Had a fantastic stay here with family and a dog.

The owners were helpful, friendly and responsive. Would highly recommend this place.

What an amazing place!

Great accommodation in splendid surroundings with the Yew Tree pub so nearby and Church Stretton easy to get to. We have really enjoyed the walks from our doorstep (Caer Caradoc, Lawley, Long Mynd, Carding Mill Valley) and the hot tub!

The house was lovely, comfortable, well stocked with towels, cooking utensils/pots/pans, beds were comfy etc, the only issues were I could not get the oven to work very well and when I attempted to consult the instruction manual I realised that it was for an entirely different oven.

We managed to make do with the grill/hob and the microwave instead, as were only there for a few days and mostly ate out anyway. The only other thing was the toilet seat upstairs was very wobbly, and the shower was very temperamental in terms of heat control, but hardly spoilt the stay in what was otherwise a really lovely place. We really appreciated the little touches like the cake that was left for us and we were so lucky with the weather that we got to spend a lovely afternoon/evening in the garden surrounded by the beautiful views and loved watching the sheep, bunnies and birds in the fields around us. Also saw an amazing meteor shower from the comfort of the hot tub! Amazing experience. A great place for a very relaxing break. Would happily stay again.

Great property for 2 couples with dogs.

Loved our stay even though the weather was dreadful. Could do with sorting the outside light out for when you are in the hot tub in the dark. Makes getting to and from the back with steps a little challenging. Would recommend and we will likely come back. Thank you.

Barn was beautiful but unfortunately the TV was broken we didn't notice it straight away as we spent time in the kitchen while having a Xmas meal as a family .

We wrote in the guest book that we noticed it a day in as we didn't want to disturb the owners over the Xmas period. We were then sent a bill to replace a TV we didn't break which if we were honest spoilt the whole experience of having a break and we were very upset to be blamed.a suggestion going forward would be having a snag list and checking before next guests arrive as our priority was to have a break not checking if TV 's were broken from previous guests . overall beautiful place, lovely touch with homemade cakes but extremely upsetting to be charged for damage we hand on heart didn't do.we paid the damage but really we shouldn't have due to the fact it wasn't us but we couldn't prove it wasn't due to the fact we didn't check each room we thought this would've been done.unfortunatley due to that we won't be returning.would still recommended but if you do go definitely check everything as you may get billed for something you didn't do .

Very nice clean and comfortable accommodation with plenty of room and beautiful views to the Long Mynd.

Cooker ,Dishwasher and fridgefreezer all in new condition. Large secure garden for children and dogs. Owners very accessable and helpful if needed. Hot tub a bonus. Good local pub just a short walk away and more close by in Church Stretton, plenty of good food shops too. A very enjoyable stay.

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Old Hall Barn 2- everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to when we left.

The accommodation itself was beautiful, comfortable, clean and in a very peaceful and beautiful setting. The hot tub was wonderful, with lovely views - and ideal after a long day of walking. The enclosed garden and shared garden are brilliant for dogs. The location is fantastic - so many lovely walks on the doorstep as well as further afield if you want to venture out by car. The village is only a 20 min walk and is so friendly, with some lovely pubs and restaurants that welcome dogs. There is also a brilliant local pub doing great food just 2 minutes walk from the Barn. We would highly recommend and can't wait to return :-)

Lovely property in great location.

Absolutely lovely owners who are 'hands on' and very helpful. Delicious cake awaiting our arrival. I would have liked a bit more equipment in the kitchen as I cook for the family even on holiday but I know I'm unusual in that! Very comfortable beds and sofas and lovely hot tub. Really hoping to make it back soon.

We stayed here with our toddler, our dogs and some friends and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The garden is very secure for dogs and toddlers, and we spent most of the time out there! It's easy to walk into Church Stretton and there are some lovely walks around. We did notice a few cleanliness issues such as lolly sticks peering out from under the sofa and a few hairs on pillows before we had used the beds, but these were minor. Internal doors are also difficult to close and open and do make a loud noise when being used. There were also a lack of cleaning supplys such as wipes/kitchen roll.

The old barns are fantastic.

It was the 3rd time we have stayed in them. The views are great, very peaceful. The pub just up the lane offers a great of food. The lovely little town is within walking distance.

Was lovely place to stay, stunning views, nice fenced garden running down to a little stream, hot tub was nice touch though we didn’t use it.

Great little pub in the village two min walk away, with lovely dining room. Stunning countryside and minutes away from the A49. 5 mins from Church Stretton which is a really pretty little place with all the facilities you need. Master bed was really comfy, just one small thing, could do with a curtain up at both the front door and back door for those of us going to the loo in the middle of the night, never thought to bring a dressing gown!

We spent our 3rd Wedding Anniversary here and it did not disappoint.

Our 2 Sprocker spaniels loved the walks up the mountains and we enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day!! It has everything that you need for your holiday!! We will be back thanks

This was our second stay at Old Hall Barn 2 and it was just as great as we remembered.

Loved the Hot tub and the views. Lots of walks from the cottage without having to drive as well as a really good base for exploring the local National Trust properties and gardens. We had a problem with the bathroom light which was fixed within the hour, after we called to report it. really impressed with the speed of the response. Only minor niggle, and true of many holiday lets, is the lack of mugs, (There were 5 of us) necessitating frequent washing up every time you fancy a cuppa which makes the dishwasher redundant. Still a great place to stay and we would certainly recommend it and we'll becoming back sometime.

We loved every minute of our stay ❤️ we definitely be booking for our main holiday next year.

Had a wonderful time exploring the surrounding hills, then releasing our aches and pains in the hot tub.

Would certainly recommend and will definitely visit again…Lemon Drizzle Cake was a great touch.

The location was superb and the Old Barn itself was just as photos showed, so no complaints.

Only suggestion maybe do the netflix etc for lounge area more comfy viewing.

One of the radiators in the lounge/kitchen wasn't working and we were told that plumber would come out to look at it this didn't happen.

Second visit to Old Hall Barns.

Loved our stay in BARN 2. Everything you need for a home. Hot tub lovely, every day no matter what the weather. Beds are hard so I took my memory foam topper which helped as I do suffer with aches and pains. We'll be back.

Lovely area and nice property the hot tub was excellent just what we needed when getting back from a long walk with the dogs.

Would stay again but maybe the sofa in the living room needs fixing it was a bit uncomfortable, but it did not spoil our stay. Good enclosed garden for the dogs they loved it.

Excellent stay, this was our 4th time here and as always, everything was spot-on.

Will certainly be back.

Decent shower required in a cubicle rather than over a Bath.

Great house in a lovely quiet area.

Good location for visiting different areas of Shropshire via car. Would stay there again. The house was well equipped in the kitchen however I found a couple of pans had quite loose handles - still useable though. Could benefit from a second chopping board for when cutting raw meat rather than using the one for everything. The hot tub was great, but the house could really do with a door mat inside by the back door as when coming in from the hot tub outside you can still be quite wet so this drips straight onto the floor. We also took our own towels which was a god send especially with the kids being in and out of the hot tub a couple of times a day, it made it so we had a spare towel for when showering.

Perfect little get away for a family or a couple, loads of space and plenty of things to do

We had a lovely time at the property, it was clean and well equipped.

The hot tub was lovely. The barn is close to some beautiful walks and a decent pub within a five minute walk. The only negatives we had was a mat is needed inside the front and back door as the floor gets wet when it’s been raining. Also there are gaps in the fence so our dogs could see next doors dog and we had a dog who was scared to go out and another who is reactive. Also the dogs couldn’t go in any other rooms only the kitchen, I understand them not going in bedrooms but they couldn’t go in the lounge. On saying that the kitchen had a tv in and a big sofa so we stayed in there. We had a great time though and would stay again.

The property was well equipped, comfortable and well maintained.

The week of our visit was quite wet, nationally, not just Shropshire. The only suggestion I would make is to have door mats INSIDE both front and back doors especially during wet weather. Otherwise a lovely week in a beautiful area and the hot tub was the cherry on the cake.

We had a great stay at the old hall barn 2.

The bath is well equipped with everything you need, the bath is a lot bigger than expected, with lovely homeley touches. The hot tub is just an added bonus. Garden great for the dogs, there is a back gate which is a bit stiff which could do with improving when coming in that way with the dogs after walking. We spent a lot of time at the lovely local pub, beautiful walks are literally on the door step, amazing scenery. We were a little surprised that the dogs were not allowed in the living room or bedrooms, so we spent all our time when together in the one main room. When there are more than two of you it would be nice to have another chair to sit on rather than just the dining chairs. Nevertheless we had a lovely time and the beds were very comfy. There is a washing machine and the owner provides an airer, and a washing line outside.

Really enjoyed our stay.

Warm, comfortable spacious cottage with lovely views. Great location, friendly village pub 4 mins walk and Church Stretton itself easily walkable in about 20mins. Enclosed garden was perfect for the dog and made good use of the hot tub. Hope to return soon.

This was the 3rd time we’ve stayed here and we’ve already booked again for later in the year.

Very quiet and tranquil but all the amenities you need on your door step. Wonderful walks, lovely pubs and shops close by. This is our second visit and we will be back. Loved the Christmas decorations for our stay between Christmas and New Year. Thank you so much.

Lovely property in a great setting.

Lots of great walks from the door and the bonus of a hot tub to relax in later. The hosts were great, available on the end of the phone but not intrusive. We will be back .

We had a lovely stay here, there was everything we needed the kitchen was well stocked with plates etc The only thing that’s needs attention is the bedroom door downstairs as was sticking but obviously didn’t impact on our stay at all and one bedroom lamp wasn’t working downstairs, would highly recommend this, there was 4 adults and 2 children in our party and we all enjoyed the house and the hot tub

Excellent stay.

Property ticks all the boxes with wonderful views over the Shropshire hills. Plenty of walks locally and a really good pub within walking distance. Will be back in the New Year.

Lovely stay - the Barn was ideally located for getting to some of the beautiful towns around and the Long Mynd/Carding Mill Valley was just a short walk up the road.

We enjoyed the hot tub and the really beautiful views watching the sunset from the tub! Staff were around on sight and very friendly and really helpful both before and during the stay. Downstairs was very accessible for my disabled mum (other than needing to get upstairs for the shower, it was perfect!) We would definitely stay again.

Loved our holiday cottage.

Clean, comfortable. We met the owner most days as he worked in the courtyard who was very friendly, as were the other guests.

Everything was perfect we had an amazing time.

Could not fault anything regards to the above mentioned as in cleanliness, facilities. A very tiny request would be for there to be an ice cube tray ...we came to have drinks and no facility to make ice but we ate at the Yew Tree and they kindly gave us a tub of ice.....this is by far not a criticism just a suggestion ...... I have already passed on the details to 4 friends and we will be coming back as soon as possible.

Fantastic views from the fully enclosed garden which was perfect for our dog. Lovely countryside walks from the doorstep and a 15 minute stroll into Church Stretton and Carding Mill National Trust. Additional bonus was having use of the owner's nearby fishing lake.

The location is brilliant for walking and the views from the back garden are amazing. The main thing we struggled with were the beds which were really firm and took some getting used to! Would definitely go back, hot tub was lovely and the owner was very nice and checked to see we had everything we needed. A great place to stay!

Great cottage in the village of All Stratton - the kitchen area was fab and with 2 dogs, this is where we spent the majority of our time.

Hot tub was a great feature and well needed after walking the nearby Carding Mill Valley! Everything we needed was provided in the accommodation and we would definitely return!

The area was beautiful & the cottage was lovely!

The property was listed as pet friendly, however in reality the dog was confined to the kitchen area.

There were signs on the doors excluding the dog from entering the rooms.

Richard was so very helpful and even managed to get us an umbrella for the garden as it was so hot! The kitchen area was stunning and we didn’t expect it to be that nice! Gorgeous views of the countryside and peaceful surroundings. The only small thing was the bathroom was quite dark and needed more of a “power shower” but this didn’t take away from the rest of the holiday!

We had a great time staying at the cottage and loved relaxing in the hot tub at the end of each days walking.

Loads of great places for walking from the cottage. Dog had a great time. Cottage was really well appointed and in a great location. Would love to go back sometime.

Cottage was in a very good location, with excellent walks on the doorstep while still being very close to all amenities.

While the cottage was comfortable, there was a lack of attention to detail. Loose kitchen cupboard door; broken cutlery tray in dishwasher; very noisy bathroom fan and difficult to regulate shower. The bedroom curtains were very thin, so we were woken at 5 each morning when the sun came up. I would recommend this cottage, but only as 3*** accommodation.

Property is in a lovely position.

We did find that the showerhead in the bathroom needed attention, we could not get it to flow properly. Also we found the taps on the washbasins difficult to turn off. Otherwise we were comforable and happy.

Wonderful location with amazing walks.

Great place to take dogs. Loved the cottage overall, especially the spacious kitchen with soft seating area. Good outside space. Some attention to detail required eg broken cutlery container in dishwasher, dingy bathroom in need of decent lighting, heating settings all over the place and no instructions how to reset, soup spoons instead of dessert spoons, child-size forks only (who knew cutlery was so important?!)

Excellent holiday cottage in superb location.

Secluded garden with hot tub was perfect for my group, we were able to walk the hills and come back to relax very easily. Would recommend over and over and hosts were brilliant. The only 'issue' we really had was that between five adults, one shower is stretching it.

Lovely quiet location with beautiful surroundings and views.

Property clean and very welcoming. Would maybe benefit from a heated towel rail, although mainly due to us getting soaked on one day of our break. Would definitely visit and stay at Old Hall Barn again.

It had everything we needed, we enjoyed the hot tub, the secure garden was a must for our dog, a good base for exploring the surrounding area, friendly owners.

Also the nearby fishing lake kept the anglers in our family happy.

Great location for exploring nearby country side.

House is well equipped, warm and comfortable, plenty of space for 4 people.

This cottage was lovely, if there was a some sort of roof or covering over the top of the hot tub it would make all the difference on rainy days.

Although we still used it

The hot tub was excellent but there needs to be an outside light, the owner came & had a look & said he’d be back the next morning to fix it but never did.

The back door latch and handle were both broken so I had to use a fork each time we needed to open the door to try & prise it down. It was lovely & spacious but I wouldn’t stay again.

Beautiful spacious property with a huge kitchen dinner room and a separate lounge with a television in both areas.

The owner is very prompt to deal with minor issues and unobtrusively on hand for anything you may need. Stunning views from the hot tub and walking from the doorstep. A great all round thumbs up.

Owners very friendly but unobtrusive and some lovely welcome gestures on arrival, cake, milk etc. Would thoroughly recommend if you fancy a break away from it all or fancy a walking trip within the stunning hills of Church Stretton.

I came to old hall barn for my 21st birthday.

I work for Sykes on reservations and I had an amazing stay here. The owners were lovely and helpful if we had any problems the area is also really nice with lots of pubs and nice cafes for breakfast. Lovely lemon drizzle cake and Prosecco on arrival. The hot tub was lovely and the beds were comfy and the telly in the front room had Netflix which was a plus. Overall it was lovely and would 100% recommend!

This is an amazing place to stay, not just the cottage itself which was perfect for us but the amazing scenery, walks and biking right on the doorstep.

Church Stretton is a lovely village and has an amazing deli... our dogs loved it and were very safe in the enclosed garden... the hot tub was very clean and warm. The owner was very helpful but not intrusive and even added a plank to the bottom of the fence so that our nosey small ninja dog couldn’t escape... oh and the lemon drizzle cake was amazing!! Thank you.... highly recommended and we hope to be back

The cottage is in a beautiful location and was spotlessly clean, well equipped and had lovely comfortable beds.

The owner was friendly and very quick to respond when there was a slight issue with the loo which was promptly repaired. There is a good sized enclosed garden which was great for our dogs. We will be back!!

The property was spacious, comfortable and well equipped.

There were some lovely, welcoming touches from the owners and they were unobtrusive during or stay. The views were amazing with pub just around the corner and the main town of Church Stretton about 1.5 miles away. Loved the hot tub and property offered an ideal base to explore some of the Shropshire countryside.

The cottage is lovely, comfortable and well-equipped.

My dogs were very happy in the enclosed garden. Lovely views from the hot tub! The owners were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. There was plenty of wildlife to watch from the garden - my mum even saw a heron close-up, that came down to the stream at the bottom of the garden. There are a lot of walks nearby, with Long Mynd and Carding Mill Valley virtually on the doorstep. Church Stretton is about a 15 minute walk (or a quick drive) away - a pretty little town. The golf course also welcomes walkers and dogs (on leads, there are sheep everywhere) and you can get a coffee there when the clubhouse is open. We had a nice lunch in the beer garden of the pub in Little Stretton, which also allows dogs. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay if you like walking, or just want to sit and relax.
