Description

Spring Bank is a pleasant converted Welsh chapel resting near Llanfyllin, Powys, providing single-storey living, two thoughtfully arranged bedrooms, and handy off-road parking for 2 cars.

Step inside and you are greeted by an inviting open-plan living space where the chapel’s character is reflected in its simple, homely style.

Settle down in the sitting area and unwind with a film on the Smart TV, or share unhurried conversation after days spent exploring the surrounding countryside.

The kitchen area offers the essentials for a straightforward self-catered stay, including an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, and fridge with icebox, so you can prepare anything from easy breakfasts to relaxed evening meals.

With oil-fired central heating running throughout, the space feels pleasantly warm whatever the season, making it a welcoming base to return to.

When it is time to turn in, choose between the double bedroom and a twin with zip/link beds that can be made into a king-size on request, giving a little extra flexibility for different groups.

The bathroom serves both rooms and features a bath with shower over, basin, heated towel rail, and WC, ideal for freshening up before another day’s adventures.

Outside the door, the surrounding Powys landscape invites you to get out and explore, from rolling hills and winding lanes to riverside spots and open fields.

A short drive brings you to the amenities of Llanfyllin, where you can browse local shops or enjoy a meal or drink in a traditional pub before heading back to your holiday base.

Whatever your plans in this part of mid Wales, Spring Bank offers a straightforward base for guests keen to experience a simple Welsh chapel stay.

If you’re looking for a peaceful break in stunning rural Mid Wales, this is your place.

Spring Bank Cottage is a cosy, well equipped cottage that has been thoughtfully designed to make sure your stay is comfortable. The cottage is situated in a tiny hamlet, but less than 10 minutes drive to the market town of Llanfyllin which has a decent supermarket, pubs, restaurants, takeaways and even a launderette! The owners of the cottage live close by and couldn’t have been more welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the thoughtful welcome basket too. Thank you ☺️

Beautiful holiday cottage in a stunning location.

It had everything we needed for our two week holiday. The town of Llanfyllin is just a short drive away and has pubs, restaurants and shops. The larger market towns of Oswestry and Welshpool are around 30 mins away and have all the major supermarkets. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely little cottage.

It is situated in a quiet, peaceful, location with a lovely view across the valley. There was a much appreciated welcome hamper awaiting our arrival. The cottage was clean and very well equipped and had everything we needed (it even had an air fryer and a hairdrier). There was no washing machine though if that is important to you. Very comfortable bed. Excellent, reliable, wi-fi. We wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again should we wish to revisit the area,
