From start to finish the Hayloft was spot on.

The cottage was easy to find …just beware of the narrow roads and oncoming traffic. Parking space was a bonus. The pub across the road is friendly and welcoming. Serving food & drink at reasonable prices. The accommodation was very good lots of pots pans and cutlery. Sofas and beds comfy. For me I’d have preferred another handrail on the stairs though as my knees aren’t what they used to be. Shower was easy to work and had instant hot water unlike some you have to run for a while. The outside area is a proper suntrap and having the hot tub was a real bonus and very welcome. Thank you so much to everyone involved in making my stay a happy one.

An amazing cottage!

Plenty of room for 2 people. Good well maintained facilities. Clean on arrival. Great walks from the cottage and easy reach to so many other tourist attrations. Shrewsbury is a nice place to visit for its history. Hot tub was certainly a welcomed addition after a long day. Pub opposite is a must for food and drink with friendly bar staff. Little shop next to the pub is a great service, has everything you need.

This is a superb cottage in a wonderful location.

Phil and Lara were exceptional hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. It is an ideal escape for 2 and a dog. Very comfortable and clean accommodation and a thoughtful welcome pack greeted us. A very nice hot tub in the back was enjoyed many times throughout our stay. The pub opposite offers a great range of meals and beers and are very reasonably priced. The shop next to the pub is stocked full of everything you would need and prices are also very reasonable. We are very much looking forward to a return visit booked in January 2027. All the staff and locals in the pub made us feel very comfortable and welcome. One of the nicest breaks we have had in a long time. Thanks again Phil and Lara !
