An excellent property in a splendid place - even with the water company's efforts to shut off access to the whole area.

Very comfortable furniture, a fine bed, and good towels and bed linen. The cleanliness and general standards of equipment are exemplary, and the guidance notes produced by the owner mean, unlike some properties, that there will be no issue of wondering how appliances or anything else work. It's only about ten minutes to walk into the town.

I really liked the property.

It's maintained to a very high standard, very clean & well presented. I was disappointed though that the bedroom curtains were not lined, every morning at 0400hrs I was woken up by the daylight coming straight into my bedroom which made sleeping impossible hence the lower overall rating I've given it. The chairs in the living room were also tired & uncomfortable. They need replacing because they gave me back ache whenever I used them. Apart from those points the bungalow was great.

we have stayed several times at Tregarthens and always had a great week this time weather was so hot but it was nice to sit in the conservatory and time to relax.

We had a lovely week staying at Tregarthens cottage.

It was very clean and comfortable with easy access to the town. There were great walks from the doorstep and it was convenient to travel around the Shropshire area (and beyond). We would love to return one day.

2025 will be are second Christmas in this great bungalow.

I feel so lucky to have found this great place . Been to many self catering holiday lets this is my favourite one . So peaceful and quiet just what we needed. Everything available to make a great Christmas even a beautiful lit Christmas tree. I loved how the different lights came on automatically at dusk . 7

We love this bungalow - warm, comfortable and well equipped.

Idea for two couples who want to do some walking in the area, it's so beautiful. Buses from Church Stretton to Shrewsbury & Ludlow. Also good, accessible shops.

Lovely well kept clean tidy organised property Really appreciated the owners leaving so much helpfull information maps ect we cycled 100 mls all over walked the Mynd was sad to leave but took away happy memories

Spacious, comfortable, warm, spotless, well-appointed and well maintained bungalow in a scenic and peaceful location.

Great private car parking. Excellent detailed and helpful instructions and advice for everything in the bungalow plus lots of local information and maps. Excellent walking from the door and the week’s weather was kind to us. Church Stretton very accessible and pleasant from the bungalow’s hillside location. Great place to stay-so much so that have booked 2 weeks next year to come again.

Tregarthens had everything we needed for a quiet, comfortable stay.

It was very clean and spacious with fantastic views and lots of very clear information. The facilities were great, all the rooms were well equipped and the beds were very comfy. As the weather wasn’t too good for our stay, it was lovely to be able to sit in the conservatory which was bright & airy. I would just mention that the lounge & dining rooms are a little dated, however, this does not detract from the warm welcome they offer. Perfect base for exploring the Shropshire Hills and surrounding historic towns.

A lovely, spacious property with a well-equipped kitchen in a quiet location that was a pleasure to stay in.

Footpath access from outside the front door both to the town and the hills (although quite steep in both directions!). The large garden with its great views towards The Long Mynd was a bonus but be aware that part of the lawned area slopes down very steeply. We would be more than happy to stay again.

The bungalow is the best we have stayed in.

After a tough year to spend Christmas in this lovely place lifted my spirits.

I have been to many self-catering holidays over many years but this is by far the best so lovely and tranquil. It even had a lovely large decorated Christmas tree . It really was like home from home everything you needed . OK the hill too steep for 2 80 years old to walk into town but only 5 mins in a car . So all in all thankyou owners for letting us share your beautiful place . Hopefully we will be back

This was the most beautiful bungalow we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many !

!! A lovely view from the conservatory. It was cold so we put the heating on to make it warm and cosy, home from home. Very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. Centrally located to some lovely places. Would deffinately return.

Lovely detached bungalow with views of the Shropshire Hills.

It should be noted that there is no longer a DVD player as was advertised but this has been replaced with Sky and Netflix. The TV is now the latest model 55inch Sony TV. We found the property very comfortable and in a good location being only about 30 minutes from Shrewsbury. We hope to return in the future, hopefully in the summer months when we can make full use of the lovely conservatory. One of the nicest places we have stayed in.

When we booked this cottage we read the review left by David, August 2021, where he stated that the support had gone in lounge suite.

We assumed with the amount of time that has passed this would have been addressed. Unfortunately this is not the case. The suite is worn out, grubby and sags badly. This lovely 4 star bungalow deserves better.

We had a fabulous stay here, it was perfect, very clean, well equipped, and the garden was amazing I even saw a hare in there one morning.

The bungalow is in a beautiful, quiet yet convenient location.

It is well-equipped and spotless, and the owner is helpful and well-organised. There are ample walks from the door, as well as good bus and train services 10 minutes stroll away. The town's shops have everything for self-catering, as well as a weekly market. We four friends had a relaxing and interesting holiday and would definitely recommend Tregarthens as a lovely place to stay.

I would recommend this bungalow with no hesitation.

Tregarthens is really well located to explore the Shropshire Hills and the view of the hills from the garden is great.

There are lovely walks available right from the doorstep. However on arriving only one bed was made up and bedding was only available for one of the two twin beds ( we were not asked which beds we wanted). Some of the furniture is in need of some tlc or replacement. The vinyl facing on the drawers in the second bedroom is loose, so makes it difficult to close the drawers. The springs on some of the seating in the lounge has gone so you sink down too far making them uncomfortable. It was generally clean, but the shower head in the en-suite looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in years. The garden is nice, but for our liking there was too much road noise, considering you are some way from the main A49 running through Church Stretton. There are 3 TVs but none have catch up. There is one bluetooth music player, but that is in the bathroom! Overall the place is ok, but with a bit of effort it could be great.

Tregarthens is a cosy and comfortable bungalow with fabulous views from the garden.

We were out and about exploring a lot so did not use the well equipped facilities within the accommodation. Easy walk into the town for shops/cafes etc. Many pretty towns within easy reach.

Fabulous bungalow and a real home from home.

The conservatory was especially lovely with good views from the window. Close to the town centre and would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We have visited Tregarthens on several occasions which is a recommendation in and of itself.

A truly comfortable, spacious bungalow equipped to an exceptional high standard. Set in a wonderfully peaceful and tranquil location with stunning views of the Shropshire hills. Good range of shops a short distance away in delightful Church Stretton. So many interesting places to visit around and about. Everything you could possible wish for to make for a memorable stay.

Every reasonable effort was made to ensure Covid security which left the property somewhat denuded or ornaments, books, games etc but that was OK.

The main fridge was malfunctioning, but a spare in the garage was available. Given the pandemic constraints it was simply lovely to have a week away from home, and we enjoyed it very much indeed.

The accommodation was clean and tidy and matched the photographs.

Our expectations were exceeded in that there were excellent walks that started from footpaths within 50 metres of the front door -this enabled evening walks with the children which settled them for bed. The small town of Church Stretton was in walking distance, albeit the accommodation was on a hill so would not suit persons of limited mobility. Caer Caradoc and Carding Mill Valley were within hiking distance and provided from the door days out.The conservatory was an excellent space with good views; we relaxed there each evening as the rain pattered on the roof- before setting out again after a passing shower. The kitchen appliances worked well. The bathroom was beautiful with a built in TV feature. The owner responded promptly to a request we had. Our 4 and 6 year old children enjoyed the garden. Parking was for two vehicles was available on the property and access was straightforward. Caer Caradoc (from the house), Stiperstones (half hour drive) Ashes Hollow (5 minute drive) all allowed excellent hill-walking with a mountain atmosphere and wonderful views. The length of the walks suited energetic primary school age children.

What a beautiful bungalow in an excellent location.

It was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The view sitting in the conservatory with a glass of wine was very scenic. The main bathroom was one of the best we have ever come across in any cottage and the en-suite was an added bonus. Lots of walking routes in the area as well as other attractions.We will be going back to this plac soon..

An excellent property, very well appointed and prepared - the Christmas decorations were an extra and welcome highlight.

Best place we have ever stayed in exceptionally comfortable and well cared for with everything one could possibly want.

unfortunately the dryer part of the tumble dryer was not working and as the weather was inclement we were unable to use the outside clothes line either. One of the radiators was seized shut (twin bedroom) so rather chilly in that room in the morning. We left a note to inform owner. Otherwise perfect.

The bungalow was well equipped and in a superb location.

Even the weather, which was not at all good, did not stop us having a most enjoyable stay. A lot of thought from the owners must have gone in to presenting this holiday let and they are to be congratulatede.

Up very steep hill so if not active, need the car to go into town.

The house was in an excellent location, just a short (downhill) walk to a pretty little town.

But the walk back was not too strenuous. The area is lovely, with plenty to see just a short drive away. Ludlow was outstanding. The house itself is very well appointed and has lots of useable space.

It is a lovely and quiet location and only 10 minutes walk into town.

It was warm, comfortable and very well equipped. The views were lovely and it was a very easy walk to the pretty town of Church Stretton. Very convenient to visit Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Ironbridge.

Tregarthens is one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in.

There was everything we needed and more! The bathroom is beyond luxurious, although we didn't try out the built in tv! The views from the conservatory were stunning and we spent every evening in there, without even using the very comfortable living room. We would highly recommend Tregarthens.

Tregarthens was a superb holiday bungalow.

Great location very close to Church Stretton. A very well appointed property a real home from home. Every need catered for. A perfect week. Have used Sykes several times and all the properties have been excellent but this one was outstanding.

The Bungalow was spotless and very comfortable.

Tregarthens is a lovely spacious bungalow, with a very secluded garden to sit out in.

The Conservatory is a very comfortable, and a great place to relax and enjoy the view. The house is within walking distance to the centre of Church Stretton, where there are a good selection of shops, and cafe's. Church Stretton is a great location for walking, and touring Shropshire. I am sure we will be back at Tregarthens for another holiday in the future.

The bungalow is spacious, and very well equipped to a high standard.

Immaculately clean. Impressed by the stunning bathroom where you can have a soak whilst watching tv! There's a pretty, sheltered garden which is not overlooked. A lovely conservatory to sit in if the weather is not to your liking. The view from the garden overlooking the valley is amazing on a good day, Church Stretton is a lovely town with a very friendly golf course. Well worth a visit .

Shropshire is very overlooked, especially by international travellers, as a holiday destination but we found the area to be beautiful with stunning scenery and interesting villages.

Although the weather was cold Tregarthens was a warm home to return to each evening. The house has every convenience you could want and is excellently equipped throughout. Just loved the heated flooring in the bathroom. The views across the hills from the conservatory and the birds in the garden were delightful. The house is just a short walk from the village centre.
