Nant-Isa was perfect for us.

The hosts, Tracy and Paul were lovely. The cottage was amazingly clean and well equipped, and there was a welcome basket that was very welcome! We enjoyed being able to feed the animals and the regular visits by the cats!

Wonderful, clean, comfy cottage.

The owner had left a welcome package, with fresh eggs, milk and orange juice. Everything had been thought of and we were warmly welcomed by Poppy the cat. The nearby Stiperstones pub was great for a meal and very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed afterwards.

The hosts were helpful and friendly, and made us feel very welcome, although they were next door you didn’t feel like you were intruding. Having the animals there was lovely and being able to see the donkeys through the back window I am still missing. Nature is right on the door step, from the bats, hare and wood pecks all in the lane out the front. There was so much for the whole family to see and do in just a short walk or drive away, and the views from the cottage were beautiful. We would highly recommend this cottage.

We had a lovely week at Nant-Isa, despite the June weather being more like April!

It's a lovely cottage in a very picturesque and quiet location. We really enjoyed watching the antics of the pigs, goats, and particularly the donkeys, all of whom loved attention. And of course the dogs and cats, including the very-friendly Poppy! The cottage is very comfortable and extremely well-equipped, with pretty much everything you could think of provided. One of the best equipped we've come across, and a nice welcome pack was provided. The hosts Tracy and Paul, who live next door, were friendly and on hand if you had any questions, but not intrusive. The only slight drawback are the narrow, windy, country roads (at least for city dwellers!) to get anywhere, but that's to be expected in a rural location. This is far outweighed by all the positives and I would definitely recommend.

Great to return to Nant-Isa, always a welcome holiday home with friendly and helpful owners on hand in the adjacent property.

It was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. Quiet surroundings with any number of footpaths nearby.

Cottage very well looked after, peaceful, had everything you needed for self catering and was spotlessly clean.

the house was perfect, everything needed was provided; comfortable beds, and armchairs, Lovely kitchen with instant hot water, everything was clean and sparkling with an absolutely fantastic welcome hamper- the best I have ever seen.

Recycling was easy to follow and ...well it was one of those perfect paces to stay- thankyou

We know and love Shropshire and chose Nant-Isa for its position.

And we were not disappointed. What a view from the living room window of the Stiperstones and the moon coming up. We immediately felt at home. The cottage was well set up and we would definitely come again.

This is a delightful cottage from which to explore this area of Shropshire.

Everything is very clean, organised and well equipped. The hosts, Tracey and Paul, were helpful and ever so nice. (when I left my new, expensive hearing aids behind, Tracey rang me when we were only 20 minutes on our way home, so we could easily come back and retrieve them). We had great outings to Ludlow, Stokes Castle, Wroxeter Roman Town and Stiperstones Natural Reserve. The countryside views from this cottage will bring warm memories of beautiful Shropshire for quite some time.

A fabulous cottage with everything provided that we could possibly need.

This is so much better than many other Sykes cottages we have stayed in. The welcome pack was also the best we’ve ever had too. The bed was comfortable the shower was great. We really enjoyed seeing the goats, donkeys and pigs each day!. The location suited us well and we had some great walks and visited some lovely castles (Stokesay, Ludlow and Powys.

Perfect for our needs.

Nant-Isa was beautiful, clean and very welcoming. Tracy & Paul were very friendly and always on hand if we needed them. The kids enjoyed the animals so much that they didn't want to leave and took a special liking to the donkeys! The location was perfect for our family needs as we were able do a lot of exploring by foot and even walked into the local pub one of the evenings. Not a bad word to say, thank you.

Perfect for a ‘home away from home’ break.

VERY clean, All equipment you could want. Great shower. Great WiFi. Friendly hosts on hand if required. The only thing I didn’t like is the approx 300m of loose, stoney, gravelled, potholed access track from the main road…..and a 9.00 am ‘vacate’ time !

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location with fantastic views from the cottage and the garden.

Extremely well equipped providing a very comfortable holiday. Sitting in the peaceful garden looking towards the Stiperstones is the place to drink tea and soak up the sun after a walk.

Owner delightful to chat to and obviously loves the situation which made us very jealous. Animals add a different dimension, pigs make a charming alternative to our compost bins! The two donkeys great to feed apples and carrots to which they greatly enjoyed. The shaggy sheep a delight on the eye. Would recommend and be very happy to return to Linda and Terry Williams

Despite the weather we really enjoyed our stay at Nant-Isa, the cottagewas clean , comfortable and had everything we needed plus the welcome pack was spot on.

The area was beautiful and we had great walks with the dog from the door.plus the pub is dog friendly too.A real bonus was all the animals which we fed, they were real characters! Thank you Tracy and Paul you are wonderful hosts.

We’ve stayed in a lot of holiday cottages and this is one of the best we’ve been to.

Immaculately clean and well presented, every facility we needed was provided. And all set in a beautiful quiet area. Highly recommended!

Probably the best Sykes cottage we’ve stayed at so far .

Paul and Tracy were very friendly and helpful and the animals were great . It was fun feeding our veggie bits to the pigs. . The cottage was very comfortable and well maintained with everything you could possibly want . The email from Tracy was the best and most comprehensive ever received. Wonderful views from the front windows of the stiperstones and incredibly quiet . Also a lovely seating area outside both front and back doors . Watch your head on the front door it’s quite low (lots of warnings) so we used the back . Overall a really lovely week in a terrific cottage.

This is a superb cottage to stay at.

Nant isa was one of the best holiday lets we have had.

It was very clean and tidy and in good decorative order, A lot of thought had gone into equipping the cottage including little things like a sewing kit and in the kitchen tin foil and wrap and even a steamer. The welcome pack and bowl of fruit was very much appreciated. A very peaceful location with fabulous views of the Stiperstones and lots of walks from near the cottage. But best of all was the animals, Pigs Donkeys Goats and Dogs, we loved them all. A fabulous retreat!

On a small holding with very friendly sheep! Wonderful views, easy access to the area and yet quiet and secluded. Lovely hosts, who are next door if needed. Very clean with lots of facilities and supplies for your stay. Would recommend staying here.

Lovely home-from-home cottage in idyllic location, close to Stiperstones Ridge.

Perfect for walking straight from the door or a short drive to many interesting places nearby. Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need to make your holiday enjoyable, including a fabulous welcome pack on arrival. Owners are very helpful and friendly and all the animals are a bonus too. We liked it so much, we booked to return even before we had left! :)

The cottage mage a great base to explore this part of Shropshire.

we were aware it was on a small holding but thought the animals would be further away. This wasn’t a problem but a surprise.

This is the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in.

We arrived to a great welcome from Paul, Tracey Dillon and Bronwen who live next door. the welcome pack was more than generous. The cottage is on a small-holding with heritage breed sheep, goats chickens and a duck who thought he was a chicken. There was also Mavis and Lilly the two special breed pigs, characterful but no small. The countryside round the cottage and the view from the house is magnificent. In all a superb holiday base

Everything we needed for a week's stay away with two young children.

Amazing property, amazing views and perfect hosts.

We couldn't have asked for more. From the wood burning stove to the quality of furniture and fit out. We took our 5 year old grandson who equally enjoyed his stay. Added bonus when Tracy provided feed for the goats and sheep on the farm, which my grandson happily accepted and fed the animals. Lots of toys and dvd's but we were so busy enjoying the location that we never used any of the games. The fresh eggs provided was an extra super touch. Thanks Tracy, Paul and the rest of the family.

We enjoyed are stay and this was a great improvement on our holiday last year.

The animals on site made a big difference for breaking up the stay for our kids. The owners kindly took us for a tour of all the animals and explained their diet and personalities. There were a lot of things you might forget to bring already included in the house like tin foil etc and even home grown eggs from their chickens. The double glazing kept the place quite and we were never woken up by noise.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and the owners were very helpful and hospitable. The animals provided endless entertainment and we wished we could stay longer in such a relaxing environment. We recommend for an enjoyable holiday.

The accommodation was very clean, absolutely spotless. The welcome pack/hamper was brilliant the best I’ve come across on my various cottage holidays and also all the extra useful bits in the kitchen to cook and make packed lunches. Brilliant area for walking and cycling and we would definitely stay here again.

Our second stay at Nant-Isa, which continues to please.

Lovely greeting from all the family, including the animals, and a nice goodie pack on arrival. Lots to do in the area (we particularly liked Stokesay Castle), with some spectacular walks from the property, some of them challenging, especially for oldies. But the best thing is the peace and quiet, with just the sound of birds and sheep. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful property in lovely surroundings .

Everything we needed was to hand , even a lovely welcome pack for both us and our dog .

Very clean and well equipped inside the property.

However it was not private or peaceful. I chose Nant-Isa because it was on an unmade road, so I assumed there would be little or no traffic and more importantly, since I own a dog, I chose it because the description stated, ‘patio and garden’. As in all the properties I have stayed in in 40 years, the garden and/or patio is always enclosed and usually private UNLESS the description says otherwise. The patio was shared with the owners the garden was open to the drive and road,so not dog friendly at all. There were several vehicles and walkers using the road each day which was only a few metres away from the front of the property.

Beautiful views, interesting area to explore and ideal for walks etc The cottage was a great home from home, with friendly owners who were happy to give us a tour of their small holding. We will miss the pigs, sheep, goats, donkeys, cats and dogs!

Nant-Isa is a lovely holiday cottage situated in a beautiful, quiet setting overlooking the Shropshire countryside.

It gave us the perfect base for the autumn break we were seeking. The cottage is clean and comfortable and very well equipped - a true 'home from home'. The owner is friendly and helpful and provided a generous welcome pack of basic foods to get our holiday started. The goats, pigs and donkeys were a delight when they welcomed us over the fence after our days out. The cottage is warmed by central heating but has the added bonus of the log burner in the sitting room. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay, exploring the local towns and walks. I would recommend this holiday cottage and we hope to return in the future.

Animals really friendly. The cottage feels like it is in the middle of nowhere but is actually in the middle of everything. Great walking and cycling from the cottage and within 10 miles. Just remember if cycling there are hills about.

Comfortable, spacious, very well-equipped cottage in beautiful location with views of Stiperstones ridge.

Warm welcome from Paul, Tracey, Bronwyn and Dylan. The cottage is on a smallholding, which accommodates sheep, goats, two donkeys and a pair of affectionate kune-kune pigs, great company visually and audibly. We were able to walk straight from the cottage to the ridge, where we saw red kites, curlews and other upland birds. Nice pub within walking distance, in Stiperstones, and buses run from there to Shrewsbury. Easy travel to Stokesay Castle (recommended), Powis Castle, Acton Scott Farm, the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge. Nice pack of fruit and goodies on arrival. We loved this cottage and intend to come back soon.

A superb cottage with everything you can think of contained within it!

I always take sandwich bags, kitchen roll, hand soap foil..... but it was already there! Everything you could want and more. Very comfortable cottage too with lovely beds, warm, cosy and close to some great eateries! The animals were a bonus with the girls and we were all sad to say goodbye!

Very well equipped, dog friendly cottage in pretty setting overlooking Stiperstones.

This is a wonderful cottage which is furnished very comfortably, well fitted out, spotlessly clean & in a lovely location.

The gardens are pretty whilst the views, from inside & out, are beautiful and that whatever the weather. There are lots of walks, of differing lengths, straight from the front door. You could, however, just stay at the cottage to unwind in the peace & quiet. Thank you Tracy, Paul, Bronwyn & Dylan for your warm welcome, not just on arrival but throughout my stay. Thank you too for the welcome pack along with the nice touches such as hand soap at each of the wash basins & sink. I shall be sure, when I next visit, to bring enough carrots & apples so that the donkeys get a good supply of tasty treats!!

We had an amazing time, the cottage is beautiful and in beautiful surroundings.

The view was lovely to wake up to each morning and everyone is super friendly. Our girls loved interacting with the farm animals and will really miss them especially Freddie the ram. The welcome basket was a really special touch & even the pooch got a treat. We will certainly be going back!!

If you love beautiful scenery, peace and quiet and animals this place is perfect for you. The cottage was spotless and cosy with everything we could want. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise, and the owners and their family warm and welcoming. For us the animals made this break, cats, dogs, donkeys, goats, chickens, sheep and a peacock and peahen - all very friendly. My daughter even got to hold a week old chick - a wonderful experience - thank you Bronwyn. The area is filled with walks and places to explore right on your door step. The walk up and across the Stiperstones is a must, Tankville and Snailbeach mines good to explore and Shelve forrest has a mountain bike trail. This is a hidden gem.

Nant Isa was simply perfect.

The cottage was cozy, warm and perfectly decorated. Everything that you could possibly want, need or even think you might need was supplied. The welcome pack, was more like a hamper than a little pack. Gifts of chocolate, prosecco and a new years card were gratefully received. Tracy and Paul were the perfect friendly hosts along with all the other animals. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring Stiperstones and beyond. Couldn't recommend this cottage any higher.... it's just perfect. A real treasure.

The peace and quiet, and the wonderfully rugged Stiperstones.

Wonderful location.

The cottage was absolutely immaculate and incredibly well-equipped.

The owners, who live next door, were very friendly, helpful and welcoming without being at all intrusive and left a very generous basket of goodies to get us started, including some lovely things for our children. The location is absolutely wonderful - peaceful and very rural but within easy reach of lots of days out.

First visit to Shropshire, the cottage is in a great location for walkers and anyone seeking a quiet and peaceful holiday.

If you have children they can enjoy the outdoors in a safe environment and meet the owners friendly animals. One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Paul, Tracy and family were helpful, friendly but not intrusive. Highly recommended.

We were very happy with the cottage, Tracey and Paul clearly had thought of every little detail to make people comfortable whilst staying.

The amount of equipment in the kitchen was excellent and the cottage was decorated and fitted out to a high standard. It was lovely to sit out on the patio and view the hills and Stiperstones in the distance, whilst enjoying the peace and quiet with the resident goats, donkeys and sheep. Our son particularly enjoyed helping out on the small holding farm, and thanks to Bronwyn & Dylan who gave him an insight of what it's truly like. Nant-Isa is certainly in our top 5 cottages of where we have stayed around England. Thank you for making the holiday a memorable one.

A lovely, well equipped cottage run by very friendly hosts.

Very quiet and peaceful within easy striking distance of the Stiperstones and numerous walks in the Shropshire Hills. Families with children would love to visit as there are a selection of animals to see and pet. We timed our visit well as lambs were being born almost on a daily basis! Would thoroughly recommend Nant-Isa

A relaxing and peaceful place with everything you need for a great break! So many home comforts and extras.

Delightfully cosy cottage that proved perfect for our family of four (including two small children) to explore the local area.

A basket of goodies was a thoughtful welcome gesture, and the cottage had everything we needed to feel right at home straight away. The view towards the Stiperstones is stunning, and we enjoyed lots of fantastic walks from the door (as well as further afield) with some refreshing pub stops too. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone wanting to enjoy the best of this beautiful part of the country!

The cottage was spotless with a welcome basket of goodies for us and also one for the dog! This was the best appointed cottage that I have stayed in with everything that you could possibly need provided. It’s in a great location to visit all the nearby towns and also has some great walks directly from the cottage. Well worth a visit!

Tracy Paul Bronwyn and Dylan are a great family.

They made us so welcome. The cottage is perfect and snug with a log burner in the living room. Large kitchen diner really well equipped. You won’t have to bring any cooking utensils on a visit to this cottage. 2 double bedrooms with really comfortable beds. Great shower and 2 loos. To cap it off you’ve got stunning views. Perfectly placed to explore the local area with a great pub in the village. Good pub grub at really good value. If you run out of anything you have to visit Arkwright store attached to the pub. The smallest store in the country with the largest range of goods. I kid you not. You will be made very welcome at this lovely cottage and have a wonderful time. Enjoy

We had a lovely 4 night stay in the cottage.

It is beautifully appointed and spotless, everything seems brand new. The view over to Stiperstones is lovely and the owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. It is a lovely area to explore with great walking and some interesting National Trust properties to visit.

Everything at Nant Isa was fantastic and our hosts were brilliant.

The owners had provided absolutely everything to make this holiday easy.

Simple things which other cottages have not provided, such as kitchen roll, cling film and foil all go to making cooking and picnics better. The kitchen equipment was immaculate and loads of it. The cottage was pristine, and beds and bedding very comfortable. The owners left a goody basket full of delicious treats, and a small supply of tea and coffee making items also left. I cannot praise them enough.

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at Nant Isa in the Shropshire Hills and we could not be happier with our experience.

We have stayed in many cottages over the years and this was definitely one of the best - the owners Tracy and Paul could not have been more thoughtful - their welcome and their attention to detail was amazing. Everything we needed was in the cottage, the location is peaceful and easily accessible and we had many days out and about exploring the area to then come 'home' to such a lovely environment was just perfect. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Nant Isa and hope to return ourselves as we have definitely fallen in love with the whole area.
