This will be a fab property in a beautiful location when the updating is completed.

It’s very clean and well equipped, but whilst some fixtures and fittings are very new, some are rather old and shabby. I’m sure this is a work in progress and it wouldn’t stop us from booking to stay here again

We had a lovely weekend break, the location gave us peace and quiet, amazing views and just felt so welcoming.

The cottage gave us everything we needed, with a warm welcome from Sarah. We had easy access to local sites and amenities. We highly recommend.

The cottage is very convenient to Church Stretton but very quiet and peaceful.

The windows and doors both upstairs and down are superb, like a panaramic view.

Beautiful surroundings in very comfortable accommodation.

Lovely property in a great area for walking.

Had everything we needed. Owner is friendly and helpful, if asked, but leaves you alone otherwise. Would have been 5 stars except the garden is shared with the owner and another holiday let and is not secure when the owner's gate is open. Also, the wash basin in the bathroom is tiny, not really fit for purpose. ,

This was our third visit to this property, so obviously we liked it.

It is ideally situated for what we were planning to do. The property is well maintained, very clean and comfortable. There are lovely countryside views and it was good to see the cows and sheep with their new born lambs. Would we return to the property again? Yes, without question.

A wonderful quiet location for walking ‘from the door’, with foot access straight onto the Mynd close by.

I found the cottage light, clean and comfortable, & easy to just chill in. Sarah was very helpful in ensuring I was warm and provided a small plug in radiator which gave a quick heat boost downstairs first thing. Thank you Sarah.

A lovely, comfortable cottage.

A good size for two plus dog. Quiet lane which meant we could walk the dog to a NT area for a short walk. It felt very much a home from home, cosy with the fire going and all amenities you could wish for. Sarah was an attentive host, thank you for a lovely stay.

Cottage is in an amazing location, great for walks straight from the door.

Two good pubs within an easy walk. As other reviewers have mentioned the downstairs is very cold but boiling hot upstairs. A plug in radiator would be good as lighting a fire is not always convenient. A couple of coat hooks needed near the entrance to save draping wet coats over the chairs. Otherwise a lovely cottage equipped to a high standard.

As I started before but had no answer; the cottage itself is very nice but the drive up to it was quite bad due to the rain causing large puddles.

That, of course is due to the weather. The main problem is this: We only stayed one night as it was so cold in the living area that we were sat in coats. We tried to use the log burner (we have had one ourselves so know how they work) but it just would not stay lit. The logs were damp and as there was no other source of heating other than a very small radiator in the kitchen area, we just could not get warm. It was so uncomfortable that we went home the next day.

We had a lovely time regardless of the weather we found the heating downstairs wasn't warm enough upstairs was too hot turned down the rads.

The bed is very comfortable, shower good as well. Overall good

We had a lovely stay in this cozy cottage overlooking the fields and hills of Shropshire.

The cottage (annex to the main house) can be found along a narrow single track road with limited passing points, but this was not a real concern. The garden is secure so our dog could be let out with no concern. Of note is that the DVD player could not be connected to the new SMART TV, we could therefore not watch those films that we bought in the village. Remember to take your Prime / Netflix log in details. We would happily return.

Highly recommended for a break in stunning countryside!

Greeted by owner on day 1 and then we were left in peace.

Peaceful and comfortable.

A very comfortable, attractively designed and well-equipped cottage - possibly the best equipped I have ever been in.

I was alone but I would think a couple would find it quite spacious as well. It’s very quiet with a lovely outlook from the many windows: I spent some time just watching the moon rise at dusk. The friendly owners are next door but unobtrusive and otherwise one feels remote from anywhere, although the village is only half a mile away. Stunning area with great walks. I recommend this one unreservedly. (A hook on the back of the bathroom door would be a finishing touch!)

The location is peaceful with lots of walks from the door step which is great and there are even two pubs within a walking distance (a nice bonus).

This accommodation has definitely a number of positives: nice views, easy parking, modern bathroom, new TV and reasonably well equipped kitchen. However, if you are coming with a dog, there are a couple of thing to consider as the listing is not 100% clear when it comes to describing how dog friendly it is. Although there is a garden, it is shared with the owner's property and another rental so this might not be ideal for some. One day, one of the owner's dogs came to our door and even tried to follow us on a walk with our dog which could have resulted in an accident if our dog was reactive. I think it just needs to be clearly stated that there are other dogs on site and that the garden is shared so that this is clear prior to booking. Other than that the owner was helpful and responsive and if you are coming without a dog, I would 100% recommend it.

The cottage was lovely, with plenty of room, so didn’t feel at all cramped.

Plenty of room for parking as well, which is often an issue, but not here. Minton Lane is a narrow single track lane, not a problem as such unless you meet something coming the other way. We were there a week, and didn’t meet anything, so that gives some perspective. Would definitely return. It’s in a beautiful area.

Lovely quiet location with fabulous views but near enough to the village for a quick walk to the pub. Cottage had everything we wanted and lots of walks straight from the door.

We loved our week in Minton Lane Cottage and would highly recommend to family and friends who wish to holiday in the area.

The property is well equipped and cosy. The area is great for country walks and visiting historic places. Two lovely pubs within a short walk offering delicious food and ales.

Very nice little cottage, very clean, warm, we found it had everything we needed, comfy bed, safe outdoor space for dogs, quiet location, good WiFi, beautiful views, close to many fabulous walks.

Owners on hand for any issues although we didn’t have any.

The property was spotless, warm and cosy despite the snow outside and was perfect for what we wanted. Two pubs with great food and service in the village and plenty of options for walking and enjoying the area. Will definitely be back!

Lovely house, location, and owner, We really enjoyed ourselves while we're there, nice and relaxed feeling, lovely area, walks on your doorstep and close by car.

Nice and dark so you can see the stars at night. Perfect for people with dogs aswell.

A comfortable hideaway in the Shropshire Hills.

Sarah made us feel very welcome. Handy location for walking in the Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley. Two great pubs to eat in Little Stretton at the Green Dragon and the Ragleth Inn.

We had a really great pre Christmas break here, the cottage was lovely, perfect for two plus doggo.

Really comfy bed and good tv coverage. WiFi also good. There is a small fenced field on the property, great for the hound to play in, there is a stream at the bottom and a small pond. Super walking routes both from the cottage and nearby Church Stretton which also has a few pubs and a CoOp. Two good local pubs approx half mile down quiet lane. Peace and tranquillity here is wonderful.

We had a very pleasant stay at Minton Lane Cottage.

It is very comfortable and well supplied with everything needful. Our only challenge was the very small fridge....ok if you eat out every day, but we cook from scratch, and therefore had to shop very frequently, as we couldn't store lots of fresh food. Fortunately I had spotted this in the photograph of the kitchen, so came with suitable quantities. Obviously, this wasn't too much of a problem, and certainly didn't spoil our holiday. We loved the area and did lots of walking on the Long Mynd, as well as exploring local places of interest. Thank you Sarah for providing a lovely place to stay!

Friendly help from the owner who was always on hand.

Very comfortable and clean place to stay set in the hills. Fully equipped and with easy parking made it an enjoyable stay.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting down a very narrow lane between Little Stretton and Minton.

Unfortunately we were staying here when the heavans opened and the lane became a river and was almost impossible in both directions. The accommodation is good, but smaller than we expected...bed was excellent and all the equipment was fine...a couple of points I'd raise is that there wasn't a place to hang any wet coats downstairs....also an hoover would of be handy as there was only a brush and dust pan...also it would have been nice to have a T.V. in the bedroom...oh and a plug for kitchen sink...Bathroom was fine with a good shower. All in all a lovely place to stay, not to far from 2 local pubs...we would certainly stay here again.

a really fab cottage.

everything you needed. a very friendly owner who could't do enough to offer help if i needed it. would highly recommend it for a very quite stay. I was a single traveller and very really safe and happy here. lots of lovely walking from the cottage and a local bus at the bottom of the lane in the village every hour. so no need for a car .will definitely be back. Sainsburys even do online shopping to this cottage ideal as the nearest shop is 2miles away.

The cottage was clean tidy and comfortable.

The owner supplied all the extras like washing up liquid, kitchen towels, plus lots of other things. Waking up surrounded by open country side was very nice.

It was cosy and comfortable.

There were a few glitches regarding hot water but that was remedied by the owner very promptly. Our only complaint was that the outside of the property was not dog proof.

We found settee and bed not comfortable plus we were invaded by flies for some unknown reason.

We had to turn fridge up high as it wasn't keeping things cool.. Overall disappointed as when we stayed 3/4 years ago we found it comfortable but guess as you age you notice there things, we love the cottage itself and the owner Sarah is very helpful.

Lovely cottage in the heart of the Shropshire hills ideal for walking.

The cottage is attached to the owners house and Sarah was next door should you need anything. Can recommend walks on the Long Mynd, the Stiperstones and Caer Caradoc. Cottage had everything you would need for a comfortable stay with lovely views from the bedroom windows. 2 good pubs in little Stretton a 15 minute walk away and lovely cafes in Church Stretton. Regular bus service from Little Stretton to Ludlow and Shrewsbury both lovely places to visit with loads of history.

The property was only a short way from the village albeit along narrow farm tracks .

The owner was very helpful with a problem with a bathroom tap that refused to work and trouble finding the TV channels . The reason for 3 stars was because of builders in attendance for the whole week . It would have been nice to be told in advance .

The cottage has lovely views but we just thought the downstairs area was a bit small.

We are returning for a week’s stay in a month… need we say more?

Everything we needed for a week away walking, away from it all but within walking distance of 2 lovely pubs which served food. We did find it a bit hot upstairs at night but only because it was windy and we didn’t want to open the windows

Excellent dog friendly cottage.

Good facilities although bathroom needs shelf removing above basin as it gets in the way of washing as it is too low! Toilet cistern continually running plumber needed. But lovely safe garden, good selection. Of cooking utensils, saucepans and china/cookware. Dishwasher has selection knob missing and we washed by hand. Cottage warm and comfortable bed comfy. We all really enjoyed our stay and our dog loved it! No carpets polished floors so great for dogs!

The cottage was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. One little niggle, and it is the only one - it would have been useful to have a couple of coat hooks by the back door, as it was we had to put our coats over the back of the dining chairs.

The cottage was well provisioned and in a fantastic location for walking and visiting the area.

We would book the cottage again if visiting the area.

Superb holiday cottage with everything that you would need for a break away from it all.

Great location which was very quiet and peaceful and the garden area was a lovely place to sit in to wile away a few hours. Would definitely return when coming back to the area.

Bathroom only with wash HAND basin.

Shelf positioned directly above it made it impossible to wash your face or clean your teeth. Hot water/heating controls situated in bedroom wardrobe were constantly audible making sleeping not easy. Kitchen only had a wooden breadboard - no other chopping boards for meat or veg. Never come across a fan oven with all its shelves solid, no wire shelves. Only a tea towel provided in the kitchen - no hand towel. well-presented dining/living space was too full of furniture making moving around the space difficult. Just one clothes hook in entire property (in bedroom) - nowhere to hang outer garments, especially if wet - and no provision for hanging in bathroom.

We leave full feedback at the cottage and spoke with Sarah before we left.

It’s an excellent cottage, we have visited twice now. Other than needing half pint beer glasses it has everything you need for your holiday.

Very low water pressure upstairs which made showering extremely difficult, needed to fill pans with water from downstairs.

Returned to this property after our last visit in October 2021.

Once again found the property to be very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay when we further explored the area and were able to sit out in the garden/patio area on a couple of very hot and sunny days which finished off our break very nicely.

Just to mention that it is located down a single track road and it is used by tractors.

Unable to receive the internet with the code and password supplied. The holiday and the Shropshire country side was excellent we will return

Great cottage that had everything we needed.

Really comfortable stay. Lovely views. Dog friendly. Excellent location for walks along the Long Mynd. The only tiny negative was that the house/bedroom was never completely silent due to boiler murmurings.

The cottage is perfect for 2 people with a dog with beautiful views from all the windows and very well equipped.

Fantastic 2nd stay here only suggestion l would make taking into consideration electric prices Is it would help having more than 4 plates large and small plus bowls so that the dish washer Is used less often.

This cottage is a fantastic base for walkers, given its situation at the foot of the Long Mynd, in a very quiet spot (great for star-gazing) and where parking is otherwise quite limited.

A good food pub within a ten-minute walk is an added bonus. The cottage itself is warm, spacious (for two guests), well-equipped, with an attentive host and fab views, a comfortable bed and stylish furnishings. This is the second time we have stayed there. The only points it might be good to consider are: all the kitchen units have been painted a gaudy blue since the original photos were taken, which might not be to everyone's taste; the bedroom is roasting hot even with the radiators off - we needed to open the windows all night, even tho frosty outside. Plenty of wood was provided for the woodburner, not just an initial supply - this was generous, and appreciated.

Just had a lovely week at Minton Lane Cottage.

The weather was awful, but the comfort of the cottage meant that we could close the door, put the fire on, and forget about the wind and rain outside. The cottage is well appointed, and had everything we needed. There is a very comfy king size bed, and lovely views over the fields and hills. It's location meant that walks were within easy reach from the front door. The host was very approachable if you needed anything, but not in your way. The village pubs are within easy walk, and we would definitely look at coming back if we were visiting the area.

Properly as expected, the owner Sarah was on hand just in case of any little problems that may occur.

We had a lovely stay at this Cottage, well equipped property ( only thing missing was a Pizza cutter ) ideal base for touring & looking around Shropshire, comfy Bed and good Shower Room , the only downside in our opinion was the Garden & adjoining field , there was quite an amount of what looked like Builders rubbish , scaffold planks , pallets etc in various parts of the Garden , imo a weekends work to do a good tidy up , plus there were a few wobbly Paving stones at the entrance to the Cottage , a hazard to anybody with mobility problems, this is just our opinion and trying to be constructive, other than this we loved our stay ….

Perfect location for a walking holiday in the Shropshire hills.

Very comfortable property, everything good quality, owner on hand to sort any problems. Outstanding views, so a very congenial place to 'hang out' in inclement weather. Pubs serving good food within walking distance are an added bonus. Only critical comment - the photos of the living space need to be updated, as all the kitchen cabinets are now painted a vibrant blue instead of cream.

Minton Lane Cottage is set in a quiet location with easy access to the surrounding countryside on foot.

It is an ideal location for a walking holiday with a dog. There are two excellent pubs nearby (again within easy walking distance of the cottage). Both serve excellent food. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return.

We loved the location it was so quiet and the views were lovely.

We enjoyed watching the variety of birds in the garden. As well as the normal garden birds such as Blackbirds, Sparrows and Wagtails we saw Jays and a Woodpecker. The owner was very welcoming and helpful.

First visit to the area which did not disappoint, weather improved day by day.

The cottage and it’s location were excellent. The garden and nearby field were available for our dog to use. Everything we needed was at the cottage. Two excellent pubs to visit in Little Stretton, one with a wonderful view of the Long Mynd, great after a full days walking. We will be booking to go to this cottage again.

Minton Holiday cottage is situated in a beautiful part if the country with amazing views from all angles while still being convenient to lots of attractions and days out.

There are local walks including a gorgeous nature pond on site. The host is lovely and very welcoming and helpful. All in all a wonderful break, we will definitely book again.

The problems I found were no first aid kit plus no hand gel outside property or in property, other than that it was fantastic and look forward to going again.

The cottage is in a beautiful location with a train station for access nearby and two pubs within walking distance of the cottage.

The cottage itself is immaculate and cosy, particularly well-suited for one or two people and if the healing power of nature is what you desire then this area will not disappoint. Everything that we needed was here and the owner was very helpful. We were particularly fortunate in having gorgeous sunny weather and amazing night skies.

Perhaps a few things missing or we couldn’t find such as gravy body and egg cups.

Could really use a new cooker hob.

The cottage was in an excellent position for views and walking to near by Long Mynd and Church Stretton also 2 good pubs within walking distance.

Would highly recommend the cottage to anyone that wants to get away from hustle and bustle. Sarah was a very good host.

We attended in strange times in the midst of a pandemic, but thankfully we came from a tier 1 area and Little Stretton and Shropshire was also tier 1 so the journey was legal.

Owners very obliging and the cottage was clean and cosy. The two pubs nearby both very good and dog friendly. Great walks all around and great coffee/cake shops. We attended towards the end of October and got wet, but this did not detract from our enjoyment. The dog had a tremendous time too!! Highly recommended indeed.
