Great big house for an early family Christmas celebration.

Plenty of space for everyone to get together but equally enough rooms for anyone to get peace if they wanted it.

Amazing property.

Really spacious. Plenty of room for everyone. We all had a great week here. We will definitely be back again. Gorgeous views, lots of local amenities and walks

The property could be amazing but seemed to be suffering from a severe lack of maintenance.

The gate was unattached so garden could not be made secure for animals or toddlers. Leaning fences and broken sections. The garden was full of weeds and unkempt. The decking around the hot tub was damaged and incredibly slippery when wet. The house was cold for the first couple of days and we struggled to get the heating to work; no radiators or towel rails would come on. Warmed up once we got log burner lit and underfloor heating in kitchen to work. Flush in the ensuite was very temperamental. Sink in family bathroom was VERY slow to drain. No shower curtain on shower in family bathroom so water and soap suds go everywhere. King size sheets on a double bed made for uncomfortable nights sleep. Couldn't find manuals for oven and discovered the dial didn't line up accurately to the functions. No scissors in kitchen or a working tin opener. Smoke alarm battery stated beeping and couldn't get contact with owner. Needed to email Sykes to get any response. A person was sent round and smoke alarm was sorted after 24 hours. Coffee machine was full of mould - obviously had not been cleaned for some time. Couldn't get TV to work in upstairs double. Clothes rail in wardrobe collapsed in back double bedroom. Looking back through the reviews some of these issues have been mentioned previously but have yet to be dealt with. Overall very disappointed with the stay when you consider what we paid for the accommodation. We took photos of everything and emailed Sykes with issues.

Excellent facilities, lots of room in the house for the kids to explore and play in.

TV room was great to watch the football. Spiral staircase looks stunning but is challenging for people with mobility problems but did not spoil our enjoyment. We would definitely use this house again.

Fabulous property, the rooms were all large and comfortable.

Plenty of bathrooms, all well finished. The lounge is stunning and the kitchen / snug area was perfect for family gatherings. Only minor snag was the door handle to kitchen / snug constantly fell off, sometimes both sides.

We found a number of issues with the house that should have been resolved via repair or maintenance before it was let out to anyone.

A number of loose, broken and uneven paving slabs outside the house, including on front step - a health and safety issue. Also, parts of the decking are starting to give way. It is clear the outdoor area has not been maintained in a while. Lots of weeds, including in paved areas. Broken fencing and house sign at entryway. Generally, it looks untidy and unkempt from the outside and is not looked after to the standard you would expect from a holiday property. One of the hot tub rails has been broken off and just left in the overgrown 'garden' area. Half of the hot tub jets do not work. Inside the house is presented better and but again lack of maintenance lets it down: The kitchen door handle came away completely because it was loose. So, we had to prop it open so that no one got stuck. The 2 upstairs hand basins do not drain properly, the downstairs shower does not drain properly and only a trickle of water comes out of the utility tap. The toilet seat in the main bathroom upstairs is not the correct size. The banister post at the top of the staircase is wobbly and the top of it is broken so it just comes off in your hand - again unsafe. Entertainment equipment in games area is not working. The mattress on the low double bed is extremely uncomfortable and needing replaced. The velux window frame in the upstairs double bedroom with the low bed has a hole in the top corner. We had hail and water leaking in. Kitchen utensils could do with being renewed - some broken or are done, other guests have also commented on the lack of scissors. I would like to point out that all of these issues were existing when we arrived. Also having now looked at recent guest feedback on the booking site and in the guest book in the house - a number of these issues have been pointed out before and it looks like no one has paid any attention to them. There was loose pathing slabs at the front door and on the ramp from the backdoor which my mum nearly fell from both,the games room should be upstairs where the snug is and the snug downstairs as it splits up the people staying who can't use the stairs,the computers and amp also wouldn't link to the projector as it kept displaying "no signal",the jets on the bath inside didn't work which was displayed in the bathroom,the grass area wasnt useable for much as it wasnt maintained,great location and easy to find with a co-op and playpark just meters down the road

Although great, the kitchen appliances could do with instruction guides especially the cooker which was a bit fiddly but okay once going.

The house was great the only thing we thought there could have been more information on working the kitchen equipment.

and more bin facilities especially for recycling,also the outside could with a bit of t l c , this is just minor things as overall we had a fantastic time in a beautiful house
