  • "Lovely spacious house, clean and cosy."

    Very well equipped, everything you need for self catering and more, cleaning products ie. Washing up liquid, kitchen rolls, washer and dish washer tabs etc. Tea, coffee and sugar. Lovely gift of amazing shortbread and prosecco on arrival. The shortbread from the owners shop (Forsyth's). The location is excellent, practically next door to Sainsbury's and the Cross Keys Inn. High Street Two minutes walk, swimming pool and playgrounds nearby. Very quiet at night, comfy beds. Nice closed in garden area at the back which was great for the dog and children. Would definitely recommend, would stay again.

  • "What a fantastic holiday."

    The house is amazing and has everything you need. The garden is brilliant if you have a dog, as it’s enclosed so can run around with no worries. The location is perfect right in the centre of Peebles, with a supermarkets, pubs and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. There are some lovely walks along the river with plenty of room to let your dog off the lead. You have to try Forsyths butchers. We placed a Christmas order before we travelled and it was some of the best we’ve tasted. We cannot fault 30 Northgate and would love to return.

  • "A lovely property in a super location."

    Absolutely adored the bath in the bedroom. Peebles itself is a wonderful place for a holiday; such a pretty town with really nice people and great shops. The steaks from Forsyth’s butchers were the best we’d had in a long time. Would come back to this house for another holiday.

  • "Peebles a lovely bustling Borders Town, with a great mix of shops, cafes & restaurants."

    The house couldn’t be in a better spot - just a stones throw from everything yet has a secure garden and private parking! We found the house to be exceptionally clean, cosy and comfortable. The high-quality linens and piles of soft fluffy towels much appreciated. (nice to see everything thoughtfully matching the decor) The kitchen is extremely well equipped with an abundance of crockery and cutlery, useful when catering a 3 x course dinner for five! Pleasantly surprised with the Super- fast Wi-Fi and two ‘Smart’ TV’s, not something usually available when self-catering we find. All in all a wonderful ‘Home from Home’ & we cannot wait to return.

    Great location; quiet yet central with plenty shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Fresh, clean, light and bright inside with everything you could need. Comfy beds, walk in shower, hairdryers, fully equipped kitchen and smart TVs. Would love to come back on our next trip to Peebles. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us!

  • "We enjoyed our week having Peebles as a ‘base’."

    House was as advertised, clean, well equipped and very quiet despite being a short walk from the town Main Street. Good selection of individual shops, and places to eat, the best being Coltman’s kitchen, but we also bought cold meat & pies from Forsyths which were excellent. Easy drive to Edinburgh too. We found several places to take our dog for walks near by. We like to explore different places, but if we wanted to return to the area we would look to see if this house was available. Thank you.

  • "Had an excellent family weekend stay at 30 Northgate, Peebles."

    The property is only yards from the town centre but had on-site parking for 3 cars, just great. The property is well equipped and was spotlessly clean, an aspect important to our family. The beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable and facilitated a good night's sleep. All in all, we had no negatives to our stay at 30 Northgate and would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a rental property in the Peebles area.

  • "We had a great time in Peebles, in part due to the fabulous weather we had."

    The cottage is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The location is unbeatable, being a few doors away from Sainsbury’s and the local butchers/bakery. We hardly used our car as we walked everywhere, including beautiful walks along the river and to Cadesmuir. We all loved the freestanding bath and our daughter particularly enjoyed the novelty of being able to watch Netflix in the bath! We had a couple of minor niggles (not unusual in a newly renovated cottage) but the owner was very responsive and everything was sorted almost immediately. The only issue is that the shower doesn’t drain well, so you can only have about 3 minutes before flooding starts. The owners are aware and I am sure they will soon resolve this. Finally, we made full use of the garden furniture and it was extremely handy to have an enclosed garden for our dog (who was throughly spoiled with her own pamper pack). We would highly recommend this cottage.

The property

30 Northgate is a large, beautifully-presented townhouse located in the heart of the wonderful Scottish Borders' town of Peebles.

This property sleeps six and welcomes a well-behaved dog, perfect for a family holiday or a get-together of friends.

As you enter the holiday home, its elegant style comes across throughout.

Step into the open-plan living space and you are immediately welcomed into a gorgeous area where you can socialise with your loved ones and dine or drink around the dining table.

There is a homely sitting area with a plush corner sofa in front of a Smart TV where you can look forward to curling up together and catching up either with each other or on your favourite shows.

When it’s time to eat, the wonderfully-appointed kitchen is all ready for the designated chef to whip up a delicious dinner for the holiday party and guests can take a seat at the dining table which overlooks the attractive gardens or, if the sun is shining, throw open the patio doors and step out into the enchanting walled garden at the rear.

It's a beautiful space to dine alfresco while soaking up any sun and taking in the beautiful surroundings.

At bedtime, guests can choose from two first-floor bedrooms, a king-size and a twin with a master suite on the second floor complete with a large bedroom and opulent en-suite bathroom.
