the en-suite had a nice shower with lots of hot water.

Lovely house in beautiful grounds within easy reach of walks, shops, restaurants, pubs and theatre.

Well equipped , spacious and very cosy. Owner was very accommodating and great communication throughout.

Ideal location in Pitlochry - close to the centre and all amenities, but tranquilly set at the edge of town, bordering a wood. Great space for children to play. Very friendly host whose communications were clear and prompt. I would recommend this property without hesitation and hope to return at some point.

Excellent location - 2-3 minutes walk to the Theatre ,footbridge and a good pub .

10-15 minutes walk into the town. Several local walks can be done from the house Accommodation is spacious, clean extremely comfortable with good quality appliances that all work. Some people may find the short drive up to the property, steep but your fitness will have improved measurably by the end of your stay! The owner made personal contact with us prior to our stay and supplied much helpful local knowledge .

Beautiful cottage in an Ideal & tranquil location plus a short walk to town.

Very well presented & equipped house. Certainly in my top 3 of cottages I’ve rented over the years. Good Wi-Fi, which isn’t always a given. Really enjoyed the week & booked again for a week next year.

Really enjoyed our stay at Mullingar, the house had everything we could have wanted and more.

Plenty space for kids, and a great outdoor space. Patricia was also very contactable and responded quickly and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The house was brilliant.

So spacious, pictures do no do it justice. Was so peaceful and just a 5-10 minute walk into pitlochry. The house was spotless and some lovely welcoming touches were left for us. Communication from the host was excellent. Only slight niggle was that mattresses on twin beds were extremely firm which were not to our preference but would not put us off staying again.

Mullingar feels very comfortable and homely.

There is everything you need for your stay. I love the location for both pitlochry and the A9. You have plenty of space and each bedroom has en suite all high spec. We saw deer in the garden a couple of times. The garden is a great relaxing space. All in all a top accomadation.

Absolutely amazing stay in this beautiful property.

So spacious, warm and cosy with everything you could want or need. Fabulous communication with owner before arrival and lovely welcoming treats. A perfect place to visit the surrounding areas and return to a wonderful house.

We had a wonderful stay at Mullingar, it was such a lovely spot in pitlochry and perfect for us.

The views over the village and the hills was incredible - although we were out much of our stay we all felt it would be a lovely place to visit again and had fantastic outdoor spaces we didn't manage to make use of. The one thing we felt could have improved it, would be cupboard space in the kitchen for groceries, as any we had that didn't fit in the fridge had to sit out on the kitchen tops.

The whole family absolutely loved our stay at Mullingar.

The property is well equipped with with everything we needed. The Little extras such as the biscuits, pint of milk and hot drink options were very much appreciated. The sitting area and beds are very comfortable and the lighting throughout the home makes the rooms cozy. The garden space is great. Our children especially loved the tyre swing, and made use of the selection of board games and the Badminton set. Thank you so much for our fabulous stay. We would definitely come back in the future.

Very comfortable and spacious, great location, everything was there when needed in the kitchen.

A lovely house in a very peaceful and beautiful location.

Well kitted out kitchen and bathrooms. Very spacious rooms which gave everyone their own space if needed. Ample seating outside, as well as dining and living areas. We all had a super stay and since our grandsons gave Mullingar a well deserved thumbs up, we hope to return.

This is a beautiful property with lovely garden and a perfect location.

We found mullingar to be a home from home, very comfortable, clean and well equipped.

the shower in the main bedroom en suite was very good,/ bed comfortable with good linen. I would have liked black out blinds in the bedroom as I wake very early with the slightest light. But hey it was lovely listening to the birdsong and watching the rabbits playing first thing. We don't understand the streaming TV so we only watched netflicks and u tube which was OK. Not big tv watchers any way. All in all we loved our stay.

An absolutely lovely spacious property - like moving the comforts of you own home to the holiday location of your choice.

Lovely property.

We stayed in March. The main bedroom was very comfortable and the shower lovely. However the rooms the children slept in were less so as at least one had futon type mattresses which the children did not take to very well. Another point is the TV all runs through the internet which is fine if you have streaming subscriptions but if like us you do not then it was a bit rubbish as we struggled to find the things we would normally watch on an evening. The TV also lost connection numerous times when we were trying to watch on I player. Having said all of that we would consider staying again if we were looking for a property in the area the location was good with beautiful views.

Lovely spacious cottage.

This is a true 6 berth property with room to move around. Lovely location at the top of a very step access road. it is a 10/15min walk in to Pitlochry if you are fit for the hill. Only two minor comments would be that the living room could possible have some more furniture/seats. A wee bit mean with the toilet roll allocation, think we had 1 per bathroom but other than that I would highly recommend this cottage. Unrelated comment about Pitlochry - it must be one of the most expensive places to visit these days with a pub charging £14.95 for a club sandwich & £6.95 for a pint of Guinness Ouch-come on Pitlochry.

We had a wonderful week at Mullingar.

A fabulous place with plenty of space for a large family group. Great location too...secluded spot but close to lovely restaurants, shops etc in Pitlochry. Don't miss The Bridge! Some great walks from the door. Black Spout was our favourite. Highly recommended. We don't very often say this but feel sure we will return! Great to have pet free too. Getting harder to find pet free properties these days. Thank you.

Beautiful property with everything you need for a very comfortable holiday.

Up a very steep hill so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues unless you have a car.

We (four adults) stayed here for four nights in early September during a period of remarkably warm weather.

The house is spacious and comfortable, and the setting is quiet and secluded. The owners were very helpful with questions we had, e.g., about heating and hot water. The property is well maintained, appliances are new, and the kitchen is well equipped - even the knives were sharp! The house has a separate laundry room with a washer and drier which I think would be useful to mention more in the write up - it's really good to be able to close the door on all that. As we travelled from overseas, the need to bring oven mitts, buy toilet paper, etc. was not that convenient. I would rather pay a little more and have more supplies, like extra towels, provided but I understand that isn't for everyone. The one thing that I would have found helpful (and again this may be personal preference) would be manuals for some of the appliances, e.g., specifics on how to override the hot water setting on the wall unit. We worked out how to use the induction stove, but could not work out how to empty the condenser on the tumble drier (it was the last day so I didn't ask). I know we can all look things like that up online but on vacation I don't really want to look for the model number on the drier etc. These may all be obvious to the modern British family! But this did not mar our enjoyment of the property - it was top notch and I would stay there again.

First of all I want to say that this property is in a fantastic location.

We had a great time as a family and the owners were always on hand, especially when we got lost. The only issues were the internet, which went down quite a few times, the house was not particularly clean when we arrived, we had to go and buy cleaning products and do ourselves. Also, the listing never mentioned that, although Mullingar does not accept dogs, the cabin in the garden does, and whenever we left the doors open we had a dog which was staying in the cabin, come into our property, which is not great especially when there were people in our party who are allergic to dogs, and a child who is scared of them. There is no separation from the cabin in the garden which was a disappointment really as they should each have separate gardens or just be listed as 1 home.

This is a very high quality property.

It is very spacious, very comfortable beds and sofas and the nicely presented. It is close to town , just a short walk down the hill. I would also recommend The Fern Cottage restaurant in Pitlochry, we had a fabulous meal, and very friendly staff.

Loved the house it was as described, very spacious, modern and comfortable also in a good location for access to walks and town centre.

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the cottage, and the lovely setting, so peaceful.

We had one or two issues within the kitchen area, but after contact with the owners, we hope these will be dealt with in a timely manner. Perfect for touring the surrounding areas, and so close to the centre of Pitlochry which was a bonus for us.

The house was perfect, everything you could ask for, so comfortable, clean, welcoming and peaceful. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house to anyone looking for a family home in Pitlochry.
