Charming cottage in a great location.

Hosts were very friendly. Would use again without a doubt.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage with the best welcome pack ever.

Rob was the perfect host and popped in to show us how everything worked. He even went and got a bag of grit for the paths in the frost. Everything we needed was in the cottage. The secure garden was amazing for the dogs. Would definately recommend.

We had a lovely 3 night break at Braeface Cottage.

We were visiting relatives and it was the perfect base for us to do so. The cottage was absolutely gorgeous! Nicest we’ve ever been to! A real ‘home from home’ feel, with all mod cons and lots of little extras. Large accommodation, beautifully decorated, enclosed gardens and fabulous views. We felt thoroughly spoilt! The owners Rob and Lynne were amazing. We received a text message wishing us a safe journey and letting us know that the cottage was ready for us (heating and Christmas lights were switched on in preparation for our arrival). There was a beautiful welcome pack awaiting us with a lovely note. Such a personal touch and pleasant surprise after the long journey. Rob came round after we settled and he ran through the heating, log burner fire, etc. We had our dog with us and she was catered for too with a lovely dog bed and cosy throws. The large, enclosed gardens were brilliant to let her wander outside safely. We would definitely return to this property. We absolutely loved it. Shame we were so busy running around visiting. We weren’t able to take full advantage of the facilities - log burner, cooker, etc. Maybe next time? Thank you.

The cottage was perfect for our needs.

Two comfortable bedrooms, an amazing kitchen, large safe garden for the dogs to enjoy. More about the kitchen - it contains everything you might need while on holidays. I cooked a roast chicken for Christmas dinner no problems. Double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine….nothing missing. Wood burning fire (which we only used once as the cottage was toasty warm!), comfortable sofas. Dog bed and throws were on hand too. The owners live nearby and were wonderful with lots of suggestions for great places to walk the dogs. The cottage is certainly on our list of places we would visit again.

This was one of the best cottages we have stayed in, very friendly welcome, great location, spotlessly clean and comfy and beautiful kitchen that was well equipped for self catering, the furnishing was of a very high standard and the weather was perfect too !

Well situated to visit The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle and the train from Falkirk to Edinburgh was a great day out. Would highly recommend, the pictures do not do it justice ! Thank you for a great stay.

We have just come back from a stay at Braeface Cottage.

The property itself is immaculate the only issue we had was that the owner would turn up unannounced and sometimes with his dog off lead which is not ideal when you have an unfriendly dog yourself! This for us let the experience down as a whole. Also I was in the kitchen one day and a window cleaner turned up and started cleaning the windows with full view inside, again unannounced. Myself or my children could have been partially dressed or getting out of the shower! I don’t understand why there was no courtesy text to ask or let us know!!The owner lives 2 doors up and it felt like we had no privacy, for this reason I wouldn’t return. I have listed the pros and cons of this property below.. CONS; 1. No tumble drier so in winter months will be hard to dry your clothes 2. The toilet was blocked when we arrived so we had to unblock this 3. No coat hooks or anywhere to store your coats 4. Only double beds in both rooms, yet plenty enough room for king size 4. WiFi intermittent so can only give 1-2 devices good wifi 5. Really creaky floors in both bedrooms and hallway leading to bathroom meaning when you get up in the night you wake everyone up 6. Owners/ window cleaners turn up at the property with no notice or warning PROS: 1. Lovely quiet location 2. Easy access to Glasgow/Edinburgh/falkirk 3. Supermarket 2 miles away 4. Lovely large rear garden 5. Spaces kitchen fully equipped The property itself apart from a few things is absolutely stunning, and the location is perfect and peaceful with amazing views. Such a shame about the privacy situation. When I text the owner there response was ‘they thought we were out’ - but why would you assume this? Why not call or text?

Lovely little cottage, in an ideal location for visiting both Glasgow and Edinburgh by train (local Croy station 15 minutes by car and free parking).

Good location for day trips to Loch Lomond and beyond! Hosts are most welcoming and attentive to your needs. Well done Lynne and Rob.

There is a reason why this cottage has so many 5 star reviews- it is excellent for a weeks break seeing a part of Scotland that has much too offer.

Lovely gardens , spotlessly clean and maintained , and friendly hosts. We could not find any negatives at all during our stay and would highly recommend to anyone. Convenient for the Falkirk Wheel , Kelpies , Stirling & it’s Castle , Wallace monument and much more . Would book again if visiting this area in the future.

I cant speak highly enough of this cottage, it's one of the nicest, cleanest, most spacious, well appointed cottages we have ever stayed in.

Our dog Luna, who is normally very aloof with new people, took a real shine to Rob when he popped round to make sure we settled in ok. There was a nice comfy dog bed provided and whilst we took her own bed, she sat in it for 30 seconds looking disgusted and used the cottage bed for the rest of our stay, now I'm going to have to buy her one. The garden is really secure for dogs once the gates are shut so we were happy to let our dog have a mooch in the garden knowing she was safe. Indeed, the garden is really tranquil and well kept and we spent a few pleasant evenings sitting on the patio with a cold drink listening to the bird song. The cottage is in a very quiet area but within a 5 minute drive of a Co-op and a Sainsburys if needed. It's also within easy driving distance of the Falkirk Wheel, the Kelpies and Carron Valley, all of which we visited. We really appreciated the effort that has gone into making this cottage fabulous, for example, they could have fitted normal skylights in the kitchen and provided a long pole but instead, they've gone to the time and expense of fitting remote Velux windows which were so nice to let some air in on warm days. The kitchen is a really nice area to relax with your evening meal. We slept really well in the comfy beds too. Thank you for a pleasant stay and hope to see you again in the future. P.S. can you provide a tea pot in the kitchen for our next stay.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, comfortable and immaculate with modern decor.

The garden was a hit with our doggies and luckily we had fab weather for them to enjoy it. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful when we were looking for dog-friendly pub suggestions. Two little niggles - the bathroom is quite cold despite having a heated towel rail and another lamp or two in the living room would be nice. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to go back or to highly recommend it to others.

The facilities are outstanding and the personal touch from the host with a friendly in person welcome was heart warming . The location is so peaceful with good access and parking on site . The cottage itself is so fresh and clean and the welcome pack thoughtful . It is so suitable for pets as well as humans . Well done guys you are an example to hosts everywhere .

A very comfortable and clean cottage for our week away visiting our daughter at Glasgow University.

The wood burner was easy to use & made it extra cosy in the evenings. Our cat Bonnie quickly settled in & was no trouble. An extra hand towel for hair washing would have been good but it's just a minor detail. Thank you for the welcome pack. We hope to return.

This was a lovely cottage - really cosy inside even though freezing outside!

The cottage itself had all the little extras you need in the kitchen cupboards. There was an absolutely gorgeous welcome basket waiting for us and the owners were lovely- messaging us on the day we arrived and checking everything was ok. I would definitely recommend this cottage as a home away from home

Wow what a place.

It was as described and more. Such a cosy, clean cottage. The hosts were great making sure we was comfortable and offering advice on places to visit. It’s a fantastic base to see the sights in the area.

An idyllic rural setting but close to main roads and very easy to reach cities and attractions in the area. The cottage itself is lovely, comfortable and well equipped. The garden is brilliant for those with dogs (our greyhound loved it). We were warmly welcomed and really appreciated the welcome pack which was incredibly thoughtful. We simply had an amazing Scottish break.

Facilities were excellent and everything you would require for a great stay was there. Very secure and dog friendly too which was a bonus and communication from the owners was excellent. It is in an ideal location for visiting Stirling, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow and also surrounding countryside. I would definitely recommend Braeface cottage to anyone thinking of booking it!

Great property in a lovely location with good views.

Very well equipped with everything we needed on the ground floor. Beautiful garden with a large patio for long summer evenings! Ample on site parking. Hosts were ever so helpful too.

This was the perfect stay.

The cottage is beautiful inside and the gardens, both front and rear, are a joy to sit in. Rob (owner) made us feel very welcome and was on hand for anything we needed. The surrounding area has an array of shops to cater for all your needs (CoOp, takeaways, etc) and the location is a great base from which to see the sites of Scotland (Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Stirling, etc). The highlight for us was a visit to Falkland for high tea in a quaint village with nice shops. We highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to revisit.

We had an amazing one week at Braeface Cottage.

Lynn and Rob were the most amazing host. We had some great treats waiting for us on arrival. Rob came by to greet us and say hello and gave us loads of ideas on how to spend our one week. Everything in the cottage was set to high standards, it's comfy and cosy both, The most beautiful part of our stay had to be the scenic beauty of the location. Some breath taking sights over looking the cottage. And what can we say about the beautiful garden ! It made even our rainy days so bright. Fabulous cottage in a great location ideal for exploring Central Scotland with lots of walks nearby too.

Lynne’s sister Terri made us very welcome, Rob & Lynne we’re on holiday, great garden for Paddy our dog. We had a great time, only wished our stay was longer.

Our only suggestion would be to have a squeegee in the bathroom so we could wipe down the shower glass after use!

Everything else was perfect and it was especially handy to have the smart TV which gave us access to varied entertainment after a long day out.

Can’t say anything negative about Braeface cottage.

It is clean, modern and comfortable and has everything you need. Rob and Lynne are great hosts and left us a lovely welcome gift of delicious treats. Our bichon, Paddy, loved the bed and treats and was totally safe in the enclosed garden. The location is beautiful with stunning views front and back and is an excellent base to visit the Falkirk wheel, Kelpies, Stirling, Glasgow and Loch Lomond . We would definitely return.

We stayed at this cottage for 5 nights the owners couldn’t have been more helpful, leaving out there special touches for us and even the dog, the cottage is in a beautiful location yet so near the motorway, house was very comfortable and warm and had everything you need, will be recommending to friends

The kitchen is fantastic, fully equipped with everything you could need and the views from the front and back of the property are exceptional. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The host had left a welcome pack including milk, that was a really nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay thank you Rob & Lynne

Lovely cottage.

Very clean. Ideal for visiting kelpies (25mins away) and other local attractions eg loch Lomond approx just over an hour. Property is comfortable with plenty of logs for the fire. Bathroom did not have a lock on the door but I mentioned this to the owner as a suggestion and she said it would be done that very day so they take on board any comments for improvements. I did take my one year old cocker spaniel but unlike some of the other reviews that say it's very safe in the garden for dogs I personally didn't feel it was safe enough to allow her off lead due to very low fences and gate at the front and large gaps under the side fence at the front. Her recall outside is fairly good but I just would not risk it. This comment is not meant as a criticism merely for information if you have a young dog or an escape artist dog... The owners do provide dog towels,dog bed, bowl and sofa covers so that was all great. Overall we had a lovely stay. Thank you.

Great cottage.

Comfy, cosy and well equipped. Very dog friendly. Excellent hosts. It is a quiet rural location which means the pub and shops are a drive away but this is more than made up for by the countryside being on your doorstep.

We had a lovely time at Braeface Cottage - unfortunately we were not very well during our stay, but the cottage was so comfortable that we didn't mind staying indoors.

It has been very well restored and the open kitchen/living area is great, with views out to the fields. The cottage is a great base for exploring the local area. The hosts are very welcoming, and check-in to make sure that everything is ok.

Probably the best cottage we've stayed in of the dozens we've rented throughout the UK.

Flawlessly renovated with top appliances and furnishings. Immaculately presented. Cosy but spacious. Perfectly situated amongst rolling hills and countryside yet within easy reach of all amenities. Near some of Scotland's best known cities and attractions. Greeted by a selection of local produce and treats courtesy of the owners who were kind, helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive. We stayed at Braeface Cottage during two of the worst storms for a decade and still loved it. We can't wait to return.

We were surprised on arrival how beautiful this cottage was, everything you needed, comfort warmth and very well equipped in the kitchen, as I still love cooking away from home.

We were handy for everywhere we wanted to visit, the motorway system is brilliant. The garden was secure for our dog Tilly, who appreciated her treats left by our host Rob, who might add was very helpful and considerate to make sure our stay was enjoyable. In short we loved our stay at Braeface Cottage.

Returned home from a week of relaxation, peace and quite, just what the doctor ordered, staying at the Braeface Cottage. Rob and Lynne are very welcoming and and helpful, giving advice, information on where to go and places to take your dog. A welcome pack is provided just to help you settle in along with a number of basic items, milk for example. Rob and Lynne even provide towels for your dog and throws for the furniture. Rob called shortly after our arrival and talked us through the use of various items, tv, heating etc. Our dog Lara enjoyed the enclosed gardens, which gave us peace of mind while she was out exploring. The accommodation was very comfortable with just about everything you will need for your stay. Loved the big and very comfortable beds. My wife wanted to take the kitchen home only thing missing was a dryer. The property is well located for trips to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Sterling withe the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel within easy reach. We did have a couple of minor issues, not enough to spoil our break, but on reporting these to Rob, these were addressed almost immediately. Yes we would recommend Braeface Cottage as a place to stay, and we are looking to rebook. Graham & Chrissie

Wonderful comfortable cottage.

Extremely attentive owners always on hand to make our break even more enjoyable. Excellent contained garden, front and rear, giving us peace of mind to let our greyhound roam. Lazy mornings followed by afternoon adventures to the local area, e.g. The Kelpies, ending with a cosy evening inside a lavishly comfortable cottage. You won’t be disappointed if you stay at this peaceful location.

We couldn't fault Braeface Cottage, it's spacious, warm, comfortable and has open views front and back.

It has recently been refurbished and extended to a very high standard and it certainly has the Wow Factor. Its exactly as seen in the photographs and is spotlessly clean throughout. The fabulous kitchen and dining room had everything we needed and was bright and airy due to the large windows area and velux roof lights. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the beds very comfortable. The lounge is also very comfortable and a really great space to relax in after a busy day exploring. We were pleased to meet Rob, the owner, who welcomed us on arrival and we thank him for both his friendliness and kindness. We have taken cottage holidays for many years and Braeface Cottage is up there with the best. Highly recommended.

When we entered the cottage, we were really impressed at the size and also the decoration.

The kitchen extension was breathtaking and we immediately knew we would be having a wonderful week. Rob popped in a few times to make sure we knew how to use the heating and show us other things we needed to know He also kept in touch by text and his personal touch was the perfect start to our break. A lovely host. The enclosed garden at the front and back of the cottage have us peace of mind to let harry wander about safely. He instantly adapted to his new home and the comfortable, warm , cosy interior was a major factor in this. Lazy mornings were followed by afternoon adventures to different destinations , e.g the kelpies. All this was ended by quiet, cosy evenings in our beautiful cottage. As 25 year veterans of pet friendly holidays all over Scotland and North England, We can heartily recommend staying at Braeface Cottage. You won't be dissapointed
