Meadow Barn

Lovely quiet place in an 'old' farm yard.

Empty undeveloped properties one side next door could be an eyesore but small private back garden somewhere to sit.... and with a hot-tub. House Martins nesting in the eves added a nice touch. Owner allows use of back field for walking, viewing pheasants & sheep. Nicely furnished etc with a good sized bed.

Perfect peaceful haven!

This was such a wonderful and much needed break. The cottage was cosy and welcoming and had all the amenities you could need. Linda was the perfect host. The view over the fields from the lounge and patio was so lovely. We have already booked again! Thank you

Lovely accommodation in a good location for walking and exploring.

Having upstairs lounge gave good views over countryside (and sheep behind property). Hot tub was very welcome.

We had such a lovely time staying at Meadow Barn for our 30th Wedding Anniversary.

The views from the back private garden are amazing and the hot tub was a real bonus after exploring stunning Shropshire in the day. The flowers and wine and Anniversary card was such a lovely surprise. Linda the owner is a lovely friendly lady with lots of local knowledge. We will definitely return.

Our weekend stay was amazing.

. The accommodation is beautifully designed and the attention to detail was 100%. The views are stunning and the hot tub was perfect for the relaxation we wanted. The Owner was lovely and welcoming. We will defiantly return in the future.

Lovely property in a great location.

Very well equipped and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time. Would thoroughly recommend.

Such a lovely, well equipped property and Linda is a fantastic host!

Super private garden, and fabulous to have the fields to walk around and take in the views on your ‘doorstep’.

Just a fantastic property, spotlessly clean and everything you need.

Hot tub a bonus. Location great for exploring Shropshire.

This place is AMAZING!

Lovely comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and the views from the garden are incredible. Excellent hot tub in the private garden (which is a real sun trap too!). Couldn't recommend this place enough...we have an excellent long weekend 10/10!

Beautiful little cottage, very clearly loved and well looked after by the friendly and helpful owner.

We enjoyed chatting with the sheep over a cup of tea! Hot tub spot on and nice extra touches such as dressing gowns as well as wine and fresh flowers on arrival. Would definitely recommend for a romantic retreat or a central base for exploring the local area. We had bicycles with us and the owner offered to let us store them in the end barn which was really helpful. Thanks again for an excellent stay.

Our recent stay at Meadow Barn went beyond our expectations, the Barn was beautiful, everything was so clean, and the attention to detail was perfect, everything you could possibly need was provided, we have stayed in other places but this was by far the best.

We unfortunately had to leave a day earlier due to a family crisis, we packed quite quickly, I forgot a couple of things, Linda contacted me to let me know, and even posted them back to me, as a host Linda goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect and ours was, thankyou Linda we will be back.

We had a perfect stay at Meadow Barns.

The cottage was perfect, well equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. Linda was helpful and friendly and excellent communication before and during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Lovely place to stay with nice views of the countryside.

Hot tub great after a days walking. Friendly owner who greeted us & checked all was ok midweek. Lots of places to visit in the area

What a lovely couple of days we had ,in this beautiful place.

The barn was very clean and well thought out, hot tub was a great extra, host was friendly and helpful, we would definitely recommend meadow barn

We had a wonderful stay at Meadow Barn for our anniversary.

In such a peaceful and beautiful area it didn't matter that it was quiet and not much around (there were still easily reachable shops around if required). Linda introduced herself to us when we arrived and showed us where everything was etc, thank you to Linda for being so hospitable and having us! A relaxing staycation in a lovely warm property that had everything we needed.

Absolutely loved our stay.

The property had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The owners were very helpful. We would highly recommend Meadow Barn!

Our second stay here and its was a fantastic place to spend our Christmas, definitely will be back

A lovely, clean, well equipped cottage in a perfect location for exploring Shropshire.

Would love to come again!

It was a pleasure to stay in this well appointed home.

Linda had thought of everything you could need. The hot tub was most definitely a bonus. Location was lovely and quiet, away from it all and yet a few minutes drive to the local supermarket Tuffins. If we were back in the area we would definitely book here again

Absolutely spot on.

Everything was excellent, from welcome to facilities to cleanliness to location, all were fab. Highly recommend.

As soon as Linda opened the front door, we were impressed.

A beautiful vase of homegrown roses on the table plus a bottle of wine were just the job! The barn had everything we needed for our three night stay and more as the hot tub was a real bonus. It was a delight to sit outside in the sunshine with the sheep to keep us company. We hope to return.

Very well appointed and equipped.

Loved the upstairs lounge with the views across the fields, great for watching the swallows and kites. Thank you for the welcome bottle of wine and the beautifully scented roses. Would definitely promote this listing to friends.

An ideal retreat location with everything you could require including a hot tub.

The owner was very friendly and helpful and the bottle of wine in the fridge was much appreciated. Highly recommended.

A beautifully presented well equipped barn conversion.

Lovely kitchen and eating area with adjoining bedroom and bathroom with shower. 1st floor relaxing tv room with lovely view across the countryside. Not forgetting the hot tub. Definately recommend.

This property was absolutely perfect just what we needed for our minimoon the day after our wedding.

The postcode given didn't take us to the location. However, the owner came and met us to guide us to the property and explained and easier route to the main road. From the moment we got to the property we felt right at home and relaxed, it was very clean and had everything you needed to enjoy your stay ❤️

Extremely comfortable, beautifully presented, Every thing you need for a mini holiday.

Hot tub a bonus, soo peacefull ,Welcome bunch of amazing fresh flowers, and bottle of wine. We had the most relaxing time, exploring Shropshire, a county we had not been to previously, will wholeheartedly recommend.

Beautiful property very peaceful .

Host very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back

Absolutely Idyllic situation and extremely restful.

The Hot tub was amazing as was the view from the hot tub and the upstairs Lounge. Standard of accommodation was superb and far out wayed our expectations. We would have a return visit in a minute.

Fabulous cottage, well equipped and just like the photos.

Surrounded by rolling hills. Host very welcoming. Location great for visiting lots of interesting places and walks from the doorstep. Hot tub fabulous after a days walking.

The owner Linda took time out to show us around when we arrived. The cottage is well equipped and kept to a very high standard. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfy. The location is very quiet and it was lovely to have the sheep and lambs running about directly in the fields at the back of the cottage. We visited many local attractions including Ludlow castle and the town of Ironbridge. The local farm shop in Ludlow is amazing and a must for the gin and cooked breakfast! Having the hot tub to come back to in the evening was just such a bonus! We will definitely be back to the cottage and the area. There is so much more we want to see! Thank you Linda for an amazing way to start the last year of my thirties! We both felt so relaxed and had a wonderful time. We both cannot recommend this place enough!

Everything was well thought out and brilliantly clean.

We couldn’t fault anything at all and Linda was an extremely good host. We made great use of the hot tub, enjoyed the beautiful views and even liked the pink theme in the kitchen. Kind regards Carol and Richard Phillips.

The reception from Linda was welcoming, she explained with clarity about the property and the Hot Tub.

The property was beautifully colour co-ordinated throughout. Very comfortable with some special touches added, i.e. flowers and wine....we settled in right away. Very clean and furnishings of a high standard. The view from the upstairs lounge was brilliant, lots of Red Kites, sheep, lambs and other birds and wildlife. Location is ideal for visiting Ludlow and many other areas. Thank you, Hboy&C

A super place to enjoy a rural escape.

The kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub privately appointed and clean. A lovely long weekend.

A beautiful place to stay made even lovelier with the Christmas tree being there.

Attention to detail with the decor & furnishings were faultless. Hot tub superb. Need to offer more availability of hot water and heating to make the stay more comfortable.

A lovely stay at meadow barn, clean and tidy with all facilities that you need for a fabulous stay.

The hot tub was amazing, nice to have a relax after a day visiting the area. I would recommend the barn for a few days away to the area at anytime.

Everything was just perfect.

A wonderful relaxed week even with storm Babet! Hot tub was the icing on the cake, used it virtually every day apart from Babet day.

We have stayed at several Sykes Cottages sites over the years but this is with out a doubt the best we have stayed at.

Linda (The Owner) welcomed us and was extremely informative on the best places to eat and visit. They were all extremely good. The accommodation is extremely clean and well finished. The hot tub is great and very private.Being left flowers and a bottle of wine is a great welcoming gift. The views across the fields whilst sat on the terrace are amazing. If you wish to stay in Shropshire , this is the place to stay.

Superb barn renovation .

Really warm welcome when we arrived . Such a peaceful retreat . Pat & Alan

We had a very relaxing stay at Meadow barn.

Linda the host met us on arrival and gave us details of cottage but also locally what was available which was really helpful. She was lovely, and later in the week showed us around her garden and other house she hires. . A bottle of wine and flowers were in the kitchen

Fabulous cottage well equipped.

Nice warm welcome from the owner. Plenty of info about places to visit etc. So very peaceful and quiet.

Meadow Barn is wonderful.

Clean, comfortable and has everything you need and more. The hot tub was just what we needed each evening after our walks. Linda is a great host and we will be back.

Really good barn conversion and comfortable accommodation.

Nice and quiet for a relaxing holiday. Red kites, bumblebees, butterflies and even the sheep added to the entertainment. Very convenient to get bus from Craven Arms to Shrewsbury or Ludlow and all stops in between. Would come here again.

Beautifully clean cottage with everything you need for a week away.

It was lovely lying in the hot tub watching the swallows, swifts and red kites. And the views from the balcony across the Shropshire countryside were wonderful.

I've already provided feedback to Linda.

But we had a most enjoyable stay which was largely due to the fabulous weather and the wonderful hot tub. The cottage was peaceful with a small garden and was very clean and comfortable. Shropshire is beautiful with many places to visit.

Fantastic cottage everything you need in a perfect spot for exploring glorious Shropshire.

Just so perfect.

A beautiful cottage perfect furnished.

ovely and quiet and perfect for a restful stay.

Such a wonderful find, a pink gem.

Linda was so welcoming and such a friendly person. The field view was amazing - lambs, red kites, buzzards and pheasants were lovely to watch whilst chilling, and Dollie the cat was a welcome visitor . Hot tub amazing - loved every minute of stay. We have already told Linda we will be back

Beautiful Cottage, Immaculate, Host very pleasant and friendly.

Couldn't fault it at all. Hot tub was great for relaxing in. Would highly recommend .

A well-appointed cottage in a lovely rural area.

It provided everything we needed for a relaxing break. Linda was always pleasant, friendly and available for any queries. If you want a get-away from it all and peaceful time then head here. Hot tub was relaxing and secluded. Some great walks and hikes in the surrounding countryside without having to get in a car.

What a lovely little pink palace , everything you could need is there , bath robes supplied were amazing and a decent size , spotless , comfy , peaceful and tranquil would definitely stay here again and not forgetting the hot tub all in all a super lovely place

we had a brilliant stay there was everything you need & the cottage & surrounding where beautiful we will go again

A lovely clean property with all you needed very impressed indeed would certainly go again

Comfortable property in quiet country location.

Views over hills from upstairs lounge. Ideal location for walking in Shropshire Hills. Free car parking in nearby Craven Arms ideal for using local bus service to Shrewsbury and Ludlow. Fryer Freeman fish and chips in Craven Arms recommended. Very nice to receive flowers and wine on arrival but felt that a small bottle of milk would have been most welcome. Host very friendly and met us on arrival.

Absolutely beautiful Barn we felt we could have moved in forever.

It was so clean and comfortable and Linda was so nice. The beautiful flowers and bottle of wine was a lovely surprise. We we’re ready for a chilled out holiday and that’s just what it was. The hot tub was ready and waiting for us. Beautiful garden to sit and watch the Red Kite. Thank you.

Lovely location, beautiful property with everything you need to have the perfect holiday there was even flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us on the table, The hot tub was amazing, the views were amazing and the owner Linda was so lovely, we would highly recommend giving Meadow Barn a visit, we didn't want to leave.

Thank you Linda for making us feel so welcome. We will be back.

Lovely little cottage, within a barn conversion, on a site with other holiday lets.

Upside down living with lounge upstairs overlooking the fields/views. The french door were open most of the time. Patio set outside to sit and relax and hotub if you so wished. We did not use. Very clean and comfortable with everything provided. Linda, owner, was about if needed but not at all intrusive. We are very familiar with the area and the positioning was ideal for us. Easy access to Craven Arms, Clun and Ludlow. With lots more places a little further if you like to adventure. Plenty of walks around and a nice walk around the fields next to the cotrage. Supermarket in Craven, tuffins, well stocked. Chip shop and take a ways too. Nice food at the Plough, Winstanstowe and The white Horse, Clun. Plenty of other inns around the area. Lovely and peaceful with the sound of the countryside around. Maybe benefit from a few leaflets/information about the area for those not familiar.Nice peaceful break. Thankyou for the wine and flowers too. A lovely touch.

Our stay at Meadow Barn was fantastic.

The cottage is excellent and Linda is great. Lovely location, plenty to do near by. We spent the days exploring local towns and National Trust locations and the late afternoons in the local pubs, The Kangaroo (food was lovely and Robinsons Cider is next level!), The Crown (hilarious bar lady and good gin selection). Of course we had to visit the three tuns for drinks and food (10/10). Evenings in the hot tub watching the sunset on the fields. A great time was had.

Linda who runs it all is lovely & kind.

Accommodating in every way. The cottage was clean and tidy on arrival & it was just a perfect way to spend my birthday

Meadow barn was very comfortable, with plenty of space for two people.

The outside space was well designed and the hot tub was excellent. Linda and Charlie were friendly and helpful and the setting of the property couldn’t be better.

We enjoyed our break and having time to ourselves.

Chilled, enjoyed the hot tub and bottle of bubbly.

We had a great holiday at Meadow Barn.

The cottage, which is in a lovely quiet spot, was comfortable and clean, and ideally located for exploring the countryside around the Church Stretton / Ludlow / Knighton areas..

Simply couldn't have been better!

Will definitely return.

Was done to a high standard very clean and well presented.

Tranquil location with lovely outlook onto fields and hills in the distance. Ideally situated to explore the area. Welcoming bottle of wine a lovely touch and the hot tub was a great way to relax after a day exploring. Everything about this place is first class and highly recommended.

Exactly what we needed, a fantastic place to stay for a couple of nights.

Me and my wife wanted a place away where it didn't matter what there was to do near by, we didn't want to go out and look around the local area. We spent the time in the watching tv and the lambs, which were brave enough to come right up to the fence. Then the evening was spent on the hot tub looking at the stars. Linda was great from the start when we got lost and ended up in someone else's farm, she was there to meet us and after a quick tour of the barn conversation left us to it. It was a lovely touch with the bottle of wine she should be proud of what she has done with the accommodation, then to text me on the day of departure to say there is no rush to go as there are no bookings till The following day. The next time we are in need of a break away from everything, I know where we need to go. Linda keep on doing what you do.

This is our 2nd visit to meadow barn and we were again very happy with our stay.

Lovely views of the meadow and the property was clean and everything was thought of. Linda was a great host again very kind and polite. Will return again in the near future

We really enjoyed staying at meadow barn, the accommodation just felt right and we loved watching the sheep and their lambs in the field behind us.

Nice views to back but shame view from front very ramshackle.

Bit over priced for what you get

This property is a great place for couples who want to escape for a few days and relax.

On arrival we met the owner who was a pleasure to meet, she gave us a brief tour around the property too! The pictures in my opinion did not do the property justice, it is a well presented, clean accomodation with all the handy/basic items. I was very impressed. The hot tub was amazing!! We made sure we used that everyday we were there lol The view at the back of the property was stunning too. I'd encourage everyone to walk at the back and just take in the view. Although there is another property next door, we still felt like we had a lot of privacy! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely too! My partner and I will definitely be returning next year!

A lovely place to stay, everything you need, the hot tub was great and the owner Linda was really helpful, just needed a few good local pubs which we didn't manage to find.

Would recommend a stay here and hopefully we will be back in the near future.

We had a perfect weekend away at Meadow Barn for our 2 year anniversary.

The property was immaculate - everything that hadn’t crossed our minds to take with us, Linda had already thought of. The attention to detail was superb. Lots of space within Meadow Barn itself and the views were nothing short of amazing. Linda met us at the property when we arrived and showed us around. A simply wonderful, relaxing break that was well received. We will certainly be back in the future.

An absolutely gorgeous cottage with everything you could possibly want and need for a holiday.

The hosts were lovely and on hand if we needed anything. The bed was really comfortable and the addition of the hot tub made our stay so relaxing. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back again soon!

Fantastically located cottage with spectacular natural views of the Shropshire countryside.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable, very homely and warm. If you want peace and quiet this is the place. Attention to detail is amazing. Everything is there for you. There are many nearby places of interest, places to walk, local pubs and amenities. After a long walk you can chill and relax in a very impressive hot tub. Loved our stay. Look forward to staying here again.

Our stay over Christmas was perfect.

We were greeted by our lovely host and the barn was absolutely perfect. It was clean and comfortable with fabulous views and it felt really private!

Lovely property and surroundings.

Underfloor heating great. Shower fabulous. Hot tub lovely. Looked brand new upon arrival. Radiator didn't get very warm even with thermostat turned up. Freezer only had one tray as other one missing. Overall lovely stay.

Meadow Barn is a delightful place to stay.

You feel relaxed as soon as you arrive there. Linda, our host was there to greet us and show us around and was contactable throughout our stay which was good to know if we needed anything. The views out the back are wonderful, and the scenery in that area is outstanding. The accommodation is well equipped. The bed is very comfortable - slept very well. Plenty of storage space for clothing, and the underfloor heating in the kitchen was divine. The living room upstairs has great views and is a perfect room to relax in. From the kitchen and out of the stable door you walk straight out into the garden, and then there are about 5 steps up to take you to another tier - there is seating there to take in the skies of sunset. Very happy with our stay at Meadow Barn :)

Amazing break, with fantastic hosts that went out of their way to make us welcome.

Cottage was pristine and comfortable and there were lovely little extras like a bottle of wine, dressing gowns for the hot tub. All in a beautiful setting. We will be returning

We had a most enjoyable stay at Meadow Barn.

The cottage was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Linda the owner was very welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We have already recommended the property to our daughter!
